Gaming PCs: 7500F, 4060, B650M Wi-Fi, 32GB 6400MHz, 1TB Gen4 SSD $1285 + Delivery from $32 ($0 MEL C&C) @ Evatech

MATX200

While you've been keeping us busy with our last deal, we've also been getting a lot of requests mATX builds, and sub $1500 builds… so we've done our best to come up with something we hope fits the bill.

There is some hot competition from the usual suspects out there at the moment and we've taken a close look to make sure what have to offer is worthy throwing it's hat in the ring. We wouldn't be posting it if we didn't think it was, but as always OZB will be the judge.

Without pointing fingers, there closest matching offer posted here most recently from that aforementioned competition is ~$98 if you ignore their more expensive shipping costs. It's a match on the CPU and GPU, offers the same capacity SSD and RAM and is also an mATX form factor.. so what do you get for your extra $98 if you go with us instead?

  • B650M Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard (vs A620M-AYW)
  • 6400MHz CL32 RAM (vs 5200MHz CL38)
  • 7400MB/s Gen4 NVMe SSD (vs 2400MBs Gen3)
  • EVGA 80+ Gold 500w with 5 year warranty (vs 'Aigo' 650W Bronze, 3 year warranty?)
  • Beefier 180w TDP 120mm Tower Cooler (vs 65w stock cooler)
  • 4x 120mm RGB Fans + Controller (vs 1x 120mm non RGB)
  • 3-5 day turn around time (vs advertised 7-10)

Not too bad for just $98 more? I'd like to think so as upgrading to match the same spec on just the RAM and SSD with the competing deal it stings you an extra $155. That jumps to $244 if you want the cheapest case with a bit of front ventilation, RGB fans and a the cheapest aftermarket air cooler. Then $394 if you fancy a B650 chipset motherboard (with WiFi) and all the way up to $454 if you want to add the cheapest 80+ Gold rated power supply with 5 year warranty… oh and our shipping is price is not only cheaper (for the vast majority of areas) but FEDEX guaranteed (very quick delivery) and fully insured as standard, we don't try and sting you for an extra $25-30 for additional 'insurance' at checkout.

Questions regarding Windows licenses & installation

  • Yes, our licenses are 100% genuine OEM or retail licenses purchased directly from Microsoft authorized distributors. Physical copies of these products are provided with the PC including the license key cards and installation flash drive (for retail licenses) or COA stickers (for OEM licenses). Any system builder that doesn't provide these could be charging you full price for a grey market key of significantly less value and questionable origin. Always demand the physical copies!
  • Yes, if you purchase Windows from us we will have it pre-installed, setup, updated and with all the required drivers pre-installed ready to go out of the box.
  • No we cannot pre-install Windows for anyone who doesn't purchase a genuine license. We'd love to offer this as a service for those who already have a genuine license but selling a PC pre-loaded with Windows without a license purchase is strictly forbidden by Microsoft.
  • Yes, if you have a genuine retail license you can provide to us and that we can validate as genuine, we can activate it for you and provide the PC with Windows pre-installed. Contact us after placing your order with your order number and license details to arrange. OEM or volume keys cannot be accepted as they are non transferable to new systems.

I think these are some great deals and I'm really close to pulling the trigger on the GRE build but a bit worried if there will be some exciting EOFY deals coming out very soon, specifically a 4070 ti super deal.

    • +3

I think this year especially, sales are in full swing and have been for a while. 'EOFY' is the label they slap on it when it the calendar ticks over to June.

    • +3

I believe they are talking about https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/846057

      • -6

Even more lame if they are truly targeting Nebula with their snide jabs, who probably aren't any bigger than these guys.

    • +12

How is any of what they've said a jab? They're comparing both the offerings and I didnt find any of it, them taking jabs.

    • +11

I can understand why you find it distasteful, personally I don’t have any issue. Their description makes it clear they’re tuned into the market and the community.
They’re competitors competing, and everything they wrote seems fair play.

