This is a good mouse, very responsive and comfortable. i am using the VX (smaller for notebooks) version at the moment.
Just letting you guys know that the MX version does not have a middle click button. pressing the middle wheel just toggles between free-spin and click-spin mode for the scroll wheel.
+1 voteYou can have the middle moust button just disable/turn off setpoint.

Also from that page,
" There is a way to get the middle button without completely giving up the scroll control.

Is it the same model here:

LOL I can imagine a computer store buying like 1000 of these off Dell and reselling them for like the normal price they usually sell it for.
Somebody will make a killing off these!
I do wonder if they have a "limited" stock though, or is it just unlimited and they will keep buying from Logitech kinda thing.
-1 votephasercomputers on 29/03/2009 - 21:24 ¶well ive ordered 8 so far. I do think if dell saw an order for 1000, they wouldn't allow it, as its for commercial use or something. but who knows!

phasercomputers on 29/03/2009 - 21:56 ¶pay by creditcard, that way if they bail you wont get charged.
+2 voteswhy does dell always take so long to fix up their errors? by now they would see that they are getting many many sales of this mouse… are they trying to suck as much people in then say sorry and offer it at a crappier and much higher price? this brings email advertising to a whole new level that only dell could do!
firepowered on 29/03/2009 - 22:02 ¶if i pay by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), will they automatiaclly refund my money>?
TeaEarlGreyHot on 30/03/2009 - 22:55 ¶Yeah, I got the e-mail also & looked at the mouse & thought "I'll order one of them tomorrow"… Boy, am I sorry now that I went to bed & didn't order it then & there!!!
Cheers,
Make mine Tea, Earl Grey, Hot.

ok, i wonder if they're gonna cancel orders because they DEFINITELY WON'T have enough stock.
we're probably talking about 1000's of these mouses through oz bargain alone?
Sif they have that much stock/can get that much.
I just tried and i can order an unlimited amount… which means just like cd wow need for speed underground, they won't have enough stock to for fill orders I just know it!

niccceeee…ordered 2…reasonable amount i feel…and you can claim this back in June too(via ETR)!..how sweet is that! $17.05 for a MX Revolution? you lil' beawty! fingers crossed stock doesn't run out before my order is completed :D
EDIT - Just realised….the only things i find myself buying from Dell have been uber-discounted stuff, with the previous purchase being that $250 24" monitor last year…loving it :P

+1 voteThese problems only ever happen to Dell over the weekend - when no-one is working to notice or correct their error. I predict that Monday morning they'll notice the error, take it offline and cancel the orders. So the best way to actually get these at this price is to race down to OW first thing in the morning and have them price match based on the online price before Dell take it down.

GerrardLFC on 29/03/2009 - 23:49 ¶Orders should go through. People on Dells email list should have received the new deals in their email yesterday. The mouse is listed there at $34 delivered due to $20 cash off.
If people are on the mailing list and Dell want to cancel the order you just tell them " I can understand a mistake on the website but to provide the price to me in my weekly email means that the deal should be honoured as the link in the email takes me direct to the website ready to order "
firepowered on 30/03/2009 - 00:02 ¶i just talked to a friend who is a dell rep on msn, he reckons its just another pricing error. weekend meant no one could check/pull it off the site.
so tmrw, it gets pulled, orders cancelled and nothing we can do, since the disclaimer on every page about pricing error.
good game.
+1 voteJohn Stone on 30/03/2009 - 00:51 ¶Yeah, its no coincidence that these pricing errors always happen on a weekend or at least outside of business hours. The deal probably will be amended sometime Monday morning. People who ordered via credit card, havnt been charged yet, and Dell will just reverse the transaction of anybody who paid via direct deposit. There is no way Dell is going to sell thousands of MX Revolutions for $34 each.

NimitzHarrington on 30/03/2009 - 00:51 ¶Looks like it may be legit, and intended. It just came through the weekly Dell deals newsletter. Still, has the usual disclaimer regarding price attached to it…

citybargainhunter on 30/03/2009 - 07:23 ¶bought one last night, and another this morning. Will be using one for work and one for home.
+1 voteHope they honor this potentially erroneous deal.
I have been tossing up getting one of these having used one for a year, but since dropping it in the toilet it no longer works. If they do confirm and send me the four I ordered I can afford to lose these things and take them with me anywhere
+3 votesmanbearpig on 30/03/2009 - 09:37 ¶lol what were you doing using your laptop in the toilet :P
Kazzycaboodles on 30/03/2009 - 08:29 ¶I just ordered one but I had to use an internet bank transfer. Fingers crossed that I actually get the mouse as it's quite an awesome deal!:)
+2 votesso, because i have nothing much else to do at 9:30 in the morning…apart from an unfinished assignment due at 5 today…i've run through all the comments and tallied about 86 Revolutions have been ordered by Ozbargainers so far, mind you this is just from the people who have commented, so the real tally could be monstrous…beginning to feel like this deal will be passed of as a pricing error :( …oh the doubt…
+4 votesooh! this is only $33 under the small and medium business
