    • Online only. Works for me with in store collection in Brisbane.

    • +1

Not out of stock, if you bothered to read my post it’s online only. Depending on your location, pick up from local store is available too.

      • +1

Unavailable online… My post code is 3130.

        • Possibly QLD only then

    • same here. I see 'Available online' on the right hand side with my local store. But the main area says Unavailable Online. Can't seem to be able to place any order, not that i am after one.

  • +2

    QLD only, interesting.

  • Sorry!

We are unable to find the page you were looking for.

    • Try it now, for some reason the deal link was amended? Otherwise links in description work

  • +3

    Nothing in Sydney :(

    • +1

Check again! I just grabbed one

      • +1

Legend - just got a Midnight one

  • Hmmm this is actually tempting but for some reason, yeah, not working in WA.

  • Why all these Officework sales in Queensland?

  • Would it be possible to price match?

    • Probably! Just set your postcode to QLD and it should show in stock… But I’m not sure who else would be stocking this configuration?

  • It’s an insane price.

    • +1

It's the most desired laptop on university campuses. It would be the most popular if the M1 MBA 13" wasn't priced so well for many years.

  • For reference this was around rrp $2599 when first released.

    • +2

Not for this spec. It was $3099 with this config at launch.

      • +1

        Pretty good buy then

      • I think the buyer should be the judge of how much its worth, not Apple.

apparently M3 and M2 is only marginal improvement not even noticeable that's why the new ipad pro goes straight to M4 bypassing M3
all my work do not need to be Steven Spielberg visual standards so my Mac Air M2 at 8 gigs 256 will suffice

    • +2

Good for you? No one said you had to upgrade if you already have MBA lol. That doesn't change that it's still a bargain price.

      • -3

Unlike most ozbargainers whose work are Hollywood studio submissions. Then you need upwards of 32 gigs 2TB M3 pro and M4 ultra

        • +3

People have a habit of leaving lots of tabs open

    • +2

That isn’t why the leap over M3 to M4 in the iPads.
The significant enlargement of the neural engine in the SOC to swiftly process on board Ai in the next OS is why.

That said, replacement of a laptop every time there is a generation change in your sOC isn’t a good use of money in any case, and the M2 is no slouch.no reason to buy an M3 if you already have an M2, and an M2 with this config is still significantly higher performance than most consumer laptops you might find in Harvey Norman.

    • Nice run-on sentence. And thanks for letting us know you don't want this device, we were waiting with baited breath.

  • +2

Ordered one, 1TB makes this pretty good!

    • Is this SSD?

I got one with 512G SSD last year for $2466.2!

      • Yes.

      • No all Apple products start at HDD

  • +3

This seems like an incredible price. I’m surprised it’s not getting more attention here.

    • +3

Everyone spent all their money on EV investments.

    • +2

      Only available in one state.

Otherwise yes, this is an incredible bargain.

    • only for QLD, tried to price match or get a similar price here. No luck!

    • -1

Even though it’s an incredible price the electric bills petrol and rent all of which are incredibly cheap needs to be paid first.

  • How to buy in Sydney?

    • By using money, works in all locations

    • +1

According to others, it’s available in NSW now

  • I love Macbooks for their battery life but that’s about it

    • -3

I love it’s not always crashing freezing viral attacks and battery and lightness and slim oh absolutely difficult to heck into compared to em the other one

      • +1

I love it’s not always crashing freezing viral attacks

You must have been doing something wrong with your Windows laptop damn

        • pretty sure that’s a bot/AI account. So many nonsensical posts

  • M3 is better!

    • which is why the new ipad pro skipped it entirely to M4

  • No joy for lower north shore Sydney

    • lower north shore can and will pay full price.

  • Nothing for Melbourne as well.

My 12 years old MBA still working.

  • +1

Anyone know how many officeworks egift cards can be used in one transaction? The officeworks guy doesn't know the answer.

    • If you go instore they can put through an online order and the amount of gift cards they can put through is unlimited.

  • This is an incredible price! A couple of years ago I paid about $800 more for a 13 inch M1 with same RAM and SSD through the education store.

