Why can’t A+R have deals like this.

Got a $50 voucher left that I haven’t touched in 6 months because they’re so expensive compared to importing.

Least if they had deals like this I wouldn’t mind getting less value from the $50.

They have 20% + free shipping reasonably regularly (about 3-4 times a year). Keep an eye out
Last one was June - http://bit.ly/bpoMgQ

I wonder if the price matching includes Book Depository, I bet it doesnt :(

Cripto on 20/07/2010 - 23:09 ¶

Yeah i wondered that too, most probably not, they just can’t match BD even with free shipping.

nope…..just amazon.com…..

We are so confident that our pricing is competitive with Amazon.com that if you purchase a book from borders.com.au and then find it listed on Amazon.com for a lower price (including shipping costs to an Australian address) then we’ll refund the difference plus 10%!! See here for terms and conditions

No. I called. It only applies to amazon.com + shipping and you can’t use the free shipping promo.

While the Book Depository will always be a winner, the 30% off is great for those Australian books that the Book Depository can’t supply e.g. Popular Penguins. Thumbs up from me!

Coupon ends 25 July 2010. That is what it says on my order receipt anyway.

Anybody knows how the price matching works? What are the chances of them using some lam excuse to not refund the difference? Thinking of getting the Dragon Ball Z collection set which is only around $150 in Amazon and $300+ in Borders.

Make sure they are both exactly the same items, then read the terms and conditions for the price matching. Also, make sure you factor in shipping costs and conversion to Australian dollar from Amazon.

If everything is fine, get some screenshots of the deal.
I wouldn’t open it though until you get the price matching refund, if they won’t honour it just demand a refund of the whole item.
