380

I normally grab the $12 per kg Woolies beans but this seems to be even cheaper! Will give it a try and see how it goes.

  • Shame they don’t also have coffee ground.

Spend the extra and get Aldi beans

    • Yep agree

    • +7

Exactly. The $14 Aldi beans will almost always be better quality than even the $50 brand-name bags from Colesworth unless you get exceedingly lucky because the latter just sits on the shelves for so long, whereas Aldi will be fresh(-ish).

      • dark? medium? which one?

        • +2

          Dark roast is the favourite

        • +4

depends what you like. if you drink milk coffees, dark probably. if you drink long blacks / espresso i'd go medium or even better the Colombia single origin if they have it in stock.

        • Dark are excellent. Just be sure to check the roasted date as they do vary. You can generally get a bag 2-3 weeks old (or if you're lucky even less).

        • Depends if you prefer the flavor of roast or beans. My preference is Medium but I think it costs more than Dark roast last I checked.

      • I've noticed they updated their prices and sizes? Seem to sell their higher end beans for $25/kg and now their dark roast etc are selling about $11 for 500g now? Anyone else notice this?

    • +1

Yep. At least they will be freshly roasted. My bags are always within 2-3 weeks of roast.

      get Aldi beans

I saw in another post a while back someone recommending Student beans.

    • Have tried Aldi Dark roasted and Columbia, not as good as the Coffee Roasters who post here. Beans are ok but taste is very flat and dull. Pay more and get better beans, only 20 cents more or so a cup. Just my preference.

  • Has been reduced to $22 for quite a few months now.

But this deal is for $10.

      • True that….what I was saying was the RRP is up a well known creek! Not normally 37, but normally 22. Now it hasn't gone from 22 to 10……it's gone from 22 to 37……RIP!

  • Are they any good? Better than standard Vittoria?

    • +1

These are my favourite. Usually buy from Coles on the rare occasion they are on sale.

  • +1

Medium dark… Not good for me I'm afraid. Great price though.

  • What do people use these beans for? Got them as a gift once for my espresso machine and there was no way of pulling a drinkable shot.

  • I like this one, bought it for $22 before.

I'll try and grab some tonight, but it'll probably be oos at that price

  • Out of stock for me

    • That's quick! OOS already! It's still in stock in SA but I assume it'll be OOS soon 👍

      • +1

I guess it depends on store. Luckily, I found some stock in another store and got 5. Normally these bean is 20+/kg even on discount. Thanks OP!

        • No worries. I haven't tried it myself so I'm looking forwards to it myself :)

        • Do you run a coffee shop? 5kg is a lot.

  • +2

One left at woolowrths bankstown. Its right at the back of the shelf and ive put a 1kg organic infront of it

  • It will scan at $22. You can use the scanning code of practice to get it for free as the ticket shows $10.

    • Hard work, sadly, when you get a young knowitall serving you that disagres.
      But I still persist

Had a rain check at Coles for a 1kg Toblerone. Went to claim it..Muppet wouldn't accept it unless I proved it was that price last week…WTF..I have a signed raincheck! He said to call Coles to verify I could use it… double WTF.. he stood there for 20mins why we waited for Coles to answer.
When they did, I obviously got the raincheck product, then informed them that I just picked up a click n collect order and I need all the cold items refunded or replaced..and there is a staff member who just did nothing wasting his wages for 20 mins over a $10 Toblerone. I had time to educate the Muppet that day.

  • It’s $22 at Crows Nest, no shelf tag for $10 and online shows $37 now

  • +3

Scanned at $22 for me, so got one free and 2nd at $10! Couple left at Chirnside Park

    • That's the way to go! lol

      • +1

Scanning policy is my favourite game! 😂

    • Where are you even seeing $10? It’s $37 on the website for me. Otherwise I would have got one for free under the scanning policy.

      • +1

The lady mustn't have put the price tag back. It was where the coffee was and just the usual black label, not a sale label. She took it to front counter to check because she didn't believe it was the right coffee.

  • The beans linked to show $37. The other deals I can see are eg. "Vittoria Organic Coffee Beans Organic 1kg" for $22. Am I missing something?

  • +1

    Price has reverted to $37

    • 37 on web and shelf, but scans as $22 in store.

      • Did you get any free? Great price for those who did!!

  • +3

found 4 bags in my local shop, they didn’t change the price tag, so still get them for $10.

  • +2

$0 if you dont drink coffee.
