+1 voteYes, I know it does seem to be on the cheaper side, the marbling rating wasn't high, and I wasn't expecting much. But the meat didn't just taste ordinary, it actually seemed to be "off". 2 other friends who bought the same steak on the same day had the same feeling, so I am sure its not just the way i cooked it. Should have realised when I saw the meat didn't look right, the color seems a bit dull.
However, I did manage to purchase a couple of wagyn rump from another butcher who had them on special, $20 for 2 x250g piece, and they tasted really nice after a quick cook on a grill over hot coal. Actually I was lucky enough to goto Kobe city in Japan last year, and tried the real thing.. absolutely wonderful flavours, but at over $120 for a 250g steak :P

Don't think they are really that good based on personal experience. Went there to buy Wagyu beef steak paid $30-$40/kg for it at the time. The meat didn't look as good as other Wagyu steak I have purchased in the past, but i went all the way there and thought I would give them a chance. The meat tasted terrible, and even stunk a bit IMHO. Not sure if their other normal steaks are good, but definitely not the one I had. (The store I went to was the one at Yatala)
