You've been able to do that for years on Android and yet these still exist.

People on iPhone are obviously not tech savvy enough to work it out

@scottySK: totally agree - hence, mass appeal

          • -2

@scottySK: Got to love the delusional over inflated arrogance Android users often have. 🤡

iPhone users have been using emulators since it was released through means like Jailbreaking, web assembly, developer accounts and AltStore.

If anything the people who used emulators on iPhone were more tech savvy because until now it wasn’t simple to do. Compared to Android, where you opened Play Store and clicked install - wow a tech genius right there.

@PainToad: You make it seem like you were one of the primary devs for Jailbreaking. lol

Not sure why you care, but no, not the actual jailbreaks. But way back when I did have a package for Jailbroken phones that was semi popular for a brief moment.

I’ve also played with porting Android custom roms. I got MIUI booting on a Nook HD.

            • @PainToad: Haha this is obvious bait, I'll take it. It's like you are saying jailbreaking was difficult (it is now, sure). Installing AltStore by clicking a few buttons doesn't really make them tech savvy, it means they can follow a tutorial :)

Never said it was difficult. But there is more steps than installing emulators on Android.

I’m not the one who linked what phone people use to their tech savviness.

If anything, it’s what you do with the device rather than the actual device. But even then, some people may want a simple ‘just works’ phone but are so called “tech savvy” in other areas of their life.

                Haha this is obvious bait

The actual bait was from the person feeling the need to troll based on what type of phone others use.

I have a powkiddy RGB30 and Ayn Odin 2. I will choose them any day over my iphone for emulation. Far more you can do with them.

  • This or rg35xxh?

      • +2

I can emulate everything up to switch on my Samsung, and I have a sliding controller that takes my phone to give a way better form factor than an Xbox controller and a mount (too top heavy).

I still use my retro console for emulation though, because it's just better and easier.

      • This or the RG35xxH still

        • +3

Processor about the same so really comes down to form factor 3.5" 4:3 screen vs 5" 16:9 screen and what games you want to play e.g. PSP on a 3.5" 4:3 is small while fills the whole screen on a 5" 16:9. H is more compact so more pocketable so more portable.

Just bought, doesn't come pre loaded obviously so what's the best way to get the software and all the emulation put on it?

    • It will have emulators as they are legal. It may or may not have roms. And no, you can’t ask for them here.

      • Yeah figured as much just thought someone might know a bundle cluster download for the device but thanks anyway

  • Its pretty wild that i purchased at gamesir for roughly $100 this is a much better option if all you wanted was emulation.

RG556 much better for a few more dollars, I love main.

    • +1

RG556 is almost tripple, it's an extra $200.

    • Ermm, the RG556 is competing at the high end and is on a whole different level. It's more than a 'few more dollars'.
