As far as whether the games are any good, I can personally vouch for Tropico, Magicka and Mount & Blade: With Fire And Sword, and the others are all rated highly as well (except perhaps Price World: Defenders).

    Are any of the DLCs necessary for a good experience with Magicka? There seems to be a lot of DLCs for that game.

      No. The base game on its own is a lot of fun, especially multiplayer (although single player is still good). And yes, there's a lot of DLC, most of it is cosmetic though.

      For a good review of Magicka, check out TotalBiscuit's video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_XP9OBWGKo. I think it does a great job of showing the capacity for ridiculousness (and fun), eg, trying to see if he can set himself on fire, discovering very quickly that he can, then dealing with 'oh shit oh shit I'm on fire' (see at about 9 minutes for that).

    For USD$2 it's absolutely worth it (IMO) for S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky, Mount & Blade: With Fire And Sword, System Shock 2 and even Deponia!

    Great price, I hated Magicka but I know it's good. Tropico is fantastic as is System Shock 2

    Deponia has nice visuals and gameplay is good if you like puzzle type games BUT the protagonist is so obnoxious and annoying he made me wanted to punch my screen.

    Hey guys newbie question.
    I have never really used steam but I am keen on tropico. Do I just end up getting a download file for it if I purchase this? Or how does it work with regards to playing them… if someone could explain that would be much appreciated :)

      This gives you a key. You have to download steam from steam, make an account then enter the key into steam to download. you can download it from steam as many times as you want In the future.

      You will need a steam account to redeem the game and you will do so within steam with a code that will be provided. That is unless bundle stars links to your steam account like humble bundle does - I've never used bundle stars.
      Once added to your steam account you'll be able to download the game from your game library in the steam application. It will install on your computer but you will need to have steam open to launch and play games. However, it will still work for offline play as steam has an offline mode when there isn't an internet connection active.

      FWIW, the times to beat are for the main story only. A lot of them will have side missions / extra stuff / DLC to extend them if you're interested.
