  • Should probably clarify that you will need to choose the Amazon UK supplied option as the default one coming from Digiplus does not ship to Australia.

  • Very good lens, I bought from DWI 1 month ago for 417 including the shipping and 2% surcharge, I would buy from amazon for sure, if they can do similar or even a little higher price at that time. Good found!

  • +1

Also the olympus 45mm f1.8 only sell for around AU$319 after delivery, cheapest I can find!! Bought one.

  • Great lens this, nice find

  • Tempting, but already have a Panasonic Lumix G 14mm F2.5! (for less than half of the price of 20mm F1.7 too!)

    • I have both, they are totally diff lens, 14mm is for mostly landscrape, 20mm is for street or walk around, for IQ, 20mm is obviously better than 14mm, especially the corner, there is no way you can use 14mm to replace 20mm unless it is 25mm f1.4

      • Thanks for the info nicky100!

        • I haven't used the 20mm, but I have the 14mm, it's ok for the cheap ebay price and its compact pancake shape, but it's pretty average in lowlight and the overall image quality is only a tad better than the kit lens…so i guess you get what you pay for…I think it's too wide for an everyday lens, good for landscape though.

        • the 14mm is the KIT lens:)

        • For certain cameras in Panasonic's m43 range, yes. But not all of them, many come with the 14-45mm 3.5-5.6 zoom. OP didn't specify which camera he had.

      • I just bought the 25mm Leica f1.4, there isn't really a reason to get this as well is there?

        • nope.

        • Only if you want a lens can do similar job as 25mm but much smaller. 25mm is a better lens as it focus faster, tinny sharper, but it almost twice heavier and bigger than 20mm. That is why I bought the 20mm

  • NVM.

  • I wonder if there is anyway to claim the cashback? Because the money can be paid via paypal

    • Don't think so, it states it only applies to EU residents…

  • Any thoughts on the Sigma 30mm…? Esp on low light performance…?

    • I was originally look at the Sigma, at about half the price of the 20mm, it was quite tempting. But the F1.7 and pancake form factor won the day. However, from the reviews that I have read, the 30mm is a pretty good performer all round, obviously its a bit slower but I haven't seen any major issues. (The only complaint I have read is that when powered off, some thing in the lens rattles around. This is because its a stepper motor and its free when unpowered, so some elements in the lens can move around. The stepper also causes the start up time to be slower as well, because it needs to re-index itself to find its location.)

  • Just looking at B&H, you can get these for $359 USD, which, after adding shipping, comes to about $373 AUD. If there were any other camera goodies you were after such as more sd cards etc, B&H might be a better option.

Off topic - if you were planning on using this with an Olympus E-M5, there can be banding issues in certain circumstances - but I've yet to encounter it personally.

    • Shipping at B&H starts at

      Choose a Shipping Method
      $33.46 UPS Worldwide Expedited
      4-6 Business Days Delivery
      $62.40 UPS Worldwide Saver
      3-5 Business Days Delivery
      $92.40 FedEx Priority
      3-5 Business Day Delivery

      for Australia.

      • Yeap.. so… 359 + 33.46 = 392.46.. current live fx rate is 1.059.. say 1.055 from 28 Degrees etc… then get $372. And, as I said, if want more from B&H, then it'll possibly be a better deal again.

Also, the shipping is fast, 4-6 days with tracking. Not sure about the Amazon GB one?
