it's a young rum and not great for drinking neat - better for mixers and those who prefer jager

I have mixed it with Coke and still taste so so, nothing special.
The whole point of buying this is to get drunk and dramatically command "Release the Kraken!" every time you open the bottle and pour.
I make a drink I call Stormii's Cuba Libre. It is a Cuba Libre with Ginger Beer.
1 shot Kraken
2-3 drops lemon juice
2-3 drops lime juice
2-3 drops bitters
Fill glass with Kirks Ginger Beer

First you release the Kraken…then you stumble into the bathroom and release it again.
first choice has it on special as well. Advertised for $50, they price match and beat it by 5c so it would be $49.90 there.
It's usually a price best from DM's. I wait for them though then you can use cash rewards and discounted wish cards.
I really enjoy it on the rocks. Have never been a rum fan until I tried it, for me there is no overpowering sweetness that I have found in a lot of rums.
You would probably like Deadhead(edit) and Jerry Sailor too, when you can find a bottle of Jerry in the tube, it comes with a great old-timey pin-up poster.
Well kept secret is the "Buckeye" rums @ $30 a bottle!!!!!
