Interesting. "This software is registered by Russian Federal Institute Of Industrial Property".

expect Trump has made it mandatory for all CIA document archiving

Don't forget that he has also mandated it for all European NATO correspondence. He was so excited about announcing it today that he jostled and bumped his way past several Euro politicians to tell good old Vlad.

  • Haven't used it yet but thanks!

  • Go to download it only to find that I must have got it last time.

Or just use the Google Drive app which already has a built-in document scanner.

Just press the blue plus button and and select scan.

I always wanted to ask but keep forgetting, but do these apps that we download and install stay in our Google Play Account forever, or do they get removed once we've uninstalled it from our devices?

You bought it you own the license to use it. Even if you bought it for $0.

        Thank you!

    • Ramrunner is right, but if you remove it from your download list and it gets delisted from the store you can run into a pickle getting it back sometimes.

That being said, Duke Nukem 3D hasn't been on the store for yeeeears, I got a smart watch the other week, scrolled to the bottom of my list and boom, there he was waiting. Sure, it sucks on the tiny screen, but that's not the point.

      • Can't believe I'm saying this after all these years, but there's an app for that:

        https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.azefsw.pur…

        Shows previously purchased apps.

        • Looks like a potential life saver. Wonder if it does free apps too, and has the ability to redownload and not just track? I'll find out for myself later, could be really useful, cheers dude.

    • OCR should mean "recognise characters and convert to text"
I cannot see any text or OCR features - am I missing something here?
    • Go into settings and there is an option: "Install OCR module"

    Payment $6.49 required

  • I know there's plenty of options out there, but my 2 cents goes to CamScanner.

It lets you take photos and it crops the document part out and you can edit how much or little is cropped and there's color enhancement and multiple photos in documents and direct PDF export and you can (profanity) around with already existing photos on your phone and shit, and it's free.

Good app, my course teacher told me about it earlier this year and it's probably the best thing an educational institution has taught me about.

    • You got ripped off if you paid 2c
