Buy 130 Nespresso Capsules, Get 20 Free $88.40 (Combine with AmEx Cashback = $68.40 Delivered = 45.6c Each) @ Nespresso

670

Note this is only targeted online - anyone can do this deal in store or on the phone.

Nespresso is also doing 10 free ristretto + 10 free volluto capsules added on top of orders of exactly 130 capsules until 1/1/17.

Combine with the other two deals:

So for $88.40 you get 150 capsules - $20 AMEX cashback = $68.40, or 45.6c per capsule which is cheap for genuine Nespresso capsules.

Note that there is also another deal where you buy 90 capsules and get 10 free if you don't want as many, but that won't hit the AMEX cashback amount. You may have to phone up to get this free capsule deal if it isn't available to you online, as the addendum below.

C

ADDENDUM: looks like it is targeted online. I personally can order 90 and get 10 free, or order 130 and get 20 free. If I enter 260 I don't get 40 free though or 160 I don't get 40 free, so it seems only certain offers are available for certain people - apologies if I've wasted anyone's time. That being said multiple people have had success just calling up and getting the deal put through.

New member sign up incentive it looks like - doesn't work for us olden days folks, but great spot.

    • +2

Doesn't look like you can combine the new member offer and this 20 free capsules offer together.

      • I was ordering the welcome pack over the phone and the CS rep told me about the free capsule offer.

        • Maybe it will work for everyone in store or via phone if you ask about the offer.

          C

    • I can't find any offers to sign up as a new member, link from google search gives me an empty nespresso page: https://www.nespresso.com/au/en/welcomeOffer

    • Those gifts are not expensive to buy, so don't be tempted by them.

I don't like Lungos, and unfortunately all 3 packs contain various pods which include Lungos.

  • +1

Note that $88.40 depends on the type of capsules you choose.
Can be up to $120.90 minus Amex cashback.

    • Yeap - and you can also order 10,000 capsules and you only get $20 back. Its all about the arpeggio anyway!

  • can someone please tell me how they are ordering 130 capsules? I seem to only be able to order in multiples of 50 online

    • Just add 130 and the other 20 will auto add into your cart.

      • it seems the deal at that level might be targeted? I can get deals for order 260 get 40 free or order 350 get 50 free. Maybe we have just been ordering too much coffee…

        • +2

i had to call them as i had the same trouble you described. Had 130 in the cart but it wouldnt let me process as it wasnt a multiple of 50. called up to complete the order

        • @I like bacon: Thanks for pointing this out - this means even though the deal is targeted online, it is available to everyone with a phone call! Good spot

        • @DrC: No worries. Always good to stack multiple offers. Shame I couldn't complete online or CR would've been in play too haha

    cash rewards

edit: mine says 220 capsules for 30 bonus

    • "Please note: Cashback is not payable when capsules are purchased on their own. A machine or accessory must be purchased in the same basket to be eligible for cashback."

      • +1

I'm going to give it a go anyway, sometimes these special Ts n Cs aren't always applied.

      • +2

I contacted them (Cashrewards) regarding this 2 weeks ago to find out if the $7 sugar counts as its in the accessory category, the reply was that yes anything from the accessory category.
I have tried it, will take a few months before I know if its successful or not. Also didn't track automatically which doesn't help.

  • Mine was 160 get 40 free.

    • I got ripped off. Mine was 220 get 30 free. I have to buy more than you and get fewer free than you.

  • Thanks OP. 130 capsules with 20 free just now.

  • +1

HOW DO I ORDER 130 CAPSULES TO GET 20 FREE OFFER? DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO ORDER 130.ASKING TO BUY 150.00 INSTEAD

    • +1

      Just type in 130

      • Please see below error message

"To validate your basket, your order should consist of a minimum 50 capsules and be in multiples of 50 (i.e. 50, 100, 150, etc.). You can mix the variety of capsules as you choose, as long as the total number is a multiple of 50. Please add 20 capsules in your basket below or return to the shop to add other varieties. "

    • Im not the only one not able to get this promo. So pretty sure its targeted.

I tried to add 130 Arpeggio and no signs of 20 capsules free when I go to basket details unfortunately.

      • same thing happened to me.

        • Sorry team, didn't realise the deals were different for different people, seeing as more than one of these combos works for both myself and my partner. You can apparently phone up to get the deal if it isn't automatically offered to you.

          C

  • My email offers says buy 14 sleeves get 2 sleeves free - which i assume means buy 140 capsules, get 20 free? Still - thanks for the spot though OP

  • I have just registered.

    Discovery Selection 150 capsules $99
    Morning Selection 150 capsules $99

Plus a gift. Cannot choose capsules. Not $88.4…..

  • +1

Buy 350 get 50 free is my offer.

  • my offer was:
Purchase a minimum of 26 sleeves to receive 4 complimentary sleeves.
I did combine it with the Amex offer.
    Total $184.30-$20 = $164.30 (54c per capsule)

    • If you have two amex cards, split payment and you'll get another $20 credit from amex. Your pods will work out to 48c each.

      • Can you split payment online? How?

      • do the Amex offers extend to secondary card holders?

        • AMEX issued supps can enroll separately and both get the offer.

  • Anyone have a code they can share? Apparently these are multiple use and can be shared with family and friends?

