      If I'm looking at hitting high fps at 1440p, is there any reason in choosing the xt over the xtx?
      Thinking more for future proofing, as my current rig is very old (3770k/1080).

        Both will comfortably play high 1440P into 4K. The XTX sits just below the 4080 Super (in general terms), while the XT is more akin to a 4070 Ti/Super. If you have the extra $550 you get extra VRAM and performance but yeah, $1999 is pretty hot for the XT

      $200 machines can be plex servers these days @ 4k, don't overthink it.

          I bought a Dell Optiplex 7060 Micro: i5 8500 16GB RAM 512GB SSD. I avoided the "T" processor, although probably without a valid reason. It runs a million docker containers on it along with Plex, doesn't break a sweat. I have a separate "basic" NAS for storage. I'd rather keep storage and compute decoupled.

          It was from some deal here although I can't find it. I think it was ~$300 a year ago.

          all you need is roughly an 8th gen intel or better than can do all the transcoding on the CPU. It doesn't require a gaming PC. I bought an old HP G5 with an intel 8500 in it and it runs a whole heap of stuff as well as plex.

      I bought a previous PC with the Leaper Edge Tank case. I would definitely recommend the MSI 320R over it.

      The build quality in the case is okay, I noticed one of the screws/screw holes had poor threading, so the screw is never really fully tightened. Also the side metal panel has quite a bit of flex. It dents inwards pretty easily when you simply pick up the PC or apply pressure with a single finger on it. Also it is important to note that fan hub that comes with it doesn't seem to be SATA or Molex powered. Fans used aren't the quietest either but they do have quite a few of RGB variations.

      Airflow seems to be fine though, and components are far from congested.

        Did you get air cooling or liquid for the CPU?

    The 7800x3d and 7900 xt combo is sick good pricing, but have to say that the included mobo and SSD are both pretty crap.

        Techfast always have the cheapest deals - you just have to be wary and acceptable of the components they use outside of their CPU and GPU.

        If you can manage to secure the MSI mobo and change/upgrade to MSI PSU for the 4070 super ti, I will pick that deal over this.
