Windows 7 All Versions+ 1.5TB HDD from $215 @ Fluidtek + Core i7 Bundles, All Cheaper Than Usual
[1st] furythree on 09/11/2009 - 12:54 (www.fluidtek.com.au)

edit prices were dropped again!

I just noticed eddy is selling his bundles cheaper than usual today.

WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM & 1.5TB HARDDISK $225 -> NOW $215
normally windows 7 HP is $119 (sometimes sale for $99) and a 1.5tb hdd is around $150. Hdd is probably samsung but not certain
so you effectively get the 1.5tb for $125

WINDOWS 7 PROFESSINAL & 1.5TB HARDDISK $289 -> NOW $275
normally w7 Pro is 179 (usually his sale price is 159)
effectively the 1.5tb hdd is $120

WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE & 1.5TB HARDDISK $320 -> NOW $319
normally w7 ulti is 229 (goes on sale for 199)
effectively the hdd is about $120

core i7 -920 + logitech g9x $485 - normally g9x is $99 (cheaper than anywhere else already) and core i7 there was a shortage price spiked to $495, i managed to get one early at $449 a few months ago. This price effectively makes it 450 for the cpu and $35 for the mouse

core i7 -920 + logitech g15 $480
I actually own this combo bought previously
I got this 920 for 449 and g15 for $79
this deal makes the cpu cost around $450 and the g15 for $30

core i7 -920 + logitech g19 $625
the g19 normally is around $199, which would make the cpu $425 down from $495 last week.

small savings, but big considering they were bargains to begin with
from memory the g15 goes for over $100 elsewhere
and no other computer shop would sell the cpu for under $499 even before there was a shortage

The core i7 920 is the best value for money cpu and i have overclocked it to an insanely stable 4ghz
calculates 10million sig. fig. of pi in 14 seconds

the conditions were:
limit 1 set per customer (for the i7 bundles) - instore only

Deal will be available on tuesday all day as well

bryans on 09/11/2009 - 17:16 ¶

No big loss. They will usually have the same price a day or two later, or bundled up in some other fashion. These guys have a ‘sale’ almost everyday second day (death by sales?). Secondly if you are not 100% sure about the product you’re buying don’t bother going into the store. They don’t have time for your questions…

wow do your research before you say anything
g19 is the latest gaming keyboard from logitech
and the cpu is a core i7 the most powerful range on the market

run whatever you have that you paid $20 for against both and see the difference

MSY has the i7-920 for $379, so it’s not a bargain.

did you buy it? post it as a bargain with a receipt
when i bought mine, there were tons of “advertised” cheaper prices but they were all either baiting or had no stock and never update. When fluidtek advertises they always have stock.

I’m surprised that this retailer openly promotes the sale of OEM Windows software with clearly contravenes Microsoft’s licence agreement (particularly given the existence of this offer will now exist in perpetuity on the oz bargain site, and will no doubt appear in google search results)….

maybe if you pay attention and click on the conditions , you will realise its for system builders , as mentioned many , many times all over the website.
Dont worry we will add it a few more times for you - Might even make it [blink-blink] so you dont miss it next time .
And before you carry on , like you know everything , read the license requirements yourself . So do not be surprised . its there on the front page , in the open and its a bargain , and how cool would it be when it comes up on google .

Doey21 on 09/11/2009 - 19:12 ¶

Yeah theres no need to impulse buy any of these items. As i recall, the ACER 23” monitors had “ONE DAY SALE ONLY”…then…”MEGA TUESDAY SALE MUST END TODAY”….then “ONCE ONLY EXTENSION SALE!! THIS IS FINAL!!!!” ….and then “FINAL EXTENSION OF AN EXTENSION SALE!!! BE IN QUICK STOCK IS LIMITED (max 5 per person)”

Gravatar
+1 vote
Doey21 on 09/11/2009 - 19:23 ¶

That would be more believable if say, you ran out of stock and the special came back on 1 week later….

What really happened? - At least 2 straight weeks of promoting the same product as “final day sale” - and unfortunately thats not hyperbole. I find your “stock coming in” scenario hard to believe. Unless your supplier lost his van and had to carry monitors from the warehouse

I think this is a good deal- maybe MSY is cheaper, but as bargaincrypt said, does he have stock?
BargainCrypt, can we see the specs of this processor?
Thanks,

Using staticice.com

i7 920 ~ $350
g15 ~ $95 (with i7 $445 - $55 cheaper)
g19 ~ $250 (with i7 $600 - $25 cheaper)
g9x ~ $95 (with i7 $445 - $60 cheaper)

What I don’t understand is where you magically pulled $499 for an i7 from, especially when it only goes over $499 on page 7 (20 results per page) of a static ice search for “i7 920”

Not giving a -ve since the win7 bundles seem good

Gravatar
-1 vote
[Rep] bargaincrypt on 09/11/2009 - 22:28 ¶

i7 920 for $350 your kidding no matter what static ice says , check the condition apply .and stock .
and anyhow G15 deal is revised to $470
So i will leave it at that , go an do your own research before you claim expertisim at stock availability using staticice as a tool . thats not research .

Gravatar
+1 vote
furythree on 10/11/2009 - 00:54 ¶

lol its been mentioned several times before, the $350 price u found on static ice is from shops who never update prices. If you call them they wont have stock. the prices are before there was a shortage (there were two phases of stock shortage)
i saw the same thing 2 months ago, and back then there wasnt any stock (this was after the first shortage). Last week there was a price hike because of another shortage. thats where the $499 came from.
none of the shops ever update their prices except maybe on their homepages which doesnt update static ice prices. and most places dont have stock on hand.

do your research first. static ice isnt research