    • +2

they're not codes. they're attached to your nespresso account

  • +1

Guys/girls, try add 130 pods to your account regardless of what the banner says.
My offer was 90 pods, get 10 free.
Added 130, and still got the extra 20 pods

    • I added 130 but didn't let me. Lowest I've got is the 260/40 deal, also have the 350/50 deal showing.. so maybe you get everything above your lowest offer.

    • Mine was the same - buy 90, get 10 free. My partners was buy 130 get 20 free.

Both of them work for both of our accounts though, so sorry if it isn't working for some - given that both combinations worked for both our accounts I assumed it was for all members.

Hopefully it is at least useful for some of you. Try phoning if you don't get it offered automatically.

      C

    • Same here - I had the 90 get 10 free offer, but put 130 in the cart and got the extra 20 added automatically.

  • Can I descale my machine using any descaler from the supermarket or does it have to be Nespresso's descaler?

    • You can make your own descaler or try other brands, but many will recommend using Nespresso brand only. This is certainly the more expensive option.

  • How do you know if you've been targeted or not? I still have the welcome offer of 150 caps and a free gift for $99 or 250 caps and a gift for $175. I never took up the offer since it's so expensive (the 250 caps cost more than my machine) so it's still there. I'm not seeing the 20 free caps deal.

Do I have to have taken the welcome offer to see the next offer? Or do some people just not get the offer at all?

Before logging in, I see a banner saying login to get the new festive offer.

I log in but don't see it. I'm only seeing the welcome offer.

    • +1

If you add 130 to your cart and look at it and the number says 150 it works for you - otherwise phone them up to get the deal.

      C

  • -3

    shit deal really

spend over $80 to get $13 in value.

    • Totally agree, overpriced half size capsules, better alternatives.

      • Just acquired my first nespresso on recent cashback deals. Any recommendations?

  • Do Nespresso boutiques have a price match policy?

    • I don't think anyone else sells their pods.. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Who would they be price matching?

      • +1

they also sell the coffee machines

        • ah, of course.

  • +1

In store they told me the offer is: buy:
    - 8 sleeves get 1 free
    - 14 sleeves get 2 free
    - 20 sleeves get 3 free
    - 26 sleeves get 4 free

I am not sure why there are so many different permutations of buying x get x free posted, and frankly speaking quite confused. But the above is the info I got from Nespresso rep at the Westfield Southland store when I popped in a couple of hours ago.

    • So only targeted online - can do it in store or on the phone.

      C

    • yeah i went in store andi think i was told similar, i thought it was 10 sleeves not 8 for 1 free but i bought i think 14 as well to get 2 free? Or thereabouts? Basically i needed to reach the amex offer, but ended up buying more becuase i got the 2nd sleeve free. haha con job to buy you more, but at least i'm set for the next year -come at me 2017!

  • +1

Confirmed you can buy 130 and get 10 free ristretto + 10 free volluto by calling them on 1800 number

Works with brand new nespresso account opened today.

    • This needs to be unmarked as targeted if everyone can do it.

    • Was the call center american?

Because I got an american woman. And the call quality was poor with a lot of noise. I'm guessing it was routed internationally? If so, Nespresso are really sparing no expense getting a US call center to handle Aussie calls. And it's a 24/7 1800 number too. I'd have imagined sooner or later they'll send those jobs to the Philippines.

  • just called them see if they can combine the new member offer together with this offer but they could not do it.

  • +1

I went in store at Emporium Melbourne and as a new customer I was able to sign up and get the $99 welcome pack of a 15 sleeve box valued at $110 + a free gift valued $29-$35. And then I also received two extra sleeves since I bought over 14. Combined with the $20 Amex cashback I received ~$160 of things for $79. Good haul!

    • Hah - solid work. You should have got them to deliver them for free to prove that you are the Lord of the Nespressozbargains

    • Tell you a secret.. that $35 gift is worth nowhere near the $35 they charge for it. It looks like you got good value, but it's just a glass bowl or two glass cups with saucers. If you look around, you'll find alternatives much cheaper.

  • +1

Just bought 130 + 20 complimentary capsules over the phone. AmEx email received instantly!

  • +1

Thanks, picked up 150 total. Amex email received!

  • +1

I went in store. I ended up buying Morning Welcome Pack with 150 capsules, an extra 70 and got 30 free plus a descaling kit ($16) for a total of $163, then I split it onto two AMEX cards for $40 cashback. If you go in store you get to choose which 30 pods you get.

He only needed me to buy an extra 50 pods to get 30 caps free even though my offer said I needed to buy 70 extra. Or I could get 20 free just with the welcome pack. The bonus is, you get to choose which pods you want instead of the ones they give you. But they have to be the cheapest ones I think. But there is a large range in that price bracket.

My pods came out to be an average of 42.8 cents each, or about $4.28 per sleeve of 10. That compares well to supermarket pods when they're on special.

I'm happy with that, but I don't see myself going back until there's another AMEX deal and free pods at the same time.

Going in store is better than online. They're more flexible. I tried to order over the phone and they refused to give free pods with the welcome pack.

    • You win the final Nespressozbargain award for fiscal innovation fo shizzle.

  • Works out around $90 per kg!

    Or

Grab a pack of podista pods (as u can reset the bottom of a podista pod vs Nespresso pods which get pierced by the machine). Buy a kg of Vittoria coffee on special for $15 per kg and Alfoil.

At 5g per pod, that is 200 pods for $15 plus Alfoil and a little pfa (environment says thanks as well).

    • That's the ozbargain way of doing it.
