Multi-City Booking Including Domestic Flights- Japan ANA

Hi all! Needing some assistance regarding ANA multi-city flight luggage concerns.

I wanna travel Syd-Tokyo-Sapporo-Sydney and was about to book before realizing their domestic flights may not allow all my luggages to be checked in from Tokyo-Sapporo.

I’m staying a few nights in Tokyo then traveling to Sapporo. Return flight should not be a problem as it’s a connecting flight but Tokyo-Sapporo is a stand alone flight on the itinerary if you get what I mean.

Has anyone had similar cases? How do they treat the luggage allowance? I’m waiting to hear back from ANA but wanted to see if anyone else had booked similarly before.

    Luggage forwarding is also very common. Your hotel will be able to arrange it for a very reasonable fee.

    I flew Sydney-Tokyo-Sapporo last week with ANA and the luggage rules of my Sydney-Tokyo flight applied to the connecting Sapporo flight.

    On the topic of domestic ANA flights you'll find the rules to be quite relaxed as they allow plenty of checked baggage as long as it meets the weight and size requirements.
