Qantas & LATAM Discounted Return Flights to Argentina & Chile $1600-$1700 from Sydney & Melbourne @ momondo

110

With the price of flights to South America being well over $2000 lately, and more like $2500, these are pretty cheap!

Sydney to Santiago for $1623 (nonstop)
Sydney to Buenos Aires $1618 (two stops)
Melbourne to Buenos Aires $1692 (2-3 stops)
Melbourne to Santiago $1628 (1-2 stops)

Dates are May and June for BA; and late April all the way through November 2023 for Santiago. Flights are on full service Qantas and LATAM.

I have shown the most bargain price available through Momondo, but of course you can book direct through the airline for an extra $60 bucks or so.

      What civil unrest?
There were large protests in Chile before covid, but they've since had elections, and things are pretty 'chill' now (just returned from a month there over NYE).

  • Finally prices have gone down.

  • You think award flights via qantas would be available? I need to fly next year

At least for Santiago there are, you just need to get in early. When I booked a December flight back in April, only LATAM was operating flights, but codesharing with Qantas which is how I could get the flight. Since then I think Qantas has begun resuming regular flights, so you should have more options.

  • 30+ hours to get there and 50+ to get back :-( you lose almost 4 days in transit out of a 2 week holiday.

  • Why is it always so expensive to travel to BA? :-(
