I think you can always sign up to eBay Plus for $4.99/month (if no other option available), you'd still be ahead by getting the extra 2% off = $25

DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone W/ RC 2 Controller

    • I look forward to having an inbuilt screen in the controller once my Mavic Pro dies

Link for RC 2 Controller version: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145324941212

    • Good price oh wait I was comparing with the fly more combo.

Just an okay price. Less than 10% off RRP

    • Does the original link include Controller?

      • Yes, scroll down to 'In the box'

        First two lines:
        DJI Mini 4 Pro
        DJI RC-N2

It is the controller without the screen.

Use the 'RC 2' controller link for built-in screen.

    • +1

Yes, RC2 is great. Extra buttons underneath, better antennas too. Also very fast to boot and much more responsive than RC1 was.

The RC-N2 Controller does not have a built-in screen.

  • -1

Os the RC2 controller worth it? Heard it's not that much better than using your phone

    • +2

Nah, get the RC with built in screen. Heaps better and very convenient compared to using your phone.

      • +1

I agree with @ThePeterGriffin - saves mucking around with cables - one less thing to go wrong. Screen is nice and bright, no phone calls or notifications interrupting flight.

    • +3

another vote for getting the one with the screen. Used both on wedding and I can't stress how having a screen made such a big difference in flying experience. No cable, no random disconnect issue, …

      • I have the one that connects to my phone and I cant say I have ever had a problem with disconnecting. Connecting the cable is a minor inconvenience, maybe if I was using it professionally it would be worth eliminating that step but as someone who uses it rarely I don't think I could justify the price difference.

        • If you're barely using it, hard to justify buying it in the first place. I'm that sucker 🤣

          • +1

@mrau: Why bother working if you aren't gonna buy expensive toys that you barely use?

    • +1

Depends if you have a good phone already.

RC2 is only 700 nits which is low for the Australian outdoors - you'll want a hood in bright light. Phones can be much higher. Plus larger screens on phones, higher resolution (although I would doubt preview video resolution take advantage of it due to drone battery life and bandwidth)

No sideloading of drone apps on the RC2, but you can on your phone. This will be more important when the SDK is released next year but already I've been taking advantage of this.

RC-N2 a no-brainer for me - would have even bought the RC-N2 if they were the same price.

Never had a disconnect. Only minor annoyance I find is the phone claws are right where my phone buttons are, so have to offset the phone more to the side. Would be nice to have a second wifi hotspot or bluetooth between controller and phone, even at lower bandwidth.

Standard RRP for this is 1699. How can they price jack this by 200$ and then offer a 20% discount is beyond me.

    • Im pretty sure that its actually illegal for them to do this.

  • 'Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.' for the RC2 version, any idea?

BEWARE The link is to the drone without controller - no controller mentioned anywhere on the page or photos

    • -1

Click "In the Box" inside the listing.

      • The negger is too blind to see "In the Box" tab inside the listing :-p

    • The Mini 4 Pro isn't officially sold without a controller. But agree, it's a poor ad showing 7 pictures of the drone without the controller.

  • Don't forget an additional 6% off through GCX
