Uber Eats: $25 off Each of Your Next 4 Orders (Regional Postcodes Only)

40411
GETEATSAU

Hi there!

I hail from New Zealand, but I think I may have found a deal. We've had a pretty tasty promo code roll out across a handful of NZ cities where Uber Eats has just opened up this month, with a promo code being "GETEATSNZ", which gives you $25 off of each of your next four orders. Out of curiosity, I tried "GETEATSAU" and the code was accepted. So I set my location to an address in Bathurst, NSW, and the deal appears to be working and shows up in the promotions page.

I couldn't find if this had been posted anywhere else online, so forgive me if this is a known code.

Here's a link to the cheapies post about the NZ version of this code.

Terms:

  • For 4 orders
  • Alcohol or other regulated items may not be eligible for this promotion

This offer is for up to $25 off your next four orders you place with the Uber Eats app. You may redeem this offer a maximum of four times. Delivery Fee applies (excluding Pickup orders). Service Fee applies to orders delivered by Uber Eats and is based on order value (before promotion or discount). Other fees may apply. Amount of up to $25 will be applied as a promotion or discount at checkout. $25 off does not apply to fees. Only available for orders with participating restaurants via the Uber Eats App. For personal use only. Any remaining value is forfeited if order value is below $25. Valid for use on up to four orders only. This offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. Valid only in select areas and cities where Uber Eats is available in Australia. Promotion expires on 11:59PM AEST 01/01/24.

EDIT: This promo code seems like it might be applicable only in certain cities. I suspect the cities in this list on the Uber newsroom post.

Commenters have confirmed it at least works in:

  • Bathurst
  • Mittagong
  • Alice Springs
  • Drouin/Warragul

  • Burnie

  • Fantastic, it works! Thanks OP

    • +21

      Hmmm, no stores available though.

      • +1

Looks to be regional. Tried Bathurst as OP said and Mittagong and both offer it. Nothing around metro Sydney though.

        • +5

So far it seems like Bathurst, Mittagong, Alice Springs, and Drouin/Warragul work. Maybe people could reply to this comment with their city if they find the code does work for them, and we can build up a list.

Me too. Inner Adelaide is regional if you ask a Melbournian…

Melbourne is regional if you ask a Sydneysider…

          • +1

            @SydOzber: why Melbourne have Melbournians
            and Sydney have Sydneysiders?

            what are the inhabitants of
Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin called then ?

            • +1

@whyisave: The inhabitants of various Australian cities are often referred to by specific demonyms or nicknames:

Adelaide: People from Adelaide are often referred to as "Adelaidians" or "Adelaiders".
Brisbane: The residents of Brisbane are sometimes called "Brisbanites".
Perth: People from Perth are commonly known as "Perthites" or "Perthians".
Darwin: The inhabitants of Darwin may be called "Darwinites".

These terms are informal and are commonly used as colloquial or informal nicknames for people residing in these cities.

  • +1

Tested and works for me. Thanks mate!

  • +9

I can add it but the "selected stores" list is blank?

    • +5

If it's anything like the NZ code, it might be limited to certain cities. Could you try adding stuff to a cart and heading to the checkout page and see if the credit applies anyway?

EDIT: On the Bathurst address I set, it definitely seems to work. It shows eligible stores, and subtracts the money at the checkout.

It might be limited to these cities?

      https://www.uber.com/en-AU/newsroom/40cities/

EDIT: This is what I get on the checkout for a random Bathurst address.

      • +1

Thank for checking, tried multiple random restaurants at 2 addresses.. No luck

      • +2

Yes this seems to be the case. I changed the address to Alice springs and then the app shows a list of stores. So folks, this promo code is only for those lucky chaps residing in the cities mentioned in the link above.

  • +3

Code added. But not able to select a store within WA.

    • Same but for QLD :'(

      • Same for me in NSW LOL

        Damn

    • same for me in Melbourne

      • +2

        Melbourne isn't regional

  • +1

    In QLD, worked. Thank you!

    • what city does it work in?

  • Doesn't work for me :(

  • +2

Heading off to NZ for a meeting in 2 weeks, hope it works there.

Can add the code with AU here but orders are not eligible…

  • -4

Works here in Brisbane, thank you OP!

    • What store?

    • What stores does it work on?

    • Let me guess, you entered the code and didn't even check if any stores around you accepted it?

  • +6

no restaurants in the area. VIC

  • Cheers OP

  • Doesn't work for me

    • Same here, doesn't work 😑

  • +4

It's worked!! But same like other ppl… no selected store available when I clicked shop now…

    • +1

Yeh it added the promo but you cant buy anything, right? So its unclaimable and doesnt work?

