  • Problem is, they didn't make the barcodes unique or apply it directly to your rewards card….

Have you confirmed this with a different email, etc. OP?

    • +2

Um… it is a generic html page…. Have you confirmed it?

      • No probs… And no, because I can't even find the where abouts of the survey!

  • +2

    Confirmed, it's generic.

  • Pretty sure its generic, completed the survey and it never asked for an email address and the page with the voucher popped up.

  • -1

    Is it Chicken Kebab?

    • +1

"Free kebab includes any kebab from the Classic or Signature range"
      Here's a link of their menu: http://www.alibaba.com.au/our-menu.html

        thanks!

Let see if someone managed to claim it from their Macquarie Centre shop. Heard they dont respect such vouchers.

        • Maybe I'll give it a go tonight

        • My wife and I both claimed one each at Macquarie shops tonight. They didn't put tabouli and hummus on until I asked for it, then the manager said to the lady "no more giving tabouli with these freebies, okay?"

          Twas delicious!

  • Anyone tried yet?

      seshil 22 min ago
      got one…

But in saying that hasn't +d it… So maybe it wasn't very nice?

  • Will the barcode work if I print two per page, or does this have to be printed as 1 A4 page per voucher?

  • The only problem I could see there being is that I couldn't get the barcode to scan on 2 different barcode scanners. If they don't scan from their side they may reject the voucher.

  • +1

Hahaha , at least I have done the survey before I print out the voucher .

    • I don't see what the big deal is about that lol

      • It's just fraud after all.

        • Not quite

  • +3

haha I though it was Alibaba, the DX store

    • +3

haha are you sure you'd trust them sending you a kebab?

    • +1

I thought it was Ali Barber, The hairdresser on Barrack st.

      • +2

I thought it was Ali Ababwa. as in Aladdin.

        • Strong as ten regular men, apparently.

  • +2

I wonder what AliBaba's reaction would be when they find out 9999999 vouchers were redeemed with only a handful of surveys actually done lol

  • voucher can be used on phone?

    • +1

I called the Chadstone store and they confirmed that yes, it can be shown on a phone.

  • The Kebab is better than the Vietnamese food from yesterday.

    • -6

^ Nobody neg, it's what they want. Positive votes only!!

    • Did you eat the Vietnamese food yesterday but? Coz you said you don't eat Chinese food which means you don't eat Vietnamese food either so how can you tell it is better or not?

      • +1

I mistook the deal yesterday for Chinese.
I was just commenting on my food preferences.
I did not know I would get negative (all) or positive votes for it.

  • +3

Redeemed from the one outside Canberra Centre (Opposite oporto). I had a hard copy and they scanned it in.

  • NO store in WA.. Does it have an expiry? Perhaps I can print a heap for the future?

    • That would be fraudulent.

    • voucher valid until 30/09/13 (at the bottom of voucher)

  • Nice now can hear down sydney George street for a free kebab, haven't been down there for ages.

    • Are you sure it's still there? Couldn't find any according to
      http://www.alibaba.com.au/locations.html

      • not sure if it's still there. it used to be across the cinema, next to oporto. haven't been there for a while.

        • +1

It changed to Oporto years ago. Nearest to Sydney CBD is Macuarie center that I m going there tomorrow to try the voucher.

  • Do they have one of these places in sydney city?

  • +2

I got to question 4 of the survey, and already it's unanswerable.

I have never eaten at Ali Baba's, and it looks like I never will.

    TC KEBABS FTW.

  • did survey two times and got two vouchers.. but both the vouchers have got same number and barcode!! can I redeem both?? or as many as I can print?

    • Yes there is a image posted here an hour ago, is it still there?

I think go deleted so just claim your two.

    • It says on the voucher; one voucher per person.

  • +1

Why have Abs, when you get a free Kebabs!

  • +1

    *** Face Palm ***

You don't have to do the survey people, just click the main link I originally posted and print it out….

    My goodness…

Also, I'm a little under whelmed by the + to click ratio.

    • +1

I think the JPG got removed.

