Not really, since you can get as many bottles as you want for $1.

      E.g.

      2 x pump - frosted glass
      2 x pump - charcoal glass
      2 x spray - clear glass

= $15.95 which equates less than $3 per glass bottle.

There is also DEODORANT - FROSTED GLASS and DEODORANT - CHARCOAL GLASS as well if you are looking for those.

FYI pump/spray glass bottles are 400ml, deodorant glass bottles are 50ml.

Or get the aluminium bottle from Coles for $8.97. https://www.coles.com.au/product/thankyou-forever-bottle-alu…

    • makes a lot more sense than postage!

    • Are there any health concerns re: Aluminium?

      • +1

Some old timers believed aluminium could cause alzheimer's disease but extensive high quality scientific studies were never about to show any link, effectively busting that myth.

Here is an old Dr Karl (2004) article about the history of the myth: https://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2004/07/29/1163941.h…

        • I was more referring to "Aluminium food and drink containers have a thin polymer coating or internal coating layer to reduce metal-to-product contact and corrosion. Thin-layer corrosion protection includes vinylic or phenolic lacquers and epoxy resins" (source NIH).

I was assuming this is the same as cans used for soft drink, etc. However, I guess I was curious about long term use, where the bottle is washed and reused. i.e. does this layer break down.

Apologies for the segway, but this post got me thinking about Aluminium drinking bottles. I currently use double walled SS bottles, which are great and keep my sparkling water cool for quite some time.

      • +1

You would assume aluminium would be a much safer bet than plastic!

        • I use stainless steel and ceramic bottles.

  • Got some, thanks OP!

    • Those are aluminium bottles, the one in this deal is glass

      • +7

The pump head is probably the same though?

        • +1

          Speculation?

The issue could be the aluminium bottle top isn't strong enough to support the head pump, or issue with connector specific to design and has been upgraded in the glass model. The description specifically says they use recycled aluminium too which can play a part too.

          Ingredients
          Made from 100% recycled aluminium

          • +1

@CodeXD: Probably greenwash or the copywriter not knowing the product. It's very rare to see any pump mechanisms made of anything other than plastic.

They list this on the glass bottle website:
            "recyclable natural HDPE"

which is technically correct since the refill bottles aren't tinted, but damn does that sound misleading.

          • @CodeXD:

Approximately 75% of aluminium ever produced is still in use today as it can be recycled endlessly without compromising any of its unique properties or quality.

Aluminium is one of the few materials where it's more cost- and energy-efficient to recycle.

These bottles look great. However - I've tried refilling the plastic bottles before and I find refilling to be a royal pain as the thickness of the liquid makes it take forever to pour.

    • +19

Isn't that why they're called forever bottles?

    • I use a funnel and don’t have a issue, just manually refill the last section without funnel to prevent overflow

  • +1

Ha, I've been refilling two of their black plastic ones with home brand stuff for five years now.

  • +2

Are there any with a foaming head?
I had a look but could not find. If anyone can recommend a good glass bottle with foaming head that would be great 😊

I want to buy them, but I have quite a few plastic pump packs that I just keep reusing. Would be better if I kept using those, than get these additional glass ones

    • +1

Absolutely better to use what you have already

  • +1

Most of variants are out of stock

  • lol I keep on getting "Cannot find variant" - must be getting OzBargained hard.

  • Added to cart but can’t checkout as it’s showing out of stock

  • $1 doesn’t work 🤣

  • I think all the pump bottles are sold out- managed to get some of the spray bottles.

  • Try $2 for the pump bottles, it worked for me.

  • Managed to check out in the end. Just needed a few tries.

  • Able to checkout for $2, if it says out of stock or cannot find variant just refresh and try again.

  • The website is dying. I wanted 1x black pump, 3x white pump and 1x spray, but it kept saying some of them were out of stock (different ones each time) and removing them from the cart. I ended up going with 4x white pump just so I could try and get through checkout quickly before it decided none were available.

    ozbargained by you guys

  • What a pain in the ass trying to buy those. There’s like -27 left of everything. Good luck with that.

  • Got mine!

  • goneeeeeeeeeee

  • Got 2 of the Clear Pumps. Paid $3 each and it worked.

  • Ozbargained very quickly it seems.

    • 2 hours isn't that quick tho.

      • Quickly from the time I checked the deal. All times on the site should be relative to me.

        • aw looks like someone has the case of mephobia 😏

          • @CodeXD: Deals should say '10 mins since Deals For Days saw this' and 'DO NOT BUY deals for days hasn't had a chance yet!'

  • did someone order 79 bottles for $1 each to get free shipping

max 10x, it was in my cart and almost completed the checkout and BAM, out of stock.

Buy forever bottle, refill it from single use plastic bottles forever.

    • LOLL

      • yes refill bottles are reusable :)

        • Irony is not like silvery or goldy. xD

    • Ain't that the truth, some places have walk up refill stations but they're rare and I'd assume half of those also fill their tanks up with non eco friendly transport packaging.

  • +3

lol it's like selling used Nescafe blend 43 glass jars

    • Yeah but Nescafe's jars aren't aesthetically modern and minimalist like Thankyou's is. Their logo is a tad outdated too, just compare it to Nespresso's.

  • Mine broke from the 2nd day! Bought on Coles

  • Oh woah, sold out already. Thanks mod @RichardL for fixing up my post!

  • -1

    Cant add anything to cart.

    • -1

read the description only deodorant bottles available

      • i added the deos as well.

  • $8.97 at Coles

  • Received dispatch notification from AusPost!

  • delivered today with 30-day money back guarantee and 3x $20 off $50 codes :)

    • I didn't see any of that in my package. I'm not a fan of the soap nozzle not being able to be rotated (other than to lock it), but for a few dollars, I can deal with it.

    • Delivered today too :)
