    • Small onions are like 100-120g so you could get 2 at a time or go for a medium-large.

Good on ya Tony (Tony Galati, Owner and Founder of Spud Shed).
While Colesworth are inflating prices and run by greedy CEO's, Tony is doing the opposite, doing his best to offer affordable prices to the community while supporting local farmers.

I learned about him through the SpudShed Tiktok page, he seems like a top bloke :)

Yes he is awesome. Wa has rules about potatoes. There is a potato mafia . Going back decades, tony got lots of fines for selling undersized spuds rather than dump them. He ended up giving away hundreds if spuds out at midland military markets rather than dump them. And still the potato mafia pursued him.

He has done a lot for the WA community.

Cool story but the WA potato law was repealed in 2016.

To be fair, spudshed fresh items are often not fresh. Only last a couple of days before mold grows. Most items in the store are over priced.

      • You mean they are fresh and ripe. Not frozen / under-ripe like Colesworth.

I get what you mean though. I find most fruit and veg only lasts a few days when ripe.

        • Agree. Great price but not often get the 3 deals on lettuce, cauliflowers and so on. They go off quick and the "savings" would be same as getting one from Woolworths/Cole's as having to throw them. Sure, could cut and freeze.

      Based eyebrows man.

  • All Spud Sheds?

Yep I saw this in the newspaper ad. The blueberries are also cheap

  • Does Phillipines still have an onion shortage?

      • Madman didn't even peel it. That's true love right there

  • Pity there isn’t anything like this in Sydney. :( So much better for the community

    • +2

There's still a lot of local fruit shops with cheaper or at least similar pricing to Coles and Woolies that need your business.

      • Of course :) and I always do

      • I spend less than 10% at colesworth. Granted, most of my spending is at Costco, except fruit and vegetables

$2 ice cream. Just what WA needs , more fatties.

    • We're Hunger-games preppers.

Bleeding out while waiting in line at the ER with fat pricks and junkies in front of you, it's disgraceful.

  • How out of date is the icecream?

    • Id be more concerned about how far in a date it was.

    • Does ice cream go out of date?

      • Only if it gets freezer burn

    • +1

The one I got was 26/3/24

The old lure them in with cheap onions and get them with expensive meats and stone fruits trick.

    • I find the meat pretty cheap (rump $16/kg), and pretty good quality
