    • thanks for this one, I had to place a small order for a 'back in stock' just then and this saved me $10. :)

    and cashrewards…

    • +1

At the last 50% off sale last year Cash Rewards calculated their cashback on the full amount, rather than the 50% off actual sale price. Bonus cashback :-)

      • Do you need to go through the New Balance link on cash rewards to get the rebate? Or can you just be logged in to Cash Rewards on the browser.

        • -1

I guess both would work. When I last purchased shoes from New Balance the browser tool wasn't available so I just used the CR web site.

        • +1

@Cluster: The sale didn't register on Cashrewards. Maybe because I was using firefox? pretty pissed.

        • @joeno: I don't think I've ever had NB purchases register on Cashrewards and I use Chrome. I thought it was just me…

        • @joeno: CR doesn't immediately register sales. It may take a week or two. Also if you followed CR's rules and didn't have ad blocking software, etc, you can go to their support page and put in your claim manually.

PS - the negative vote is pretty petty

        • @Cluster: I didn't neg you. Just saying that I've never received CR for my NB transactions. I don't know the reason for that - perhaps it's my Chrome popup blocker extension.

    and credit card point

  • First time orders can get 20% off, might have to look into it though.

    code is " NBMEMBER2017 "

    • +1

Only works on full priced item, everything in this is considered clearance.

  • No 998 or 999 :(

  • Thanks. Going to have to do the 'try on at rebel sport, buy online' trick

Edit: Actually, what's their returns policy like for if the shoes don't fit?

    • from my last order, pretty sure if your size 10, u get a size 10.5 , as my toes hit the roof on 10

      • that really depends on which style you are going for..

but i had to return a pair, no problem with their returns BUT when you return it, call them up a few days later (after the tracking confirms delivery to their warehouse) and they'll process it for you straightaway

      • Depends very much on the shoe, size 11 990V4 was big but 1080 size 11 was perfect.

    • +4

Return policy is pretty good, had no issues with the return the last time I bought something that didn't fit.
Took a couple of weeks to get a refund though.

    • I was able to go to a physical store and do a swap for the right size. Just be careful that clearance items may not be stocked in stores in which case you have to post it back.

    • not sure about shoes, but I bought a pair of leggings from the Nov 2016 50% sale. I only wore them recently because it started to get cold and the seams began to fray around the crotch area. they offered a refund no questions asked

  • NBMEMBER2017 doesn't seem to be working

  • I've tried on some Nb shoes prior and it was going to be my top pick but I didn't see any coupons so I had to make do with the click frenzy event instead.

  • +1

I have a nutcracker fracture of my right cuboid. Compound fracture, happened 3 years ago.
I want to get into jogging, more to tire my dog out than anything. I'd be running on gravel mostly.
Can anyone suggest a shoe for a complete newb, with a permanently shattered midfoot? Or should I not aggravate the injury more and stick to walking?
…actually, writing this out doesn't make it seem like a good idea… Hmm… Maybe a cheap shoe to see whether I can do it?

    • -4

Yep, a good pair of thongs should do the trick. Not sure New Balance make them though to get a discount.

    • I'd suggest getting some Adidas ultra boosts, they're the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned (I have 3 pairs). They're super durable and have a cushioned sole so it would be good for your broken foot. Bit pricey but definitely worth the money, check out the site wiggle, they often have sales on ultra boosts. In terms of NB, the boracays are quite good too but probably won't last as long.

    • +3

Sounds like something worth seeing a podiatrist or physio about imo. I wouldn't just write the idea off, but I wouldnt buy a cheapie and assume that because it was ok for the first couple of goes that it will be ok with continued running.

      • The surgeon charges like a wounded bull, but did say it will need to be fused eventually.
I will talk to my gp when I see him in a few weeks about another referral.
I think you're right- I shouldn't jump into it (jumping hurts)

        • What about bike riding instead :p

        • @embler:
I was going to try that actually. But I am not sure the dog would appreciate it. Maybe I could get a bike with one of those little trailers you put kids in? I could get the dog some goggles and a scarf. Ha!
But yes, a bike is on my list of things to buy

  • Has anyone tried the NB Accelerate Tight or the Impact Tight? Are they any good?

Where can I get a good set of compression pants or tights?

    • +3

Note that "tights" and "compression" are very different terms. Tights are typically thicker and provide more warmth. Compressions are your typical skins or 2XU-type materials that cost more.

