    I think this is a very good deal. I just purchased K-30 with Sigma 17-70mm 2.8-4 macro Contemporary version (newest version) for $700. And I don't regret it. K-30 is a very capable camera. Trample my D5100 easily.

      Where did you find your K30 at? That's the kit I'm after, but only Teds have it.

      This is a great price given the improved (relative to the normal 18-55mm kit lens) Sigma lens that is bundled up. Tempting tempting.

      thats good price. the 17-70mm 2.8-4 itself sold for around $350-450.
      do you think k-30 is good step up from k-x ?

    I bought it from digidirect melbourne. Ted also have the kit for 636 but the 2.8-4.5 not 2.8-4. If im not mistaken. However i bought the kit with other lens too so that may help pushing the price down a bit.

      I haven't come across the 17-70mm 2.8-4 lens, that's a bonus (not that it particularly matters an iota for my amateurific needs). They don't list it on their site, which is a bummer. I might shoot them an email this afternoon, see what happens.

    Yea 2.8-4 is newer thats why i paid a bit more than teds kit price which comes with older but still good version. G'luck. Let us know how it goes.
