Yep, not for sparkies, cheap meters can lead to injuries, i've seen the results it's very nasty. Sparkies need to be aware of the danger and shouldn't be using a cheap meter like this at all.

meh, no transistor checker. there are ones about the same price or a little more that do that.
Does anyone ever use the transistor tester? I remember using it once when I was learning electronics, but these days (when transistors are either surface mount or too large to fit in the multimeter socket anyway) it's easier to just use the diode test function.
The thing that matters most to me is the continuity test. If it's got a proper latching continuity test function, that'll be great - none of the really cheap eBay ones do.
Yes, we use Transistor Checker in hobby gear repairs & part selection before soldering up a project.
There are similar multimeters available from AzTronics, JayCar, etc. on a walk-in basic.

Do any multimeters power themselves using AA or AAA batteries? The ones I've seen are 9V, which is a bit annoying.
Some use a small (expensive) 12Volt battery.
My ancient analogue meters used a C & 9V for resistance measurement.
As our good quality alkaline smoke detector batteries are replaced every year, always have too many 9V batteries with another year of life. Of course you would not want them to leak.
Yes i have a cheap ebay clamp meter that takes 2xAAA so they do exist.
Big advantage of 9V batteries where required is leak resistance. Noz, peel off the metal casing of one with a pair of needle-nose pliers and you'll see why it is so.

but no HOLD, backlit, continuity buzzer, built-in stand - very handy features which make this deal's meter easier to use & great value
