  • Isn't it Sony Xperia Z Ultra? (i.e. the uselessly big one)?

    • +5

Or maybe all the others are uselessly small?

What is the normal price for one of these anyway?

Edit: Kogan says $539 + postage

    • I am not happy. I paid $398 for my Huawei Asend mate last week! Spewing.

      • Why did you spend that much money for Huawei? For $400, you have so many choices. If you really needed a big screen, you could have bought Samsung Mega(medicore specs, yet, but reasonably good)

        • +3

Some people just can't stand Samsung, their use of plastic and heavily skinned ui is displeasing to many, while the ascend mate isn't the best the mega isn't outstanding either

        • I don't like Samsung - never have. I'd been looking at the Mate for a while and decided to jump because it didn't seem like the price was going down. Sure, it's a Huawei, but it's a Huawei that suits my needs. The battery was also too awesome to pass up at the time.

        • +1

+1 for prioritizing whats best for your needs.

How are you finding a 6" screen? not too big?

        • Maybe Mega is not outstanding as Note series, but certainly better in every aspects. There are other options for $400 as well. But again, you choose what suits you the most.

        • @CyberGenesys - I was real worried that it wouldn't fit in my pocket, but it fits easily in jeans (which is all I really wear)! The screen is only 720p, but I wouldn't have known if someone hadn't told me. It's bright too!
The battery is a HUGE bonus, as I can last two days on a single charge, and can then have it charged back up within two hours.

        • Good to hear, I think you made the right choice on the Huawai over the SG Mate. Its a shame that its so relatively expensive for mid range device. TBH, if I could find the Huawai at a cheaper price I would probably take that over the Sony Z Ultra.

        • +2

I'd been looking at the Mate for a while

          Incorrect.

"I'd been waiting for a Mate for a while"

All your data is probably going straight to China. Well documented: http://www.afr.com/p/national/huawei_spies_for_china_says_ex…

Sale is actually on now. Great price for the Jamie Oliver book so that's one xmas pressie down.

    • Got it as well - great for an xmas pressie!

      • Me three. For who, I don't quite know yet, but it was too cheap to pass up. Jamie's books always make good Christmas gifts :)

  • that book's really cheap, bookworld usually sell it for $20ish with the coupon and dymocks has it for $30

Are the sunglasses any good and what size is 50mm how do I measure what I need?

Also is Polarize a good or bad thing?

    • Polarised lenses absorb UV rays. So it will protect your eyes and reduce glare. Good things.

      • No, thats not what Polaroid lens do. The idea behind polarized lens is they block the reflected light of flat surfaces such as water, which reduces glare. (they do this by blocking horizontally polarized light waves, is what is created when light reflects off surfaces like water).

All glasses generally are UV proof, but not all are polarized.

Damn not having CoD Ghosts PC on sale.

    Good otherwise.

  • I like to buy the camera, but the warranty worries me.. any experience dealing with warranty issues ozbargainers?

    • great price for the camera - lowest I have seen! Pity after selling 3 they are 'sold out'! Was researching some lenses … came back to the ebay site …. and ozbargained! Congrats to those who got a camera.

  • There isn't supposed to be an e in the sony xperia z just letting you know

    • Thanks for that, I updated the title

    Those machines are unbelievably awesome

  • Got one Z ultra. Nice price, almost went for the LG G2 today.

  • Good price for D7100, grey imports are around $950-1000. Who knows what local is.. over priced i bet.

  • Landed the Oral B Triumph 5000 kit for $109.95

closest i could everywhere else was $130 (and that was from another ebay seller)

Thanks OP. Managed to order one Sony Ultra Z just before the deal expired. They had 50 stocks for each color (black/white), all have gone now.

  • Was just browsing through some of the sold out items,

    c***k ( 9 ) bought 12 of the D7100 cameras… That's definitely not for personal use.. haha

    • Cant be selling on eBay either because he will be hit with GST for sure. Also taken away the fees and charges he will likely make maybe $50 each. Not worth it in my mind for all that trouble.

      • +3

how do i get associated out? I am not associated with the store at all

      • 12 x $50 is not a bad profit..

Then again the cheapest grey import is going for 1k.

    • It may be a uni/school/company purchase

  • Thanks OP.

    Bought GHD air.

  • Does anyone know when the Xperia Z Ultras are going to be shipped.

    • Mine has been shipped and got the tracking number at 6:44pm today, but it's not trackable in the Toll system yet.

      • Mine is in NSW this morning, hopefully will get it tomorrow.

    • still waiting for mine, is your ship yet?

      • No, mine hasn't shipped yet.

      • After messaging them, they finally send the shipping notification and the tracking number but it is not traceable yet.
