    • 9 x CD's !
Lol, got no way to listen to it….unless it's the stereo in the garage

      • I was gifted the 9-CD boxset and I gotta say, made the long commutes (by car) go by quickly.

Certainly beats the logistics of loading digital files of it.

      • Lol a 9 CD audiobook for $5. Incredible value at just a tad over 50c per disc. This would have gotten me so excited back in the 90's. Now it just feels like disposable e-waste.

  • Dave Grohl, ain't he a kung fu fighter? 👍

No, you're thinking of the drummer from Nirvana…people often get them confused

      • It's crazy that people still enjoy a joke that has been repeated for 30 years

Fantastic price, great book. I read both the paperback and audiobook copy. I recommend the audiobook, as the audiobook is voiced by Mr. Dave Grohl himself. He makes it very entertaining and there's some parts where he's describing music with words and the actual sounds are played, for example a drum fill or guitar riff.

You're holding on to a grudge against a guy for 30 years that you've never met. You seem like a fun guy.

  • Always loved their music.

Does Dave Grohl express any guilt or remorse over what he did to Taylor Hawkins? Dave pressured Taylor against his will to become… safe and effective. Taylor suddenly got pericarditis and died aged 50 with an inflamed heart that had become twice its size. It’s terribly sad because Taylor was adamant that he did not want to become safe and effective. However the story has been spun away from the obvious and into a more convenient narrative. RIP Taylor Hawkins.

On a lighter note, I recall Dave jointly organising a jabbed-only exclusive concert in New York, not dissimilar to the passion of the jab-absolutist fascist Sean Penn. Much like other influencers at the time, the Foo Fighters were (hopefully) being paid to influence their fans to “do the right thing” and “get protected and stop the spread”. The funny thing being that the whole band was at the time, safe and effective, yet had to cancel the concert last minute because… it was so safe and effective that they all became so sick from Covid that they couldn’t perform.
