Why is donut king trying to kill me?

Also, someone please tell their marketing department to stop trying to make "Cinnis" a thing.

    • +2

Yeah just grabbing a pack of cinnis maaaaaattteee

      • +5

A few cinnis and a couple of ciggies. Breakfast of champions.

        • +1

          And a mother/dare iced coffee

        • +1

Not sure if you are joking but this was my house mates breakfast in his 20s.

        • +1

      Price
      ?

    • +3

They donut show prices online. Pick up the phone and call your local store to find out.

      • +2

        bargains need prices
        .

        • +3

never fully trust a shop that dont have prices advertised on their website, probably dont deserve much business either

      • +3

        +1 for the casual pun

    • +9

I've found a page that suggests six is about $12, whilst 12 would otherwise be about $18. So properly you're talking a 33% saving, not the half price that their campaign effectively suggests. Smart marketers eh (apart from that "Cinni" shit)

@Nugs you know what's funny? People upvote a deal that doesn't have any price details. Buy 6 Cinnamon Doughnuts Get 6 Free Cinnamon Doughnuts. What if to buy 6 doughnuts will cost you $$$ instead of $$ ? Just saying. It might be a good deal. But without the price we can not know that.

      • Surprised? It's OzBargain and there's a deal including junk food with 'free' in the title. You must be new here.

        • -1

I am not new. Just I thought price on title it's required. It's like I am posting buy a Lg C2 55" TV and get one Free. Without disclosing the price of the product, it's absolutely no chance of knowing the deal if it's worthy. If they charge $6,000 for the TV to get the one Free, it would have been a really bad deal.

          • +1

@Scrooge McDeal: It's clearly a straight up 2 for 1 deal. The price of donuts don't move around like TVs.
If you want the cheapest just go get your big pack from Woolies, I'm sure it's still cheaper.

  • So how much is it?

  • +1

can i pump in my own hot cream n jam

    • Like American Pie? I won't judge, but if you share them, they might want to know.

  • How much does it cost for 6 donuts?

  • +4

This or Coles/Woolworths 12 pack of donuts + air fryer?

    • +4

Not even comparable…DK wins hands down.. Especially straight out of their fryer and extra cinnamon sugar

      • -1

You can't eat 12 donuts straight out of the fryer.

        • +18

          Not with that attitude

    • +2

This is the way. 30 cents per donut. Keep in the freezer. Air fry from frozen @ 200 for 5 minutes. Smear with jam. Bit chewier than a fresh DK donut but crunchy and definitely better value.

      • +1

id even go a bit fancy and inject warm jam with a fat syringe

      • +2

Value is subjective. It's definitely cheaper, but not remotely as good. The two are so far apart that I can't think of an appropriate simile to express the difference.

Personally, I'd rather pay $12 for half a dozen from DK occasionally that I know I'm really going to enjoy than $3 from Colesworth for a dozen that will be vaguely okay and that I probably won't even eat all of before they go stale.

        • definitely lose taste every minute they exit the fryer. i can tell you from personal experience that they are the same as donut king, just that they sit in the box for at least a few hours before you purchase them

    • Does the donut king Cinnamon taste like krispy kreme Cinnamon donut? I couldnt taste diff between kk Cinnamon and woolworths Cinnamon

  • Seeing donut kings is like looking a a time machine in SA. The stores don't look like they updated anything since 20 years ago and may even look worse. Not to sure about other cities

    • Sound good. Constantly updating just because something looks “outdated” is a BS waste of resources.
Then again its not like junk food is a good use of resources.

    • they used to be competitive/cheaper with soft-serves, then levelled the price with maccas like wtf idk how are they still even open

    • a time machine in SA.

That is saying something because Adelaide always feels at least a decade behind the times

      • You're being generous, 30 years behind would be more accurate.

  • +2

$8 for 6 donuts in Rockhampton. Can also confirm the centre store in Rocky is not doing this promotion.

  • donut + black coffee…

I for one welcome our new donut overlords

    It's a $7 savings.
