Cheers, @HamBoi69. But, I am afraid the deal might be taken down because of Woolworths not liking early
catalogue deals to be posted 🤔

    • +1

Nope, it won’t be taken down because OP linked a picture to where the photo was taken in store from a Woolies store

If it was a link to an online PDF catalogue, that would be taken down instead

      • +2

        Ah, right. Thanks :)

  • +2

    No eBay =(

  • -1

Picked up some of these when they were 15% off at coles a couple of weeks back. Digital versions so don't need to worry about physical cards. Much easier.

  • +1

Waiting for the same offer on Apple gift cards

    • +1

You can pick these up and use it at JB Hi-Fi for Apple Gift Cards.

      • +1

        Confirmed, did it last week

But, don’t believe Apple Support when they say AppleCare+ can be paid for with gift cards - it can’t

        • +1

@linkindan You can’t do it online, but, I was able to pay for AppleCare+ with Apple gift card in the store.

          • @G7brg: That’s an 8 hour return drive for me

          • @G7brg: how long ago was this? someone on reddit said they weren’t apple to buy ac+ for their 15 pro with an apple gift card.

        • found out month to month subscriptions better for AppleCare+, because the warranty can go more than 2 years.
My iPhone 12 Pro Max still under AppleCare+ even though it's 2.5 years old, as long as you still paying for monthly AppleCare+ for $11.99 and confirmed by Apple Store in Garden City, WA.

          • @vin021079: In Australia you can extend it after the two year period ends, either for another 12/24 month plan or month to month

            Guaranteed under consumer law

            • +1

@linkindan: My 2 year period just ended, and i see the option to extend applecare+ monthly but i dont see the option for a 12/14 plan

          • @vin021079: Damn, 15PM AC+ is $20.50

      • so you can buy the ultimate home gift card and use that to buy the apple gift card at JB HI-FI?

        • +1

          Yes, as long as:

          • The staff member serving you at the checkout lets you do that. Some staff members will tell you you cannot use gift cards to purchase gift cards.

          • The JB Hi-Fi stores you go to actually have Apple gift cards in stock. There have been a lot of recent reports of numerous JB Hi-Fi stores having no stock of Apple gift cards.

          • @WookieMonster: Would you be able to get Apple variable cards from woolies and have it activated in JB HI-FI if they ran out of stock?

            • @clacks: Doubt it, and it is something I would not do.

Last time I checked, JB Hi-Fi does not sell the variable load denomination, so if you tried to activate one at JB Hi-Fi, you should get an error at the checkout saying the gift card is an unknown item.

Additionally, if I turned up to a JB Hi-Fi that has been sold out of Apple gift card for a few weeks and produced an Apple gift card, it may cause suspicion from a JB Hi-Fi staff member that you are up to something.

Additionally, Woolworths may not be thrilled about you taking (stealing?) an unactivated gift card from one of their stores and activating it elsewhere. I also do not know if the gift card company managing Apple gift cards tracks the serial numbers of Apple gift cards allocated to Woolworths vs Coles vs Kmart vs JB Hi-Fi etc and would actually care if you activated a gift card at a business different to the one the gift card was originally sent to.

  • Need eBay gift cards !

  • What's the highest amount for variable card?

    • $500 for Ultimate Home

      • Can u actually get the points for variable cards? Thought it was those fixed values only.

        • I would expect this deal to be applicable to the variable load denomination, because of the poster linked in OP’s description.

          • The poster specifically advertises the variable load denomination of the Ultimate Eats and Ultimate Home gift cards.

          • The fine print says this offer is valid for all gift card denominations of the listed gift cards.

What makes you think this deal is not applicable to the variable load denomination?

        • Yes you can. Did so during the last promo.

Just note the maximum of 2 variable cards per day.

  • so if i buy for $500 Ultimate GC, il get 10000 rewards points n that would $50 to use in WW/BigW. so, 10% profit. is that correct?

    • Maybe, people can forget to scan EDR and the purchase cannot be refunded, i.e. not like a grocery purchase to be processed again.

  • Are people going to have issues putting these on their Apple wallets like during the 15% off promo deal 2 weeks ago?

  • -1

I used one of these UG Home Cards a few weeks ago and Officeworks were unable to process it in store even though they are listed as available retailers.

When I later enquired I was advised "I can confirm that your Ultimate Gift Card works the same as a Visa debit card. It can be used in-store and online.

To redeem your Ultimate Gift Card please select the card option at checkout and use the details on your card to complete payment."

I subsequently used the card OK online at Officeworks, but only got 1x Flybuys points for OnePass instead of 5x for instore purchases.

    • Did you link your flybuys to Onepass and did you put in the same flybuys at checkout?

      • Yes, but its only 5x points for purchases instore. Online its only 1x.

