Have been a regular customer of COTD since they started and I am amazed I did not receive this INVITE…without this link there is nowhere on their site to see this deal! How did you come across this one?

Was thinking of joining freestuff…

You want to give me your ID so that you can earn some points? :)

I like it how it says “$0.00(including GST)+ shipping” and also shows a shipping cost of 0.00 on the first page but then trys to charge me $6 for shipping when I proceed to checkout.

Not free.

They just changed it. If you open the “click here” link it now shows shipping charges.

[X]

$6 freebie?

[X]

Those freebies look remarkably similar to those offered by Daily Deals. Oh wait, they are the same company…

[X]

it’s the same deal as the link in the Daily Deals now sends you to the COTD website…

dailydeals are the same people as catchoftheday if you didn’t know already

They’re based here in Victoria and even have a shop front somewhere on the other side of the city.

Also I think it’s fair that they have shipping. The item cost is $0.00, which could be comparable to a shop giving away free stuff. It’s just that at the real shops, you have to drive over there, spend money on a car and petrol, and spend effort on getting there.

They just charge you for the shipping at dailydeals, which is completely reasonable.

Is this an instance where the saying “You can’t have your cake and eat it too” applies?

I was told by them that they are not the same company.

COTD are supposed to send me an item that was missing from one of my orders, they said they would send it next time I ordered somthing else from them. I just ordered an item from Daily Deals and asked COTD if they can ship my pending missing item with my Daily Deals order but was told:

“Unfortunately not as we are 2 separate entities. Kind Regards, Captain Catch & the Customer Service Crew”

wow really? they seem to be working together in some way, you can’t deny that

Go to the About Us page on Catch Of the Day:

http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/about_us.php

Now scroll all the way down where there is an image of shop front, and what does the sign on the shop say :) I think yes they are two different business entities with different work flow, but they are certainly and definitely run by the same people.

go to http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/about_us.php and http://www.dailydeals.com.au/contact_us.php. both are owned and operated by Shop Closeouts (ABN 26 922 172 560) 2215 Dandenong Road, Mulgrave, Victoria 3170, Australia