    • +3

Why would we abuse their services without first taking the survey they are rewarding us for taking?

      • -7

        That's what she said

      • +5

because we are a bunch of unethical vulchers

        • +4

I think "professionals" is the word you're looking for.

        • +2

There's a fine line between operating with morals and without.
There are professionals on both sides of the line.

        • Hehe, it's one thing to do it, but to advocate it? D:

If you pirate a game, and as a result you get 10 of your friends to buy full copies, have you really done a bad thing? (Yes, lol but but but!)

    • +3

      My goodness…

      Why so serious?

    • They provide something nice and you shouldn't encourage against it..really.

      • Tell that to the 1000+ others that have already done that. (Guess you tried in this comment reply)

  • Apparently they don't show the alibaba adds at the cinemas anymore.

  • I just clicked on the link, the survey is now closed :(

  • I have a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad feeling about this. I think maybe they will not going to honour this.

  • Due to an overwhelming response this survey has now closed.

    Damn.

  • OZBARGAINED

  • Lucky I took a copy this afternoon

    • Link us to the PDF please, thx.

  • -2

    message me a voucher anyone??

  • -2

Would anyone be nice enough to upload the voucher? I forgot to save mine =(

  • +1

I love it how the voucher expiry was by the end of this month, now it seems like they're not going to honour it…

Looks like we've been Kogan'd guys!

  • +4

I filled in the survey just to confirm that the code was generic, so then when I grabbed my free kebab for dinner I didn't feel so bad. The voucher does not actually say what size kebab it's valid for and the lady at the shop I was at had not seen it before, so we settled on a normal/regular size. Must admit it was quite tasty too, much better than the last one I had at their shop in central Melb.

    • +1

did it come with any hairs?

  • -1

i missed out, could someone post generic voucher thx

  • -4

Someone want to PM me a link, that has not been used and abused? Thanks.

  • -2

A friend of mine works for Ali Baba. Unless you're willing to travel to different stores their staff are told not to honour suspicious vouchers or repeat offenders

    • -1

So i should dress like a terrorist?

  • +4

    AliCrapa.

  • -7

Just received an email from the company saying they won't be honouring these vouchers. They are sending new vouchers to their loyalty members only. That was fast…

    • +12

Good luck to them not honouring it. I think they'd want to be talking to their Legal Deptarment before making a statement like that! There's nothing in their conditions that says that they can withdraw this offer at any stage, it's completely valid till Sept 30th. The only thing they could try pull is to say that they believe you've already used the voucher previously. And even that won't wash because they wouldn't be able to prove it if you haven't already!
Think I'll make the effort to head down there to grab one tomorrow just to see what they try pull!!!

    • +6

Anyone else notice 'alibaba1' user just set up their account yesterday just to post in this thread? Hmm…company rep?

      • +4

Care factor??? I hope he/she is a Rep and takes my advice about the legalities of this offer because as previously stated, there is nothing on this voucher about withdrawing it early or right to refusal!
So basically, suck it up and write it off as a learning experience AliBaba!!!

        • +7

I don't have any issue with company reps coming here to post, but if they indeed are a company rep, they should be upfront about it, rather than say stuff like "a friend of mine works for Ali Baba…"

I also think Alibaba should suck it up :)

        • I agree, it is a hard school, and I do feel a bit guilty posting it up now.

No doubt though, hopefully they have learned something from this (and other brand take heed).

If you have a membership base, with tons of information and data…. USE IT!

Apply it to your rewards system, don't skimp on $$$ by letting something like this happen (and letting the professionals get a hold of it….)

        • On the same token, they may actually make a couple of extra dollars by people buying chips, a drink, etc. And they've just recieved a heap of (not exactly free) public exposure! If I was them, I'd just be pissed at the company that set up the survey. At the absolute least, it should've been sent to an email address!

    • Nice spot!

  • Can someone please upload a pdf of the generic barcoded page - looks like they realised their error and have now closed the survey!!

  • -3

Mods are deleting pictures of the voucher which makes no sense.
