      I have nearly every console and a gaming pc, but the steam deck was something I kept playing daily. It's extremely easy to pick up and put down if you want to play for a short period, and fantastic if you plan to play while traveling. I currently have the LCD model and have just bought this OLED model since I love it so much

      No, unless you travel a lot and have alot of downtime. The novelty will wear off, nothing beats gaming on a pc or console with a larger screen. You'll probably play it alot for the first month and then it'll just sit collecting dust.

    Managed to get one. Will be upgrading from my LCD version. As a dad, this is all I play on now, and it was great when travelling recently. The instant pause and resume function is amazing

    Well I'm having a good morning. Managed to grab one of these on the restock. Justified it to myself as I'm a PC game dev and can claim it on tax. Then told my boss I'd bought one and he just offered to pay for it.

        Shouldn't really matter.

        The fact that I'm purchasing it with the intent of making sure the game I'm working on runs on that system should be enough justification. As a game developer, it's a legitimate work expense.

        Having said that, I can't claim the Deck anyway as my employer is paying for it.

      Need to be travelling internationally in next 60 days. Need the item and an invoice with the seller ABN and cost of item. Doesn't matter about it being open, and don't packaging or box, just the console itself to show you have it with you. Also, I noticed the invoice doesn't show the 300 off, so you'll get GST from the 1207, even better!

      You can move it straight across but I would always recommend a fresh install. Get rid of all the hidden bloat.
