Might want to add 28th/29th November (Sat/Sun).
And is the deal that if you buy 2 wiper blades then the wash is only $5 or do you get all 3 items for only $5? The wording makes it seem like you get all 3 items which would be a really good deal!

    • Deal is available 28th and 29th.
Click on the pic above… it says combined for all items is $5

  • Might want to mention SuperCheap, not everyone knows them as SCA

  • Just in time! Thanks OP

  • how do I apply to become member and how lond does it take? please dont say by monday

    • +1

You can join in-store, costs $10, comes with $10 store credit

  • +3

Join SCA club and get it becomes free + $5 credit for future spending.

    • doesn't the club membership cost $5?

      • +3

What he means is: you will still spend the $5 for membership, use $5 of $10 credit to buy the deal above and will end up having $5 credit for future spending.

  • hows the quality of the SCA blades compared to more expensive brands?

    • +1

for $5 do you really care for the quality?

      • +12

In the words of Gerry Harvey "treat every dollar as if its your last… even if you are a billionaire" - so yes, for $5 I expect German Quality with Japanese Precision.

In all seriousness, its a fair question because their normal price is comparable to other brands. Think a harder rather than giving an internet-troll-tough-man-bogan question to a question answer.

        • +1

No wonder Hardly Normal's "sales" alway seemed to be a joke.

        • +1

That doesn't seem like a worthwhile strategy for a billionaire.

Besides, he spends a fortune on race horses and boats and sponsorship and art and wine - so it is probably just passing words to make a billionaire, like himself, feel better. But in no way does he follow this advice himself.

Cannot agree. Consider you still invest your time on travel and installation, you do want decent outcome.

By the way I bought a pair a couple of months ago and found the quality not very good. I noticed the water streaks very soon.

  • is there a limit per customer ?

    • Just purchased 3 x in one transaction. So doesn't seem to be a limit.

  • Do people usually bother with windscreen wash or just use dishwashing detergent?

    • +1

splash of windex works an absolute treat!

      • Windex into the windscreen washer tank?

        • +3

Windex on the car paint doesn't seem like a good idea..

        • yeah, just a bit into the tank.
Been doing to for years with not a single imperfection on the paint

        • Don't use the entire bottle though.

Use a small amount and dilute it down with water. It flows better and doesn't get soapie.

        • @camoqs:
well lit pics? lol. That's probably quite subjective.

    • +2

Use the wash. detergent will strip your wax from your roof, boot, anywhere else the windscreen fluid reaches.

    • +1

washer fluid = water, methanol, maybe ethylene glycol and dye.

These ingredients are "bad" for paint if you believe everything you read.

But with the magic of marketing and familiar logos these same ingredients are demanded, anything else will damage your paint! "It must say "auto" on the bottle!"

Bottom line, it is really up to you.

    • +1

Does dishwashing detergent keeps water from freezing in the winter?

  • Are they just the actual rubbers only, or the replacement one piece holder as well?

    • +1

      Rubber only

  • Are there any major disadvantages of using the SCA blades as opposed to what Ford gives for $80; they wanted to replace and I opted to DIY, so good timing

    • Could be rubber vs silicone (ford), silicone last longer but definitely not worth $80. But if you plan to put the refill in a modern flexible wiper arms, you are in for a treat, it might not fit. Most of SCA refills are for the older metal wiper arms i think. DYOR. Check catalogue instore, ask staff for help.

  • No good for me, I need all-in-one wiper replacements :-(

  • Can't really seem to find a SCA pair for my 2006 Yaris hatch :( Tried searching using the SCA website filter and it resulted a non-SCA brand Tridon, :( Does this mean this deal is no good for my car?

  • Should be standard single, double blades, cut the excess off to suit your car.
Take in the old ones off your car and go in store to see if they're the standard type or they in stock blades that match.

  • Good timing, my washer bottle went empty yesterday.

    • You know you can just fill it with water, right?

      • yes, sarcasm detector has failed for you. I do need wiper blades though.

        • +1

Don't lie, you weren't being sarcastic.

  • I wonder if getting this deal constitute as purchasing 3 items in the one transaction?

It will mean you're automatically qualify to enter into their Harley comp!

  • FYI I purchased this deal x 3 in one transaction at SCA today. Went through no problems at all.

    Thanks!

  • The windscreen wash concentrate smells a bit odd to me after using it.

    • +1

Did it smell fine before usage?

      • I thought the windscreen wash is odorless but after using it, the car smelled funny for a short period of time.

  • Anyone managed to receive this deal?

    • +1

I did. The item price is updated to $3 and $2 each ($5 total) after they scan the membership card.

  • I bought it online, and picked it up about an hour later.

  • wish they had the wide in 24"…. that's what she…
