          i reckon the more you spent on ebay, the less likely they will give you voucher/discount, simply because you would be spending on the site without discounts.

          Perhaps those users who saved a few items in their watchlists but never pulled the triggers, they will be getting a boost and decide to buy given a larger discount by Ebay.

        No love for me on my main buying account. Then again I abused the Customer Service team (about T&S not acting on my Duplicate Listings reports) few weeks back, so they might still be cranky with me.

        I will have to check all my other IDs later today, see if anything there. They seem to give the best vouchers to inactive accounts, especially if you have more than one ID there.

      Open another ID - you only need a different email address, but everything else should be genuine (ie: don't lie about name, birthday, address, etc - that way you can use the ID later for selling without problems).

      You'll probably find that the less active ID will get more love.

        Plus one for this. I set up a couple of new accounts in the last 6ish weeks. So far have got a 20% off no min spend, a $10 off min spend $30 and a 10% off min spend $50.
        If I need to buy something and I'm not in a rush I'm opening a new account and waiting for a few weeks for email offers.

          It's not so much "checking them" or "logging in" that matters - it's usually when you don't respond to requests for details like birthday, etc.

          I lost a bunch of "anonymous" accounts (ie: some details faked) because I was unable to verify my address, name, date of birth, etc. Since I never replied, they killed off the IDs.

          The idea here of having alternative IDs is not to leave them dormant… it's to get the discount codes and USE them. Hence the alternative IDs will periodically get checked, logged into and purchased from.