        • +1

That’s annoying to know. Probably they want to drive more traffic to store and not online ?

  • Is it capped at 20k pts? Last time I bought $2k and only got 20k qf pts

    • For cards with a fixed value, limit of 5 cards per day per Rewards Member (can be done across multiple transactions). For variable card where you choose the amount to load limit of 2 cards per day per Rewards Member in a single transaction.

  • Can we stack this another booster ?

I got collect up 10x points on purchase of $150 or more. Couldn’t find anything in the t&c that gift cards were excluded for the 10x bonus offer.

    • Officially speaking, no.

If you look at the booster terms, it should say under When will I get my points?

There are a small number of purchases on which you won’t collect points. For details, see this FAQ.

In addition to the above terms and conditions, by participating in the Everyday Rewards program you agree to the Everyday Rewards Terms and Conditions.

If you go the Everyday Rewards Terms and Conditions and look at clause 7, it says:

      7. On what purchases will I not collect Everyday Rewards points at the Earn Businesses?

This paragraph 7 applies to a purchase except to the extent that we advertise differently in the terms and conditions of a specific promotion.

You will not collect Everyday Rewards points on any money you spend on smoking products, gift cards (including Woolworths WISH Gift Cards, e-gift cards and iTunes), MILKRUN, mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards, tickets, cash outs, delivery charges, donations, Carpet Care, lottery products, Pre-order Kiosks, BIG W Photos, BIG W eBay, lay-bys fees and purchases using a Country Age Pension Fuel Card, a charge account, or purchases on an ineligible AmpolCard account. Call Ampol Customer Service to check AmpolCard eligibility.

The booster terms does not specifically say you can earn 10x points when you spend $150 or more on gift cards, so therefore you should not expect that booster to work when purchasing gift cards. There could be a situation where that booster glitches out and accidentally gives you extra points for your purchase of a gift card, but I would not hold my breath.

      • +1

Thanks @WookieMonster . I’ll try out if there is system glitch

  • I need to make some $1100 purchase at TGG today, so wondering whats the difference with below deal?
    .
20x Everyday Rewards Points on TCN Him, Restaurant, Pub & Bar, Cinema and Netflix Gift Cards @ Woolworths
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/803088
    —-> which is valid today

    • This deal would be easier to redeem since its variable load up to $500 whilst the TCN deal is capped at 100$ a card (i think).

      • Thanks @Yer
Hopefully someone else or OP can confirm this please?

        • Some considerations (although this comment is probably a bit too late for you).

          • The denominations for TCN Him gift cards sold at Woolworths should be $50 and $100. In other words, you would need to purchase at least 11 TCN Him gift cards to cover your $1100 purchase.

          • The denominations for Ultimate Home gift cards sold at Woolworths should be $50-$500 variable load, $50 and $100. In other words, you would only need purchase 3x Ultimate Home gift cards (2x $500 gift cards, 1x $100 gift card) to cover your $1100 purchase.

          • You should be aware of purchase limits for gift cards through these bonus points deals at Woolworths. For the TCN Him gift card, you can only earn points on a maximum of ten gift cards each day. For the Ultimate Home gift card, you can only earn points on a maximum of five fixed denomination gift cards (i.e. $50, $100) each day, and you can only earn points on a maximum of two variable load denomination gift cards each calendar day (and a daily transaction limit of one also applies).

          • If you purchase TCN Him gift cards or Ultimate Home gift cards from Woolworths, you will only be able to redeem $1100 worth at a physical TGG store. You can currently exchange TCN Him gift cards for TGG gift cards through the TCN website, but then you will quickly run into the TGG gift card redemption limit on the TGG website (i.e. 2 per online transaction). You can also directly redeem an Ultimate Home gift card on the TGG website, but you can only redeem 1x Ultimate gift card per online transaction. As an aside, you can redeem a maximum of 2 TGG gift cards in conjunction with the 1x Ultimate gift card per online transaction, except I believe there is no way to convert your Ultimate gift card into a TGG gift card without going to a physical TGG store.

          • There should be no limit to the number of TCN or Ultimate gift cards you can redeem in one transaction instore at TGG. Someone once redeemed 54 TCN and Ultimate gift cards in one instore transaction. I will note that you may run into a staff member who will arbitrarily enforce a redemption limit (e.g. 5 cards per transaction), but that is unusual.

          • To redeem a physical TCN Him gift card instore at TGG, you must physically swipe the gift card through the EFTPOS terminal, select Savings and enter the PIN.

          • To redeem a physical Ultimate Home gift card instore at TGG, you can either physically swipe the gift card through the EFTPOS terminal (and then select Credit and enter the PIN), or you can add it to a supported mobile wallet first and then redeem it from there instore at TGG like any other Visa card stored on your mobile wallet. To be honest, I see very little point adding it to a mobile wallet for the kind of transaction you presumably want to do instore, because it would add unnecessary complexity.

