Free 1 Year Pingdom Subscription for Firefox Users
This entry was posted 467 days ago

From this Royal Pingdom blog entry:

“If you sign up for Pingdom uptime monitoring using a Firefox browser you will get a whole year for free (saving you $119.40). The offer is valid until Saturday. Sounds interesting? Visit the Pingdom sign-up page! (You don.t need a credit card.)”

Also at the bottom of the page:

“P.S. We have set a limit of 1,000 accounts, so it.s first come, first served!”

Pingdom is a well-featured website uptime monitoring system that notifies you whenever your website is down and when it is coming back up. I heard MoneyBackCo is using it so it must be good :) It can notify you that your website is down AS SOON AS it happens, so you can take actions like trying to fix the problem or relaying to your provider. If you own a website, you should know how useful it is.

However it can’t do much if your service provider decided to take your money and do a runner, which is what happened to me to my other site a few weeks ago :(

Doh! We’ve only just signed up for a 12 month subscription, although it was only US$44 (if you take the free 30 day trail they offer you the reduced rate), still free would definitely have been better!

Great bargain hunting Scotty.

Steve: One year free for me, you need to make sure you’re running FireFox though.

According to our web stat program, 48% of OzBargain.com.au visitors are Firefox users, which is a bit more than Internet Explorer at 45% over the last 30 days :)

Thanks for the heads up. I have just terminated my account from the control panel and the renewal date is tomorrow.

$119 is a bit rich I think.

Yeah I terminated my account earlier this month “just in case” that the cancellation request takes a few days to process…