    • I bought the impact ones. Was after compression ones the 2XU-type material.

  • +6

I should stop going on Ozbargain…

  • Saves about $15 on a pair of Boracay V3…

  • Could anyone recommend a shoe to run 14 kms on the road (City2Surf)?

    • depending on what is your foot type? Neutral, over or under pronate?

      • Neutral I guess. I don't usually run that far. I want these shoes to last 1 or 2 training runs a week through to the race in August without destroying my feet.

        • My personal preference - Adidas boost. I dont usually run that far, usually a few KMs a week. But I feel good in them.

        • +4

Go for cushioning shoes. Fresh foam Zante V2 or 1080

        • @netbies: This is the one case I wouldn't actually recommend boost. While they are comfortable, there are better options for running. FOr example; Asics Kayano, most things from brooks, etc.

        • @Dingus:

Well, I wore Asics and Nike before. Initially when boost first came out, I was thinking it looks like Styrofoam, can you really run with it? But I decided to give it a try as when I try it on, it was very comfortable at the top - I tried the pureboost primekit. And when I wore it to run, I can tell it does help to keep me running longer than with other brands. (To be honest, I am not a professional runner, however I do run regularly and understand my limits. The adidas pureboost does change my perception on the boost material.)

Of course, there are other models which I haven't tried myself. But I do have an ultraboost and sequence, they do feel comfortable when wearing them. However, they have a different material for the bottom - made with continental rubber, which I feel have a harder feeling than the pureboost when running.

I do agree the choice is very subjective and really depend on many factors, e.g. body size, foot shape, weight…etc.

          I just making a suggestion though. :-)

No offence, no hard feelings…. :P

        • @netbies: Fair enough different strokes for different folks. I used to use my ultras for running all the time (about 10km per week), but they wore down way too quick for the price and I feel like the support of my asics suit me better.

I do love boost (7 pairs of ultras, and 2 pairs of nmds) I just feel there are better options. But all depends on if he needs support / hard bottom things like that. Should go try some on.

No hard feelings at all :P

    • +3

      meh, just wear sandals

      • Agree. LOL

  • +1

lol, got excited when I saw the coupon in the main post - thought it was another 50% off the already 50% price.
Will grab a pair anyway :-) thanks

  • Got to be happy with a new pair of NB kicks for ~$37.50 (Original RRP $160).

Now I'm off to buy Colin McRae Rally for 20 cents. Any Cashrewards on this??

    • Which one's were $37.50?

Edit: I didn't realise that clicking "See all shoes" under men's wouldn't show all the shoes lol. There's a separate section for clearance item's with 50% off the already reduced price - discovered this after my order! lucky there was nothing of interest to me :)

  • Got this kids one:

    http://www.newbalance.com.au/pd/new-balance-790v6/KJ790Y-V6G…

    Great deal OP, thanks.

  • it's quite a shame that they dont stock any futsal boots though …

    • Bought some futsal boots last time a 50% code showed up on ozbargain. Shame there are none available this time round.

  • What are your opinions on this?

    http://www.newbalance.com.au/pd/vazee-rush-suede/MLRUSH.html…

Not available in anywhere near my size. 😔

    • Not quite my style however I always try to avoid suede now as once it is dishevelled its really hard to make the shoe look as nice as it once did.

      • True, but these are already tan…

        • if you like em, get em! Call the new balance store to see if they have it in your size, or they might order it in for you

Someone here bought the last pair of hook and loop infant shoes which I had in my cart… DAMN YOU! :)

    • +1

      pink 574 size 4? sorry :(

  • are displayed price on website including the discount already? or is there a futher 50% off on top?

    • Prices showing on the site will be after the 50% discount.

    • include

  • You can get much cheaper prices on COTD, obviously the range is limited

    • Thanks for the tip. The quality of shoe I bought from NB is far superior, and was cheaper.

      • +1

I have bought multiple NB shoes for 30-35 dollars at COTD, quality has been fine

  • Anyone know a decent shoe for gym? Mostly weights, bit of cardio.

    • For weights, you want something with a thin sole, i.e not running shoes

      • +1

Although an exception is squats where if you have trouble getting down low enough having a bit of a heel will help.

    • I just ordered a pair of these 420 Re-Engineered for the gym. All black is very in atm!

Can't comment on them yet, but i found some good reviews online. And only $65 delivered :)

I like how they're sporty enough to wear at the gym/with sports clothes. But smart/subtle enough to wear out somewhere that isn't too formal.