    • +9

I think this is just a more explicit example of competition is good for the consumer.

I think what they've written also better informs consumer decision making, for me it saves me time in comparing between tabs what the two have on offer.

I'm all for it so long they don't attack other businesses and their practices. Price/spec comparisons are objective imo

    • +1

I welcome it. It drives competition and transparency = better deals for us.

  • +1

Just curious, why are most of these desktops without USB C on the case? Also have less USB 3.0 than USB 2.0.

    • +2

USBC cases/mobos cost a fair bit more and doesn't justify the cost for most people as it's still primarily used for device charging by the layman

      • +3

Yep, that's exactly right. Case manufacturers tend to reserve USB-C for the more expensive models and the port itself is relatively expensive compared to a regular type A port when it comes to the BOM of the case itself.

When limiting the search to just mATX cases there aren't many with type C that are also a 'bargain' but we've added a couple of Corsair 2500D Airflow options in black and white to the list. Premium price tag for a premium product but at least there's an option for the must-have-type-c customers out there.

        • +1

Or just buy usba to c adaptors, i got 4 for $20 on amazon…

  • -2

    Any mATX?

    • This PC is an mATX PC…and unlike many of the other system integrators, is in an mATX case!

    • +3

Nothing but mATX cases and motherboards :)

  • Any deals that involve rx7900xt?

    • The only 7900 XTs that we can find stock of at the moment are 3x fan versions which means the length is 320mm (or more) and not compatible with the default case offered.
The same goes for the Gaming X Slim White GPU options, but we figure anyone paying extra for the white GPU is probably also swapping to a white case which avoids that conflict.

Our previous deal (linked in the OP) offers the 7900 GRE in the default configuration, with options to swap the GPU too.

Sorry if neither option suits you - we'll be back with deals in future so maybe we can satisfy next time around!

  • Are you able to get expansion card for thunderbolt 4 pls? MSI

    • Sadly no stock at our suppliers at the moment. You are of course welcome to add in any such add-in PCIe cards once you've received the PC. Looks like it would go into the PCIe slot above the GPU, but depending on what solution you buy just make sure you have a plan in conjunction with the GPU etc.

  • +5

Really digging your builds at the moment. They seem really balanced. A lot more aligned with the parts I'd pick myself.
Any chance you'll be doing a BYO GPU deal any time soon?
I've already got a 4070 TI Super, so unfortunately wouldn't make sense to purchase either of these deals for me.
    Thanks!

    • Drop us a line via our website's contact form, we'll see if we can work out a deal on your desired spec minus a GPU.

  • I personally would like to see 650w PSUs as standard these days, they aren’t much more expensive than 500w units and are sometimes even the same price (when comparing consumer prices at least) and would give much better flexibility on component upgrades, but this is still a good deal nonetheless.

One question I do have is regarding the warranty; For example, Lexar lists the RAM as having limited lifetime warranty on their site, yet you only have 5 years warranty listed on the webpage. If the RAM fails 6 years in, would I be able to still replace it under warranty? Would I be contacting Eva or Lexar for the replacement?

    • +1

Appreciate the feedback on PSUs and of course we understand, however, that doesn't stop our warehouse from having pallets of 500w/550w PSUs, so we offer them wherever they can make sense for customers to save a few bucks if they don't see a future where they'd appreciate a larger capacity. Our guess would be that the 500/550w units are far less in demand than they used to be, so sale pricing has dropped to try and make them the obvious choice. They still work in low-end gaming PCs, or home/office PCs, so we're not desperate to clear them - but it makes it better value to include it by default.

Our general warranty info (where you likely found that we state 5 years for RAM) is just that; general warranty info or minimum terms (as "limited lifetime" is a little ambiguous & concerns some customers). Where a product has a longer warranty via the manufacturer's details, we adhere to the full manufacturer's warranty. So, whether the "limited lifetime" or our 5 year period is larger, you'd get the larger. As for how you go about claiming warranty, as an Australian consumer your right is to take it back to the point of purchase (Evatech) but you should also be able to go direct with Lexar if you want to cut out the middleman.

