Timezone Experts - What's Likely Better Value for a Small Group of Kids?

Have to take 4 or 5 kids (7 year olds) to timezone in the school holidays.

What's better value? Paying their $x for 60 mins unlimited play per person, or just loading up value on a single app account and chasing them around swiping/scanning it continually?

For an hour, at our local, looks to be $28/person(so $140 for 5 kids)

Would 5 young kids actually churn through $140 of credit in an hour or so? (even without promos, that's $100 for $150 credit).

And I assume you can swipe/scan the app credit multiple times on the same machine for multi player?

Appreciate any timezone experts valuable knowledge :)

Better off to get timed play..

Question is what if all 6 kids want to do different things at the same time.

For your own sanity just get the timed play.

    • The timezone here isn't that large that walking between games would take more than a few seconds anyway, and it's likely they'll be playing in groups anyway

Just no idea how much actual $ value game plays cost these days, especially when converted into effective $ with their credit promos.
No more 20c in the slot games :)

Look like you are already decided, enjoy 😉

        • Not really. Just saying one of the aspects for my sanity isn't applicable;)

Either option is cheaper than the initial 10 kid + party option the planning initially started at :)

IMO for that age, timed play is better because I don't think they let you play the purple? ones; the skill tester type ones which are basically kid pokie machines.

They also are guaranteed a small prize at the end I believe.

In addition to the other benefits you mention.

Most games are $2.20 or over, so only about 10 games each.

Yes you can tap multiple times for extra credit or each side (they have separate tapping terminals) for multiplayer depending on the machine, just like we used to be able to with coins back in the day…

Except for most stores those make up over 50% of the store 😛

They might enjoy spending time choosing what they want to use, rather than being told they can use anything, except the really good purple machines or whatever. Sometimes watching what other people are playing and deciding what to use your limited budget on can be fun, and free.

  • As a guide, most redemption games are now $2.50 normal price or $2.40 for vip. I normally burn through $100-150 (150+ credits) per hour on redemption games.

  • Jumping onto this thread - anyone know a way to get the 1hr timed cards cheaper? Eg buy a timezone gift card at a discount? I'm assuming you can't use money on a timezone pass as a way to pay for timed cards…,.
