FIFA world cup is based on FIFA 10 but with WC makeover. The controls interface is slightly tweaked, though it feels more casual since it tells you when you can make through pass and stuffs instead of giving you the freedom to do it whenever you want (even if it fails).
The spectators are now 3D (actually uglier).
Overall they're very similar, just with different flavour.

QQQ - CatchOfTheDay on 23/06/2010 - 21:57 ¶Great find to with my k-mart cheapie itunes vouchers.
Wonder if they will make us pay/upgrade for iPhone 4G versions, like with iPad.
Bargain Seeker on 23/06/2010 - 23:07 ¶They won't. They do massive sales to rocket up their popularity and the whole supply demand thing means they bring in more $$. People buy as they know it's temporary. SO 1000s of people buy an app they may not use because it's cheap. This thread is a perfect example of this. I did it too.
However it's the same version that you bought for $1.19 that I bought for $9.99 a while ago and therefore we won't be slung with extra costs.
QQQ - CatchOfTheDay on 23/06/2010 - 23:44 ¶The iPad is an iPhone with higher resolution. I can't excuse it :D
In the end consumers vote with their wallets.
I voted with mine.
Didn't buy a single thing until cheap iTunes vouchers came out.
Even then, only bought Reeder. Nothing else is good value.
Snapped up a few of these EA titles, because they have always been $10 and seemingly popular, the chance of playing these on the native retina display resolution and paying only $1.19? Slim. But worth hoping for!
