  • Does this support external 4k screen at 60hz?

    • +1

Yes, it can support external 4K screen at 60hz.

      • Any deep or visible screen scratches on this batch?

    • I have a similar age X1C that also has HDMI 1.4b output. The HDMI output was only 4k at 30hz. Using a more recent (Lenovo) docking station, hdmi and displayport could only do 4k at 30hz. I eventually got a used mechanical docking station that did 4k at 60hz.

Tl;dr - could go either way.

  • This brand and model any good?

    • +1

yes, but if its right for you depends on your own personal needs…..

    • +4

Yes, I have a T490s and T480s, both are really good machines, was from different seller but basically new condition, corporate stuff that never gets used.

Nice peace of mind too it gets damaged or stolen not that big of a loss, but besides gaming still does most things pretty fast, nice little side laptop just to have around or do productivity stuff. Way better than Chromebook or limited tablet IMO.

      • yeah, I'm currently using my T470 as my main web machine, but not for gaming…. the t470 was also one of the last compatible with the non-thunderbolt docks…..

      • I won’t disagree on functionality - except tablets etc will be better if your looking for better battery life.

    • Lenovo emerged from IBM and has continued the tradition of creating good quality IT products, have had problems with the "Yoga" range about 6 yrs ago … which seemed to be common, but the PC/Laptop stuff generally is robust and value.

  • Cool. Will consider it as high school kid smashed his one. Had a really bad experience with another seller on eBay who had deep scratches on the screen and had to return both. One was B grade and the other refurb. The refurb cost $100 more too !

  • Do you guys reapply thermal paste given the age? Am guessing not given it is used and not refurb

    • Should be fine. Would have been manufactured in 2019. But I might be wrong.

  • +1

    Are they configured as 1 x 16GB RAM or 2 x 8GB?

    Would prefer 1 x 16GB.

  • +2

It's a shame the they dropped the ethernet port from the T490s

  • I ordered one last week and it arrived today.
It's in a very good condition (mint).

    • Does yours have the SIM tray? Mine appears to be missing it.

      • Ah, they're sending one out now. At least that was fairly easy.

  • Can this laptop handle basic Sibelius operations, such as working on a single sheet of music in standard A4 size?

  • What’s the condition of these devices?
