I am ready to negate it - LOL :)

Unfortunate yes, I didn't post this knowing how many people would start whinging…lol

      • Yeah I wouldn't post anything from them either.

  • Great price if you need to buy it now but i personnely would wait few more months for price to hit $500 mark. +1 OP

      Wasn't S3 still $500+ up until S4 is out?

      • s3 is now about 350$ or something

        • Not $350 yet, still ~$400 shipped and it's after S4 is out. You'll have to wait until S5 out for S4 drop close to $500.

        • A year ago, there were no htc one, xperia z, Nexus 4. S3 was the best Android phone you could get. Today, S4 is not much better than S3 and the ones above. If they want to keep the sales going, S4's prices have to dive hard. I tried S4 and I thought it was just another S3 with a different casing (mind you, the eye movement recognition software wasn't that polished and hard to use, well just my opinion.) with double the price tag.

        • For me, the winning point of the S4 is the infra red port. Imagine, no more remote controls.

        • both htc one and Xperia Z have it too.

No need to apologise mate, there are obviously a couple of people who have had bad experiences from uniquemobiles, but I can say that I have bought 2 phones from them and have nothing but good things to say about them.

  • Octa* :3

  • Nice price… been planning to get Xperia Z… theres only about $100 difference between them with this price…
    tempting

Only if you believe the $100 worth your upcoming mishaps….

  • How trustworthy are these Unique Mobiles?

    • As per my post above, I've had a couple of orders with them, no problems at all. One thing that seems to put off a lot of people is that they may be unsealed packaging, no big deal in my opinion though.

      • How is that no big deal.

Hell i wouldn't buy from them if i know the packaging is going to be unsealed.

        • +1

There are a couple of reasons why the packaging would be opened. They tell you on the website if it is a grey import, so i'd prefer them to open it up and swap to the right region charger, or for aus stock phones i'd prefer them to open it up and unlock the phone/get rid of the network specific firmware.

Depends on what your after, if you're going for legit Aus stock with the seal intact, then don't buy from these guys, but there are plenty of people (myself included) that are happy with the trade-off for a cheaper price.

        • You didnt tell us why it is such a big deal.
Seal or not, you get a new phone that work to its specification.

        • Without a seal u cannot be 100% sure its a brand new phone! End of story. Be informed of what ur buying!

        • S4 has been out for a week. If it looks and works like a new phone, does it really matter in this case? For older phones, maybe you can make the case for a small percentage to be refurbished phones etc. But id consider it paranoia, since new phones are going to have defects too. Is it any more risky? At most id check for any prior use (Scratches, dents), check battery health and be on my way with the hundred bucks that i saved.

There are a couple of reasons why the packaging would be opened. They tell you on the website if it is a grey import

That's bull. I've bought 4 grey import phones the last 3 years. 2 of them gave me a travel adapter not bundled inside the box. The other two gave me a separate charger (so I got the original charger and a new charger) in its own separate box. In none of those 4 phones was the original packaging unsealed.

There's no excuse for them breaking seals. Are they selling returned stock?

  • Do the share coupons stack with this code?

  • How reliable is uniquemobiles.com.au ??

The deal is good. Anyone brought from this site before?

    • Just be aware you are not buying from an Australian company, the use of a .com.au address is IMO an abuse of the system.
Treat them just the same as any other Hong Kong drop shipper.

      • Neg away, the truth hurts.

"This Item is offered and supplied by
        Unique Mobiles Direct Ltd (HK)."

  • anyone know of any super duper s3 deals at the moment? saw a couple on shopbot but a lot of sites I have never heard of.
    Go the bunnies tonight lol.

  • This will be a grey import at that price - do keep that in mind people.

  • The wholesale price for S4 in Hong Kong has dropped $110 in the last 3 days, currently sitting at $634 (i9500). hope this tip can help those who can't decide :)

    • Can you please post that seller's website, phone number or company address?

  • This website has it for $672 if you like their FB page (free shipping).

Personally I wouldn't buy from them as they are, IMHO, in breach of Australian Consumer Law by refusing to handle warranty repairs.

Australian Consumer Law is VERY clear that the RETAILER is responsible for handling your warranty issues, but on Unique Mobiles website they state…………

    http://www.uniquemobiles.com.au/warranty

"Seller: Unique Mobiles Pty Ltd (AUS)……… Warranty is not provided by the seller. For full details, please contact the manufacturer's customer service……….If your item develops a fault…..within the warranty period, please contact the manufacturer's customer service directly …….Items should not be returned to the seller………."

I have no issues buying from OS knowing that ** I ** am responsible for warranty issues, but I will not buy from an "Australian" seller who tries dodgy things like this.

Seems the Unique Mobiles brigade are negging everyone who brings up valid issues.

      • Not only them but also other haters.

    • You're right, MSY was fined for doing this.
