iTunes gift cards are the best, everything is already cheap and 25% off just makes it better

      Are you the 1%?

    • I dont see why this post is rated negative? Discounted iTunes cards are the cheapest way of making purchases through the App store, iTunes and Mac App store so weesals comment is more than valid.

I think it was the "everything is already cheap" part that people disagreed with

        • Well that doesn't stand up either as iTunes music is cheaper than CDs, ie a random CD search I did shows an album at JB Hifi for $19.99 compared to $16.99 at iTunes store without any card discounts. In my experience I have found prices on iTunes generally cheaper than brick and mortar but i still get DVDs at JB when they go on sale from time to time.

        • It's that apples and oranges analogy again isn't it?
Downloads should be a lot cheaper than physical cds so not cheap imo.

Can anyone confirm if we could price match with officeworks for extra 5% off? Or is it only for individual items?

    • People did last time. 30*.95=28.50
Using ING brings it down to $27.08.

But unless you really can't wait I suggest waiting for it to go to $20 for $40 again.

    • I just called Officeworks and the lady said that they wouldn't match the price because they only did this for single purchases, and not buy two, get a discount type deals. Can anyone confirm whether they've had luck in store? My local OW is a fair way away and I can't be bothered going there if they won't do it.

  • do people really buy iTunes card at 25% off?

Where have you been moonwalk? I wait for the 25-50% off sales all the time! You dont have to have a credit card linked to your account, and it saves loads off purchases. When Final Cut Pro X came out for over $300 i saved 33 percent off with cards from The Good Guys, was a bargain. Its not just all about music and renting videos, app purchases and buying magazines through Zinio is usually what I use them for.

I need to top up my aussie iTunes account again, but 25% isn't enough. I think my threshold is 40%

i am always waiting for the 50% at HN.

    • HN just has the same offer as this last weekend. Not sure when/if we will ever see a 50% sale again

  • The best sale I have seen was the good guys where they had unlimited 3 for 2 on all sizes (save 33.33%).

I've done the HN ones but they're only ever strictly one $20 purchase per person (which makes me think they're a loss leader), so I prefer unlimited sales where I stock up on a few hundred dollars so I don't need to replenish my account for some time, depending how many kids apps my wife buys :)

  • Shipping kills the deal. $6!

  • waiting for the BOGOF, want a decent navigation app for my iphone, any pointers?
been looking at copilot (free to download - but inapp purchase of $30 to get full voice guided nav)

    • I bought tomtom a few years ago about $60, but with discounted cards + can use on both my own and wife's iPhone it works out very cheap per phone.
Can't fault it - free map updates and all.
Best part is that it works over Bluetooth audio and softens the iPhone music as directions are given.

      • It works better on my iphone than it does on my actual tomtom unit….