  • Can we exchange the variable $500 on the website to get me $500 in JB gift cards?

    • you can use ultimate GC directly in JB store, no need to exchange

  • Can someone please tell me what's the best way to buy an item of $2.2k from JB with the TCN Home and get the QF Points? Do I buy 4x$500 and then 1x$200 from woolworths and then convert them into a JB Hi Fi online card?

    • what's the best way to buy an item of $2.2k from JB with the TCN Home and get the QF Points?

TCN Home gift cards are not part of this deal. I presume you meant to say Ultimate Home gift cards?

Do I buy 4x$500 and then 1x$200 from woolworths

      Yes.

Keep in mind that there are limits to the number of points you can earn through this deal each day. The online catalogue has the full details of these limits.

then convert them into a JB Hi Fi online card?

If you look at the Ultimate Home gift card webpage and check each of the filters for redemption options, JB Hi-Fi is listed under Instore, Online and Exchange for eGift. In other words:

      • You can directly redeem one or multiple Ultimate Home gift cards instore at JB Hi-Fi. No exchange is required, although you can convert your Ultimate Home gift cards into JB Hi-Fi gift cards beforehand if you really want to.

      • You can directly redeem one Ultimate Home gift card online at JB Hi-Fi. If you want to redeem more than one Ultimate Home gift card in the same transaction through the JB Hi-Fi website, you will need convert your Ultimate Home gift cards into JB Hi-Fi gift cards first.

      • You can go to the Ultimate gift card exchange portal and exchange your Ultimate Home gift card for a digital JB Hi-Fi gift card.

  • +1

Anyone seen this in-store? Can't find it in store or on the online catalog

    • +1

I spotted posters for this deal instore a few minutes ago.

I can also see it at the bottom of page 28 of the NSW catalogue on the Woolworths website. Which online catalogue are you looking at?

      • +1

Thanks, I saw said "see page 10" for more but it was about something else. I can see it on page 28, thanks :)

        • Yes, absolutely it's working.

However, please do check the merchants on the physical card where it is accepted. For example, IKEA is listed above, but not in the real card.

          • +1

@Sam33sam: I read here that not all stores available will be listed on the physical card due to lack of space

          • +3

            @Sam33sam: Why?

I would rely on the list of participating retailers on the Ultimate gift card website (not the front of the gift card packaging), because clause 1 of the Ultimate gift card terms and conditions says:

            1. The Card can only be used for purchases of goods and services, at participating merchants in Australia (which excludes cash and cash equivalent transactions at ATMs over the counter at Financial Institutions and merchants and merchant groups who elect not to accept prepaid gift cards). You acknowledge and agree that participating merchants may change for time to time for reasons beyond our control or where required by law. For a full and updated list of participating merchants please visit our website www.ultimategiftcards.com.au.

IKEA was only added to the Ultimate gift card scheme in late July 2023. My bet is that the Ultimate gift cards you saw were produced a number of months (if not more) before IKEA was added to the Ultimate gift card scheme. I have only seen the IKEA logo on the recently re-designed packages for Ultimate gift cards.

Additionally, a number of people redeemed Ultimate eGift Cards purchased through another deal at IKEA without any issues, even though the giftcards.com.au website did not have the IKEA logo on their promotional images for Ultimate gift cards. This person also recently used 12x $500 Ultimate gift cards instore at IKEA.

            • @WookieMonster: @WookieMonster Perfect, my bad, I didn't think that way…

            • @WookieMonster: WoW, all of the Ultimate Gift cards having a new look, I still haven't see them physically yet.

              • +1

@shinjiman: I spotted some at a Coles a few hours ago, so I think it is only a matter of time before they appear at a store near you.

                • @WookieMonster: I just tried to use my last card today because there was no apple giftcard in JB last time, and found that my card has been used in somewhere else last week. That's weird because the card with me the whole time, and it is physical not digital. Looks like they are not secure at all.

                  • @daoddv: I would suggest contacting Blackhawk Network and lodging a transaction dispute.

There have been a handful of reports on OzBargain in the last couple of weeks regarding people’s Ultimate gift cards being fraudulently used, which is very concerning.

                    • @WookieMonster: Thanks you. I am doing it now, at least for me it is the last one, not much value in it though.

                      • @daoddv: Sorry to hear. Hopefully you will be refunded soon. May I ask how much was used and where did the hacker spend it?

Will need to check my physical Ultimate card now bought a few months ago. Thought it would be safe from hackers

                        • @trixieb: $100 card and it's all gone in one transaction

                    • @WookieMonster: There were reports of the digital Ultimate gift cards being hacked.