      • +1

Same, I ordered the black vazees as well from the bupa deal

        • Ahh nice, are they any good? I was looking at those too but decided to go with the 420's.

        • @JimmyLmao: oh yeah, they're my first pair of NBs but I had to get the black on black with the 420s

  • All my running shoes have been Nikes.
Can someone tell me if New Balance has good running shoes?

    • I was in the same predicament till I got NB. They do have good running shoes, I got the fresh foam Cruz and they're really comfy.

      • Thanks, I am going to Rebel to try some on after work.

    • I always wore Nike racing flats and recently switched to NB. Have a pair of Fresh Foam Zante and Vazee Rush runners.

Both shoes are comfortable and look like they will give me good mileage. I went half size up on the Zante but TTS on the Vazee.

They have different heel-toe offsets so good idea to try a pair and see which suits your style best.

For the money you can't go wrong.

      • I ordered a pair of the Fresh Foam Cruz as I'm sick of buying Nike Fly Knits that literally unknit on my feet. Will be putting a good amount of kilometers on them so ask me again in a few months :)

        • Did you have to go up one size?
I run a lot too. Have wider toe and have been using the Altras. They have started getting too uncomfortable and I was looking for new balance as my previous ones were all new balance and very comfy.
Do you recommended fresh foam Cruz over the Zante v3?

        • @dreamz: Hey, they just arrived yesterday and I got the 10.5 as I that size in Nikes and they seem to fit perfectly for me. I haven't taken them out for a run yet. Some people seem to complain about the white sole but I'm using them for running so I'm not too fussed about it.

  • Casual/walking shoes any good? And how is their sizing? Is a 10 here equivalent to a 10US Vans?

    • I can vouch for the 247s. Real comfy. Also I wear the same size in them as I do Vans.

  • +1

never used to wear new balance until these deals

    Thanks OzB

  • Thanks so much for alerting us to this deal. I have been wearing NB shoes for work for 5+ years now (supposed to wear business shoes but there's a particular NB shoe that can pass for a business shoe…. YET it's much more comfortable). With all of the walking around I do each day, they do tend to wear out over a few months. My current pair have needed replacing since February (the padding was wearing out around the ankle). This past week the inner sole of one shoe finally disintegrated (basically no sole left at the ball of the foot - have blisters as a result lol). I've been going to Rebel Sport, Athletes Foot etc to replace them (did get a pair from a NB outlet as well). Should just stock up when NB have sales haha.

    • +3

Could you please share which particular model of NB shoes you normally get to pass for business shoes? Thanks in adavance.

      • -1

Pretty sure I know which model it is. Steve Jobs wears it to his office daily and Barrack Obama has a personalized set.

      • +1

I wear black 624s to work. But prolly doesn't pass for a business shoe.

        • They are the shoe I was referring to, they are not business shoes by design but they are black which makes it easy to blend in (the variations of the shoe I've had over the years include grey writing of NB or new balance on the tongue, to black writing making it less obvious of the type of shoe they are). I also owned a pair that were glossy - had a very distinct shine on them (I figured they were OLDER versions of that shoe that a certain shop hadn't been able to sell).

I've worn them while working for a council, a government department office and a tax business. Some places that are more strict on what you wear to work said nothing.

They are a pretty decent design, mileage may vary in terms of how long they last (over a year, just under a year). Any shoe I wear tends to wear out around the ankle first (the padding fray's) and most of the time it's typically my right foot… even though my left is the more dominant. Sometimes I will wear the soles out (as was the case in the current pair - the left shoe's sole had worn out near the toes).

          awaits to be negged :-/

Bonus 6.4% cashback from cash rewards

  • Thanks my son needed new white sport shoes for school.

  • Anyone know what store/s stock the men's 'Lifestyle' range of shoes so I can try before buying?

  • It really sucks to have big feet and also flat feet. I'm currently wearing a pair of NB from the last deal, it's nice but it's not as comfortable as I expected them to be.

    • Are they standard width?

      • I think so, I have flat, big and wide feet, it's like 3 of the worse combinations. But it definitely doesn't feel like it's constrained in width. I also have custom made orthotics I wear in them.

  • Thanks OP bought a pair of lifestyle shoes in White, was so tempted to by two more pairs but have to pace myself I'll wait for the next special.

  • Thanks for the heads up.

    Got some 420's.
