Yeelight ones are pretty good… i am using 2 of these for last 1.5 years and i am very happy, battery also last atleast 3 - 4+ month

    • I've got 6 if these dotted about our house and they are great. I've got them in the walk-in wardrobe, toilets, bathrooms and the hall way. Just turn the lights off and walk where you're heading and they dimly light the way enough to see but not blind you or wake up kids. Definitely recommend having one in the toilet if you need to get up, beats going in the dark or turning the bright light on. Battery lasts well over a month in them too.

I picked up a cheap version from AliExpress and the one I got is really bright, too bright when lighting a dark room. The battery in that one also runs out pretty often.

I dont understand what you're referring to, you need to be more specific. Are you talking about the yeelights, the ones from Amazon? Also is the cheap aliexpress version too bright a bad thing?

    • I have one Yeelight plus a bunch of these Xiaomi ones: which are way better because they have two brightness settings and run on AA rechargeables with about a year between battery swaps. The use case for the Yeelight is where you need the hanging hook.

      • Are there multi pack Xiaomi ones for cheaper per unit?

Lowest I paid was two for $35 from Kogan in 2021. But the current model has Bluetooth so perhaps ok value at $24.95?

  • Usb-c or micro?

    • Micro, if its still like my year old ones

        Thanks.

I don't want to deal with micro any longer. Why don't all vendors finally switch over to C….

@King Steuart: Charge me a dollar more per light, don't care.

            • @liquid metal: Agree but please make exception for this and you will thank me later.. They included short charging cable anyway. And this last like 6 months.

              • @CyberMurning: I might will. Probably don't have a choice. But I might need someting brighter.

  • +2

    Cheers. Excellent dunny nightlights.

  • Got 5 thanks

    • No wonder they're out of stock

      • Yep because they only had 5 in stock.

  • How bright are these? Usable for outdoor stepz?

    • Doesn't look rated for outdoors.

    • +1

They are not weather proof. You could use them under an eave, but they would need to be protected from water/rain, and ideally from direct sun.
They are not bright. Bright enough that if used in a typical bathroom you could easily see everything you needed to, but not bright.

  • Any good for garage? Will the motion detection recognize a car pulling in?

    • +1

It would likely trigger the motion sensor, but the light isn't really that bright. If you were using it to find your keys, or not walk in to something, then yes, it's fine, but if you want a bright light, this is not it.

  • @youknow mentioned minimum order free shipping change?

    • Yeah, sorry, I deleted it. TL;DR: Seems to be $50 for free shipping.
The banner said $100 minimum for free shipping.
I initially got free shipping offered for $54 order, but then after playing with Qty, no matter what I did, I couldn't get free shipping.
I tried another browser, added 4 to card, and got the free shipping. Not sure what happened with my other/first attempt.

If anyone need to know i have numerous type brand of this kind of light and this is the best. Anything cheaper you see on ali or amazon, the pictures looks amazong there but shocking/bad build quality when you receive the actual item (compare with this)

  • Do these have USB-C yet?

Used xiaomi or mi night lights, have to replace 3xAAA batteries every 6 months but easily the best sensor lights in kitchen or bathroom

  • @ozdfo hi rep. I understand these are first gen light, released many many years ago. May i know if the batch that you are selling now are old stock or they are producing this again? Can you ask your supplier ? Just curious thats all

    Got this email:

Hi, you ordered the Yeelight Sensor Nighlight yesterday on our website (https://yeelight.net.au/).

We are very sorry. Due to our mistake, we got the wrong product inventory and it is now out of stock. However, we have ordered the product from the factory and it will be delivered in about a month. Are you willing to wait a month?

Looking forward to your reply and wish you a happy weekend.

    Yeelight

Can OP comment on this given the OP states:
"We have these quantities available in Sydney Warehouse and Same working day shipping with online tracking from our Sydney warehouse if ordered before 1 pm AEST."

    • Got the same email. I wonder if this is intentional trick, to get as much as order and hope some will agree to wait a month. I remember few people complaining about long delivery from this store.

    • Yep, got that email as well.

    • Same here.

I wonder anybody got shipped email?

      • probably none see my post above

        • Mine has been shipped!

      • i got one today

      • I didn't reply to the original email, but then got 2 shipping update emails this arvo. And it's showing in Aus Post tracking. So… I guess I'm going to get something.

        • My guess is, if you said you were happy to wait, you were put to the bottom of the list. If you said you were not happy to wait, or didn't reply, you probably got whatever stock they had available.

  • Just received them ! Thanks OP

    • I'm actually disappointed by how dim these are. I really expected it to be brighter. I understand how it would last 6 months now..

  • pretty dim

  • as of today:
Hi, the goods are on their way by sea and may be delivered by the end of this month.

so its not one month but more like 2 months

    • @ChiMot Thank you for posting an update.

It is not great that the seller did not have sufficient stock and then did not provide an update on the delayed supply.

People are reporting that it is very dim. I should have cancelled earlier. Well, law of averages wins, I am not going to win always.

  • +2

    Anyone still waiting?

  • Mine shipped today. Completely forgot about it

  • arrived today. WTFFF i think they came from Dubai