I didn't know the physical Ultimate ones are also at risk. Do you have the links to the reports? Thanks

                      • +1

@trixieb: Ahhh it looks like a digital Ultimate gift card?

To be fair, if the attacks on Ultimate gift cards are on a Blackhawk Network system storing gift card details or the guess-and-check method, both digital and physical Ultimate gift cards are under threat.

                    • @WookieMonster: P.S. Just checking if the JB Hi-fi physical cards are still safe from hackers

                    • @WookieMonster: Just got their response that they will not credit or refund any amount because it is treated as cash. Can’t believe this can happen…

                      • @daoddv: Honestly, that is an unacceptable response from BHN.

If you have not taken up the offer of help from the BHN employee yet, I would strongly recommend you do so.

                  • @daoddv: Hi there, can you please message me about this. I work for Blackhawk and would like to investigate this for you. Thank you!

  • IKEA is not available in the Ultimate Home.

However, got my 10% EDR points instantly

  • My Local woolies didnt have the banner up in store but I checked their current catalouge at front of store before purchasing. Rewards points went straight through. Had trouble using online order at JB with Hi fi using the card as a "credit card" wouldn't accept it, but was doing click and collect anyway so just went down with the physical card.

  • +2

    Thanks OP.

Sharing - I got caught by the T&C.

For variable card where you choose the amount to load limit of 2 cards per day per Rewards Member in a single transaction

Bought two $500 gift cards and Woolies staff can only do two transactions. First got the 10K points but the Second did not.

Called Everyday Rewards and learned it should be in a single transaction. As goodwill (first-time caller), they gave me the 10K points for the Second transaction. Thankful for that!

Everday Rewards mentioned Woolies staff could have done it in a single transaction but with the supervisor overriding/giving the permission.

    • It made you to not be a guest, but a registered user from now on.

      • Curious, what is the difference?

        • I will never be a guest. Time will tell for you.

    • +2

$1000 triggers approval, you should buy $500+$499 next time

  • Anyone think how good is it now Jb Hifi have sold out of apple gift cards. Ahaha

We had some good time didn’t we

  • +2

This card is rubbish. Had multiple issues with officeworks instore and online. The service centre cant seem to provide any fixes apart from saying its a terminal issue. Officeworks obviously blames UGC. UGC say its officeworks….now i have to figure out what i can spend this money on.

    • Yep same. Held up the Officeworks line for ages, and ended up giving up. So frustrating.

  • It says TO the 17th. So does this mean this offer is still available tomorrow as well? (Sorry dumb question)

    • Yes. The deal ends at the end of tomorrow.

      • +1

Thanks! Shame my locals are sold out :(

  • Any job Hi-Fi place to buy apple gift cards ? All shops sold out Apple GC in south east Victoria

  • When will 15% off become the norm…

  • Good deal, accidentally bought the Everyone cards which are not eligible

  • does anyone have experience with adding the card to your apple wallet? i tried 10/2026 and 12/2029 as the expiry date and it’s still saying “Invalid Card.
Check the information on your card and try again”. this is after the blackhawk t&c come up, so the card number is correct.

i wanted to buy apple gift cards at jb eventually.

    • You can buy Apple Gift Cards from JB in-store using those cards.

      • you can use the ultimate gift card directly to buy apple gift cards? in previous threads, people say they only allow it when it's added to your mobile wallet because they don't know it's a gift card.

        • The JB Hi-Fi checkout system will let you purchase an Apple gift card using an Ultimate gift card, regardless of whether you swipe a physical card or tap the card from a supported mobile wallet.

The reasons you would see a lot of people (including me) preferring to use an Ultimate gift card on a mobile wallet instead of swiping a physical gift card when purchasing a gift card is to be more stealthy. If you think about it:

          • Swiping a card on an EFTPOS terminal is an unusual way to present a card these days, particularly in a country where tapping is the norm. In other words, it may draw attention of some staff members to what you are doing.

          • It is a lot harder to conceal the card you wanting to present to the EFTPOS terminal if you have to swipe it, particularly when physical Ultimate gift cards usually use bright colours on the front. I had one staff member late last year stop the transaction when they saw I was trying to use an Ultimate Home gift card to purchase a gift card, then they proceeded to lecture me on how it is against company policy to do that.

This only really matters if the staff member serving you actually cares enough to look out for the type of card you are wanting to use when you are purchasing a gift card and actually wants to stop a transaction if they think you are using a gift card. In my experience, most staff do not care, but some really do care.

          • @WookieMonster: cheers. i might just leave it and wait for a sale on e gift cards which i can add to my wallet successfully. nothing worse than getting rejected by a jb hifi employee on a power trip at the checkout haha.