  • I think I am blessed to have snapped the M2 8/256 anyways until M4 comes out

  • +1

Got one up for pickup from OW Coffs Harbour

  • Damn, I kind of want one now,

Guys honest question, need your opinion,

I currently have a Macbook M1, 8GB Ram, (Yall know which one im talking about)

I use it for programming, i honestly just code in javascript, in a text editor, i could use the extra screen size for laying out 2 pages of code (side by side).

I can honestly say, its enough for me, im happy with it, the size is fine, which helps say putting a table when your out and about.
(Not looking like your brought your whole computer setup to say a coffee shop)

The 15 inch is slightly bigger, the design is a bit fugly, there are no side speakers like the m1,
there is heaps of space on the keyboard side to it, which makes it ugly a bit, im not sure if the 3d sound still works on this?

Other than the screen size being slightly larger, the "extra" 8GB of ram, I cant really see the need for it.

What are your thoughts? (The people who have upgraded from the M1)

It doesnt do it for me, the M1 does everything I need it to do and i can always substitute the size of screen stuff when i have to (With built in software on Mac).
I hardly go over the 8gb Ram, I mean we used to do fine 1-4gb Ram (Back in the day).

I dont feel its worth the "upgrade"

Was trying different stores to see if there was a closer officeworks than coffs harbour that had this and I realized this is now available all across Sydney. Picked one up for myself, thanks!

  • +3

Now available in NSW, but not VIC.

    • available in NSW, but not VIC

      Albury store is almost Vic

      :)

    • Looks to be available in VIC now

  • +4

Just snap one for the wife. Best value ever. I personal wont get this as ram only 16gb but man 1tb ssd is a hell of a deal.

Fyi, it was 3k at launch loke 8-9 months ago.

    Best deal of the year.

  • Oh Vic, when would be your turn?

    • +1

      Now available in VIC

      • thanks mate!

  • Thanks OP, picked up one from Castle Hill officeworks.

  • +1

    Now available in SA

    Just grabbed one.

  • +1

Thank you for posting, just ordered one in vic!

  • Available in WA now! ordered one

    • +1

      Same, thanks!

  • +1

Note that M2 only supports one external monitor.

I made my order not realising this is m2 not m3.

Looks like you can setup extra monitors with an external dock that support it. But you’ll be limited on scaling, frame rate and content protection (HDCP).

    https://www.macworld.com/article/675869/how-to-connect-two-o…
    https://youtu.be/7VFsQuTP6sE

M3 supports two monitors, but the lid on the macbook must be closed. Which introduces thermal performance limitations.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered one.

  • If this deal on Amazon is legit. it might be a better buy.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Apple-MacBook-10%E2%80%91Core-16%E…

    • Tempting but probably a second hand unit. Can't tell on the page.

      • Even If it is, it is still cheaper than most you can find in the used market. and the rating is not bad 4.7 out of 5. tempting too.

        • +1

It's sold by Taga Store which has no previous sales or feedback, looks like a scam

          • @freoleo: I do agree their pricing seems too good to be true. but If its a scam why would Amazon allow it? and how do we explain the 308 global ratings.

            • @OzHan: Those ratings are for the product itself, the store had 0 ratings (and now has a 1 star rating)

Amazon won't allow it when they figure it out

          • @freoleo: It now has 1 star review- sale cancelled stock not available

    • Wow great find. I am very tempted to buy this. Is this legit and brand new one? Can’t tell from the description.

      • If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

  • Thanks OP bought this but feeling a little bit of buyers remorse now with the JB hifi deal and the incoming M4…

    • +4

Don't feel remorse. This is a great deal for an excellent machine. Just look at the comparable price when you spec up the other machines to 16 GB and 1 TB SSD.

And M4? You can wait forever as there's always something better coming.
Suffice to say M2 (and M1 for that matter) are good enough for most people, and so much better than prev Intels.

    • +2

Why remorse? The barely-different M3 equivalent with only half the RAM and half the HDD space is still $250 more at JB….
