  • Thanks OP. Good price indeed.

  • Bioshock 2 on steam (and everywhere else apparently) still includes Games For Windows Live Or Whatever DRM too. A bit annoying to sign in at first, especially if you don't have an account already.

Didn't stop me playing, but just FYI.

  • US address Amazon required

  • Rest of the series is on sale as well http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/111903

I picked up this package when it came up a few weeks back http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/109306

Tip from the previous post: When ordering pick a false address in the USA using a state that doesn't have sales tax - say Alaska.

    • here is a list of states that Amazon charge sales tax for, any address not in those states should be fine.

Though at the bottom it says Electronically delivered products (e-books, e-documents, and electronically delivered software) are considered to be shipped to your current credit card billing address.

      • yeah - I chose a cheap motel in Saratoga, New York - ended up with 7% which I just wore, but will change it for next time - 35c wasnt worth worrying about but the next one may be.

35c isn't worth worrying about??? who let you in here!!!

        • Hey, its a good excuse not to ring my mum ;) lol

  • After setting up the Amazon account with an US address , then I entered the australian one and never got charged sales tax

    • Can someone give us a rough guide on how to do this? I thought Steam checks your account for US address. So does that mean you can keep existing Steam AU account but sign in with Amazon? I'm confused

      • the purchase is completely separate from steam. you purchase a key from amazon, and use the key to redeem on steam. so steam region is irrelevant.

    best games of all time

The original Bioshock is one of the most perfect games I've played. Story, audio, art style, combat (better than Infinite imo), are all amazing.

  • Hmmm steam says $40?

    Guess it's another Amazon U.S. gip…

  • Anyone have problems with bioshock 2 on windows 8? It doesn't work for me and Ive been looking for fixes on the net and still can't find a solution

  • I've given up trying to complete Bioshock, the terrible mouse movement is the worst I have ever experienced in a game.

    • Have you tried turning Vsync on/off? Also you should be able to adjust mouse sensitivity to your liking in the options. Dead Space 1 on PC was awful, you could hardly use the main menu it was that laggy and slow! Please don't give up on Bioshock, it truly is a masterpiece and you only realise why it's so great later on.

      • I really have tried everything! (I think?). I must have started the game 5 or 6 times over the years, gone on forums, modified ini files, played with vsync etc etc. I usually get about an hour or so through and then can't take it any more. I must say the first hour isn't that fun either but I understand it probably gets a lot better.

        • Oh dear :\
What is the mouse movement like exactly? Have you tried a controller if you have one and does it play better? Also what version of the game are you playing, from a physical disk or Steam version etc?

        • Yeah Steam version. I think it's just mouse acceleration, I certainly found a lot of complaints about it when I went looking for fixes. I might try it with a controller one day I imagine it must be better (though FPS and controller is kind of wrong..)

        • I see. It's a bit unfortunate that you haven't been able to experience the game properly up to now. Also what mouse are you using and is it fine for all other games?

    • Try http://www.gamefront.com/files/22306419/MarkC_Windows_8+7_Mo…, it's a registry edit which removes mouse acceleration. It works similar to the CPL mousefix for counter-strike in ye olden days