  • Any deals on anything a bit cheaper to edit 4k video, my current setup is 5 years old and far lower specs than this and still works but sometimes crash so i think the deals posted probably overkill for what i need.

    • +1

12400f deal is still in stock, didn’t check for 5500

Feel free to use our website's contact form to get in touch about something tailored to you - including what hardware is running your rig at the moment so we can exceed it as a minimum starting point - and your desired budget which will ultimately inform us on what hardware can be afforded. Doubtful it would be popular enough for an OzBargain deal, but we'll know more once we hear from you!

  • Any 4080s deals coming up?

    • +1

Generally speaking it seems as though our suppliers have cut back on 4080/4090 stock levels for quite a while now, perhaps because of the impending 50 series launch, or slow sales during the course of this year, or of course a combination of both and not wanting to be left holding onto a load of stock when the new gen comes out and the subsequent old-gen price drop… so, I wouldn't count on there being one, but if our suppliers offer us a sizeable amount at the right price we'd love to put together a well-rounded build to suit!

Otherwise, drop us a message via our website's contact form and we'll see if we can put together something as a one-off with other specs you're interested in.

      • @evatech thanks, what brand 4080s you have in stock?
There's a new deal from tech fast https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/846752. Can you do something similar with 7800x3d?

        • +1

See our previous deal - pricing on the 4080 Super has been massaged to make a similar spec more compelling than before. Zotac is what we have at the moment for 4080 Super.

FWIW: our SSD is faster; actually taking advantage of being a Gen4 drive, our RAM is faster too, 3x longer warranty, our shipping is cheaper (+ likely faster), and at the moment our build time is around 3-5 business days all of which means sooner that it's in your hands! Our price isn't quite as low as the deal you've pointed out, as one might expect in light of the differences highlighted. Any questions welcomed, either here or via our contact form.
          Happy shopping!

  • 1 week earlier and I would have bought this instead of its competitor. Lol

    • Hopefully the beast serves you well, appreciate the upvote love all the same!

  • If I upgrade the GPU to 4070 is the discount still applied/value still there?

    • The discount is still applicable to any modification made from the linked deal page. To a certain extent, the value/bang-for-buck proposition is lower with certain changes as a result of deviating from the planned bulk deal, but at least you get what you desire. Just don't forget to also upgrade the PSU!

      • Which PSU should it be upgraded to?
Will you be doing a 4070 deal soon? I've been holding out on all these deals. I like that you guys are quite competitive and transparent. Will buy on the 4070 deal

        • We recommend a 750w PSU when selecting anything above a 4060 Ti.

The 4070 Super being present as an option means to some extent we are discounting it, even if the deal isn't centered around it. Honestly speaking it's hard to know in advance what our upcoming deals will be on as we generally only look to lining up a new deal [based on feedback and common requests etc] once we feel the previous deal is on its last legs (the fact that this one is getting heaps of love & orders are rolling in within the first 24 hours means we might not get to looking at a new deal for another week or more).

If you feel that this deal with the modifications you have in mind are good value we'd recommend buying rather than holding out for a better deal (because there may never be one that suits you to a T!), but if you don't see value, or feel more compelled by a deal elsewhere: no hard feelings!

  • +1

I bought from Evatech in a previous deal and the machine is an absolute beast. Shipped extremely quickly and excellent contact throughout. Could not recommend them more highly.

    • Kudos for the feedback!

  • Following on from the above comment, I ordered the 7900GRE previous deal (Swapped to a 4070 Super) and the communication, build timeframes, shipping and build quality were absolutely fantastic. Would 100% recommend!!

  • This build has arrived. I am very happy with the overall packaging care, guides and thoughtfulness of the build (cable tidy).
    All works great!!
One thing I wasn't aware of, though, is the slow bios post of these AM5 motherboards! Nothing to do with Evatech though, but some motherboard manufacturers are better than others!
