I cant understand why health, household and personal care are seperate categories. But few items are mixing up fields. How trimmers belong to health and household. Also showing under personal care. Cashrewards seperating them.

    • Trimmer I am after falls in 'Beauty' :(

This might seem like a stupid question, but how do you know what category a product falls into?

    • +6

I asked the same above, its confusing. Because amazon showing personal care and health and household together. But cashreward, seperately showing these categories, and only 0.7% on health and household items.

Use a PC browser or go to desktop mode on your phone browser. It says on the left nearish the top (not in the general crap part of the page, but in the part that's dedicated to that product)

Camel camel camel 🐫, paste the link and scroll down to see category of the item.

How do I know what Amazon category my purchase falls under?
Amazon categories can be tricky to navigate. We find it is easiest to determine the category of a purchase using a desktop device as categories tend to be different on mobile.

Ensure that the search bar has the category search set to All, search for a product and click on the listing. Refer to the category listed in bold in the top left hand corner of your screen. This is the category that Amazon Australia will assign to your purchase.

    @OP maybe add "capped @ $20"

    does this include vibrators?

    • +8

Only if you use it on yourself based on the category… No good for partner usage unfortunately

Aww the deleted comment. Anyways, camelx3 suggests a category and product group at the bottom of the page. Is this an approved method of finding the category of an item?

I can't seem to find this 'personal care appliances' subcategory.

I thought it would make it easier just to navigate through all the AmazonAU subcategories so I can just pick something specific out of the target 'personal care appliances' subcategory.

I've done a Google search and can only find such a subcategory at the Indian Amazon store.

I've also checked the US Amazon store and even that doesn't seem to have such a subcategory.

    • Click on it in a browser, and the bolded top left shows it as health, not personal care.

  • Looks like standard toothbushes are not considered to be 'personal care'. Only electric.
    That's wierd.

    • I've tried a bunch of randoms in the combined health home and peeps al care cat, and every one comes up in the bolded section at the top left as "health and home".

If something is listed in the "Health, Household & Personal Care" category, does it qualify? Personal care is 18% but health and household only 0.7%

  • Just buy , then complain later to them

    • +2

I wouldn't. Cashback sites definitely don't give you the benefit of the doubt.

  • Based on the logic of checking on desktop in the top left corner for the category, is this item not included in Personal Care?

    • same question…Health, Household & Personal Care›Medical Supplies & Equipment›Diagnostics & Health Monitors›Blood Pressure Monitors..???

  • +4

Using the method linked above, even the "Personal Care" items seem to be listed as "Health and Household" in the top left of a PC browser window…. so its impossible to tell.

Unless I haven't found a single eligible "Personal Care" item yet.

    • Exactly my experience. Would love to see a screenshot of any item that shows as personal care in the too left bolded don't that TA suggests we use.

  • Just got mine tracked for electric toothbrush and heads
