Wish this is the Inno3D version for this price, it would be good on my SFF build.

  • How does this get down to 1150? The discount is up to 300 but 15% is less. EBay is showing it as 1232

Bought two of these when it was on the $1199 sale. Be aware, it suffers from some coil whine :( Both the same outcome in two different systems

Generally only under major load. For example, Cyberpunk at 1440p and ultra settings, no RTX, fine, silent. 4k, ultra with RTX and noticeable coil whine.

But other games that aren't as intensive, RTX is fine. It seems to be only when under the highest of workloads.

    • Just curious - I don't know much about coil whine - but is it 'audible' from a fairly decent sound-proof case, under the desk?

      • +2

Possibly not? Hard to answer as I know some people who simply can't hear it at all as its higher frequencies generally. Me, I can hear it and get headaches. One was in a mostly sealed case, 80cm from me and could hear it with over ear headphones on. Everyone's a bit different. I ended up selling mine and getting another. The other one is doing fine, the case and user can't hear it and they don't game at extreme levels enough to be an issue.

        • I have closed headphones so I'm probably okay. Currently my 3060ti fan spools up fairly loud at load and I can't really hear it. That's the weird thing about those high frequencies - they can really penetrate.

          • @Thiefsie: Agree, so annoying too as sometimes so high it's in that range where when constant it makes you feel fatigued and gives a headache.

Also, it's not always cheap cards. Had an XFX, Asus, Gigabyte, all have coil whine in the past, varying degrees. This PNY one though is def one of the worst in its pitch and frequency.

      • depends card-to-card. ive got an admittedly ex-mining 6700 xt and it's loud as hell

I've got one and happy to report that mine doesn't exhibit any noticeable coil whine. And I'm really sensitive to noisy components! Just tried CP2077 at 4K Ultra RTX too.

Sorry you ended up with 2 bad cards :(

      • +1

Damn, maybe because at the same time (about a month ago) maybe same production batch :( but good news not all like that!

        • +1

          Maybe it's ur PSU.

          • +1

@raybies: Nah, two different PC's, also one had a 2080ti, 3080 and then a 4070ti Super (PNY) and 4070 Ti Super (INNO) and only the ONY had it. The other was a brand new PSU and does it.

If you google the model, there's a number of similar complaints. Happens with all components at some point in a production line, a cheaper/poor yield or faulty capacitor used. There was a particular range of 3080s from Asus that had awful coil whine. Just bad luck and bad production batches for the most part.

Seems these were same batch after now looking at the boxes after my reply earlier, so assume it s simply that. A batch using a crappy capacitors

            • @mxlmxlmxl: Google'd before I bought, and the PNY's were middle of the pack for coil whine… even looked at the 4080's.
Generally seems to be pretty random.

    • Someone also reported the same issue with their unit

    • Mine doesn't have any coil whine

    • I have the XLR8 one and it's silent… which is more than I can say about the CPU radiator fans.

    • Coil whine is a unit to unit thing and brand isn't a factor. It can even be caused by other components in the pc. I had coil whine on an EVGA card, on a hunch I replaced the modular pci-e cable, which eliminated the problem.

Hodl till its under $1000, then HODL for the new gen cards

    • +1

… And only then the fences will be freed

    • Honestly… when do we think this will happen? I'm probably HODLing until then too..

      • +1

5070ish cards won't come till next year, don't expect anything besides 5090/80 this year.

        • +1

We may also see the new Intel and AMD GPUs this year too, though.

  • Ugh, got the 4070ti deal for 999 couple of weeks ago. Wish I’d held out for this!

    • +1

even when you think its a deal its best to HODL

      • +1

        HODL forever!

        • I find it easy to hodl on a 2070 as the games these days…

  • ATL for 4070super as well

  • Can you use discounted eBay gift cards to pay after th coupon?

    • Yes you can stack gift cards with coupons. There is a limit to 8 gift cards/coupons per order I think.

  • Had a 4080, it was silent. Asus TUF.

  • Thx op bought 50 gonna mine some bitcoin with these

    • I thought mining was over ?

      • Thats what they want you to think

  • PNY 4060 Ti VERTO 8GB is $503.10 also.. seems close to if not the cheapest i've seen a 4060 Ti, could be wrong though.

  • $50 cheaper than my last post! Looks like $50 less every month. People can wait…
