  • Is this good for a VIOFO dash cam ?

    • +8

Yea this is built for dash cams actually

    • +1

It’s on the “not recommended” list on VIOFO websit, but I think they just want you to buy their own brand.

    • +3

Yes if it's a single dash cam. I had issues with it for dual dash cams like the A229 though. Others on dashcamtalk reported the same. Seems to have poor sustained write speeds, so the dashcam consistently stops working within 30-40 seconds. No such problem with the SanDisk Max endurance ones, although they're a lot more expensive than this

      • I recently bought the viofo A119v3 single dashcam so should i buy this card or go for something else?

      • Good to know. Thanks

      • But sandisk max endurance 256GB also offer 15 years warranty.

      • My single Viofo A129 plus had issues with this Sd card just not writing new footage to it, got dash cam replaced and will see if the SD card is the issue. I think its good to erase the SD card once a month to help it from corrupting

    • +2

I've had the 128GB version of this in my dual channel VIOFO dash cam for ~3 years and its still flawless. Thing would eat regular SD cards though.

      • Good to know

      • +1

You must have the old version black and white. The old version has no issues, but this new version (white and blue) has reported issues with dashcam

  • What is the difference between endurance and evo pro. Evo pro is already listed in au for $27

    • +2

Samsung PRO Endurance for monitoring devices is built to last up to 140K hours of recording (256GB model)! I guess Endurance is designed for repeated over-writing.

    • +3

Evo pro is faster, pro endurance has longer life.

  • For a moment I thought this is the repeat of the great promotion when buying multiple is cheaper than buying 1 (or sometimes free!)

  • I want this but my dashcam - 70 mai says max 128GB

    • You still can give a go.
I have used bigger micro SD cards than the max capacity showing on the user manual on multiple devices.
Many of them worked without issues.

      • Some of them worked at different way, my Navman dash cam would only record files size up to 64GB when I put a 128GB card in it.

        • It's true some of them may not work at all or work differently.
But still it's worth trying I guess.

    • it will work, it probably will only record up to 128gb

  • back in august i got 1 for $26, was hoping to get another one but already oos

  • +1

This is the one for BlackVue dash cams. Mine has worked flawlessly for the last 4 years. Just remember to reformat once a month!

  • Bugger, didn't check OzB this morning and missed it

  • Is the EVO Plus card ok for storage in a tablet? The 256GB is on sale for $27 atm