  • Works, but no eligible stores :(

  • Not useful if can not add any store?

  • +1

Says promo claimed but then the promo is unavailable

    • +1

No eligible stores in my area (Gold Coast). Thanks anyway OP.

    • That's typical Uber Eats.

Even if the code is 'valid' within its system,
and you've tried to redeem it once,
it removes it from your "allocation"
and says that you've claimed it,
      irrespective of the code success.

  • whats a seleceted store?

  • +1

Code works but no store accepts code?

  • +1

    Kiwis are good folks. Thanks

  • nice inference, I can activate the promotion but no eligible shop could be found

  • First time an uber promo works for me. Cheers!

    • +4

Click shop now and you will find no store can use.

  • +1

    Chur brah. Not an egg.

  • No eligible stores in CBD.
    Is it for AU??

  • I also can activate the promotion but no eligible shop could be found

  • Thanks one that actually worked

  • Doesn't work for me. In NSW

  • Works but no stores eligible yet.

  • +1

    Works fine Tas, thanks mate!

    • Added the code , and the payment detail page didn’t show any promotion for fee Tassie restaurants?

Wonder the restaurant matters too? But it just show all😂

    • +1

What stores? You signed up and signed out just to comment this?

    • Can I ask which stores, please?

  • Worked thx

  • hmm says promo claimed but doesn't appear in the promo list LOL

nvm worked on desktop but no stores :(

  • Worked but could not find any store.

  • Code added but no eligible stores in Vic. Let's hope list gets changed. Offer is till 1st Jan 2024

  • +1

    Works in WA cheers OP

    • Where?

      • Yea managed to get this on my account but doesn't actually seem like any stores are participating? Unless its just my area?

    • +2

Dunno why you've been negged. Yes you can add it to your account but no stores to choose from means its useless.

      • -5

….yet. Doubt the code was created for no reason.

        • I'm sure Uber eats will still activate it then with 50,000 ozbargainers claiming it lol

      • Just because there's no stores for you to choose from doesn't mean it's a useless deal for those that do have stores to choose from.

        • LOL

        • Yeah it was established a bit after this when some people confirmed it actually worked for them beyond just adding the code.

    • +2

Ozb since 2014 still don’t know how neg works.

  • Could not be claimed :(

  • Attempt fail. Was able to put the promo through but there are no eligible stores.

  • Thnx OP, dinner sorted!

  • -7

    Shop Now > Blank

  • Oh dang, finally a code that works for me and it's a really good one.
Except no stores that it can be used at yet, ouch.

  • -6

    nice effort but no stores.

  • Promo worked however no stores are accepting it :(

  • Chur bro. Worked for me

  • Worked for South Coast NSW, use by 01/01/24

Now do I want burrito or vindaloo?

    • try ordering. I could claim the promo as well. I am in Sydney. Don't think it works when you apply the promo code.

  • no eligible stored :D is this a new promo?

  • Nice one OP

    • +1

Your original cheapies post has already gotten me $300 worth of food, as for whatever reason they've let me claim it three times on the same account.

      • Might have to move make a trip to Whangārei 😄

  • Promotion codes are not available for this account and all trips will be charged at the full price.

  • -3

    No stores WA

  • -1

Food is $5 more per dish than ordering direct from the restaurant. F Uber.

    • +17

      First day?

    • +3

It is not $5 more its 30% more on each and every item. That's how Uber eats works unless the restaurant decides not to mark up the price by 30% and absorbs the commission that they have to pay Uber.

      • Yeah I'm shocked when I see the same prices, feel sorry for the restaurants tbh

        • -3

Nothing to feel bad about. In those rarest of the rare cases when the prices are same the restaurant already have a high profit margin on their in store menu prices. They can take a 30% hit and still earn a profit.

          • +2

@ninohax: lol not even close. Some people use it as a loss leader to drive traffic but no one in hospo is making such large margins that you’re still profiting after UE 30-35% if you keep prices the same. source: business owner over about 8 different food businesses over the last 18 years

          • +1

@ninohax: I don't know why you got negged.

    • +2

I literally hate people who comment this. Do you know what the purpose of Uber is?

      • -3

to rip off buisness owners, by providing a service to lazy people who cant drive 5 minute to pick-up food

        • +5

Orrrr to those who don't drive, or who order from restaurants that aren't 5 minutes away, or who just want to stay in the night, or who order from restaurants that don't do their own delivery, or who make use of various vouchers that make delivery more affordable?

Uber has its purpose, we don't need to be told it has an increase price per dish every thread.
