No Surprises

    I signed up for their Apollo 10 on similar 50% discount couple of months ago. Its good that they are clarifying how the billing work as they had a big issue on their billing system that the discount never got applied first time. They did issue credit straight away but it was annoying as it wasn't obvious what was going on. At least now they are letting everyone know upfront that they will be charged full amount the first time.
    I have been fairly happy with their service. The monthly statements are really confusing. Beware that their customer service is via emails only. Some people might have issue with that as you sometimes have to wait couple of days for a response.
    You are saving a lot of money with these guys.

    So, can I use that $750 worth of credit on mobile data also? It says data is 45c/MB, but not whether it comes from your quota or not. Also, what is the minimum data charge? Is any 5kB session charged at 45c?

    ISIM has been bought out by Virgin Mobile and will be discontinued shortly. I used to be an ISIM user but ported out to JustMobile for this reason. It's a pity because ISIM was pretty good for the casual user.

    They announced this too late. Everyone I know who was on ISIM has already ported away. I would have been interested but I already ported to the TPG pay as you go plan.

    so what happens to the plan after Virgin Mobile takes over? Will the customers be forced on to new plans?

    I'm still with iSim - but I was going to port to Kiss (www.kiss.com.au) once my remaining credit runs out (sometime in the next week or so). I'll have to do my homework on this deal - but I still prefer offers which are more 'honest' about their pricing structures (iSim, Kiss) than those that offer HUGE caps, extravagant charging regimes and general opacity. Grrr…
