Wow, the regular price is 34.95? Didn't realize they've come down so much already.

@tightarse … You are so tightly loose now that we will not keep you tight lipped! Keep up the awesome work!

  • Awesome deal. TA, I Cant wait for the 9PM deal :)

  • Yes yes, I'm all over this. Thanks to TA and PCByte. These deals somehow feel better when personally orgainsed.

i remember this woman was a "rep" of another online retailer. what is that retailer's name? Mobilciti?

    • -1

Yeah, they combined with mechkb to form pcbyte.

    • +2

it was Memory City, but Francesca and Roland (the other PCByte rep who has since moved on) have parted me from my money on many occasions.

  • Still waiting for one I ordered from the last deal…Anyone know how long shipping usually takes.

    • +2

      Hi bbourizk,

We ship orders immediately the next business days.
Can you please drop me a PM?

      Cheers
      Francesca

    • I got mine 3 days ago!

  • +1

    Thanks.

I think 7/9 of my sd cards are from PC byte.

    • +2

      Were they all assimilated?

      • You must be a 40 year old nerd

  • Is this a good price

    • From the research I've done, it's the lowest delivered price yet.

      • Good deal, but I will be hanging out. If a 32gb card is 16 delivered its only slightly more per mb, and I don't see it being a problem for me until cards drop in price again significantly, at which point I will by a 64Gb card for 16 bucks and I will be like I got a 32gb card for 2 bucks at that stage. Tight I know.

        • +7

Yeah, I was also waiting to buy my first batch of cheap floppy disks, but they seem to be getting more expensive by the day…

        • @endotherm: wooosh. You cant honestly be suggesting that these cards aren't going to get cheaper?

        • @Jackson: Not at all, but not "significantly cheaper". The point I was making is you are approaching a state of diminishing returns, where the savings are less and less the longer you wait. Having it now surely outweighs waiting for it to get cheaper. Eventually everything does a 'U'-turn and gets more expensive as demand drops and production ceases. If you wait forever you risk missing out. Then again you might like the thrill of taking the risk and love playing the stock market.

        • @endotherm: I'm more of a managed fund person TBH

        • @endotherm: how long sonce the standard had changed? I had an mmc in 2000

  • Thanks TA.

The site is running slow as hell but when I finally got through to checkout and entered the discount, I received this: Coupon code "tightevo" is not valid.

    • +1

Just PM'd Francesca again. She's waiting for her main IT guy to get back to her, and they may do a server reboot when he does. Sorry about this, but I don't think they expected this much traffic.

      • All good mate!

Server pressure is to be expected when TA starts pointing people to your site :)

    • +1

      Hi ameno,

Sorry getting my guy to assist ASAP.

      Regards
      Francesca

      • Thanks for that Francesca, I'll keep an eye in here tonight for when things are back up and running :)

        • Thank you.

  • site not working, cant get to paypal page after order put in checkout.
Given the number of refreshes I am guessing the software monitoring stock level will crap itself soon if not already.

      Hi Guys,

We did a server migration last weekend.
My guys are looking into this as first priority, please allow us another 10 - 15 minutes.
We will have the site back soon. Sorry =(

      Regards
      Francesca

      • Hi Francesca,

I added this 64GB card and a 32GB card in the cart. Can these 2 be shipped together? Can't find a free shipping option. Thanks.

        • Hi zeroxp,

Free shipping is only available for the 64GB card.

          Cheers
          Francesca

  • So slow. Can't get through

  • +1

    Awesome price!

    Yep site is getting Ozbargained!

  • -7

What's all the excitement about? No specs given here so as an example $29.53 delivered is equally good… found in seconds.

    • +5

Must be a reason why the store is banned here? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/ecrater.com

And you created an account to post that comment? Are you affiliated?

      • +2

Good call. Everyone's jumping in so l guess the masses have spoken!

      • +4

Affiliated? Geez, that's a bit harsh. I didnt mean to offend. Recognize you have a good rep for saving people dosh.

        • +1

I didn't mean to offend either. Was just a little surprised with that first comment. All good :)

        • +2

OK. everyone hug now. I almost rage quit over 47 cents. It would need to be almost a dollar for me to estrange myself from you lot. :P

        • +2

@seamonkey: Had a good look around. Avoid eCrater. Looks like bad news. This is another tight deal. I'm onboard now! :)

        • +1

          @GoPies35:
We love you GoPies35. You rock. Only thing we don't tolerate here is a Collingwood supporter….but I am sure you wouldn't be one of those. :D

    • +2

So many things. Firstly this is 47 cents more expensive. What do you get for 47 cents? Look at the way TA and Francesca handle themselves time in time out. I can give a host of other reasons. Look at the right of the link you sent. HK. Now click on that 66.29% figure on the right of that screen and enjoy the read. Still think it is better?

    • +3

That's from HK with a seller rating of 66% and reviews saying fake

    • +2

umm, seller you listed has 67% positive feedback? By all means save your 47c and go with them, the rest if us will just get excited over a real deal.

Any 128gb deals in the horizon

    • +4

Tried to get it tonight, but no cigar. Stay tuned next week :)

  • +1

    Hi Tightarse, Francesca..
Hope you can create some magic and offer some nice deals on cf cards too ..

    Thanks

    • There are CF adapters out there that will accept a couple of micro SD cards.

Some of them let you chose a RAID setup for the SD cards so you can have redundancy, or stripe the data across both cards for super fast speeds.

      Example.
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dual-Slot-micro-SD-TF-Memory-Card…

I haven't used one myself, so I don't know what if any compatibility issues could arise.

  • I bought one of these in the previous deal and for some reason, it doesn't work in the audio recorder I need it for… Anyone know why that might be?

    • Maybe the audio recorder can only take up to 32GB. That what happen for my camera recorders.

SDHC - Support up to 32 GB
      SDXC - 64 GB +

      • +1

        That's incorrect.

Plenty of 8GB+ cards are SDXC, for example all the Samsung EVO cards are.

        • Thanks for the correction, all I know is that some older device only support up to SDHC.

        • SDHC is limited to 32GB and SDXC is limited to 2TB capacity. SDXC uses exFAT.

    • +2

Check what file system is on a card that works with your recorder and, then see what filesystem the Samsung EVO card is set to.

Chances are that if they are not the same, then if you reformat the card to the right filesystem then it will work.

      • Wikipedia says "In January 2009, the SDA announced the SDXC family, which supports cards up to 2 TB and speeds up to 300 MB/s. It features mandatory support for the exFAT filesystem."

So all SDXC cards will be formatted as exFAT, while SDHC cards are all FAT32 (mandatory too).

  • +1

Jesus.. is this the same card that goodguys has for $97??

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-evo-64gb-microsd-memor…

    • +1

Yes, hence why I never purchase SD card in-store.

    • +1

Retail stores selling expensive memory cards? Who would have thought?

    • Don't look at the "normal" price of Eneloops at Dick Smith, you'll have a heart attack.

      • Haha. Lol. Normal price eneloops amongst ozbargainer? The sale person must have also been selling ice to eskimos, and sands to the egyptian.

  • Ok, for a $5-10 saving I have given up enough time online, life is too short. Good luck to those who keep trying.

    • +2

Thnx. I just moved up the queue.

  • +1

LOL, I am now stuck at checkout again! TA, find Francesca a deal on decent hosting.

  • Finally got through, order placed.

  • yes I am close to quitting too - 4th time lucky?. Site is either being smashed or is having a really bad day

  • Can it be used with MacBook?

    • +1

I have one plugged into my Macbook Air right now.
