  • was about to post this.. placed order this end .. have not been a fan of their coffee in the past, but willing to give these a go.

    • I personally think their bags are quite good, compared to their Nespresso pods anyway.

      • It might be different coffee to the single bags, maybe. The singles are a mix of ground and instant coffee, no idea what these double size plunger bags are.

        • Will await further feedback when you receive them….

  • Need to update quantity in the title or description (50)

    • I've updated the title, cheers.

  • "For a limited time, receive a FREE 2 Cup Plunger valued at $15.59 with every box of Plunger Bags…."

I read like FREE 2 Cup & Plunger

But in a sealed bag then why need a plunger ? I might just pop it in a 2 Cup Mug instead.

    • I don't think it would produce the same effect if you just placed the bag in a cup of water, but it's free!

  • 77c per cup….not sold just yet

    • I would calculate it as followed:

      $38.59 (price of coffee bags) - $15.59 (price of plunger) = $22.95

      $22.95 / 50 (bags of coffee) = 45c per bag

      45c / 2 (two cups per bag) = 22c per cup

I usually try to aim for 30c or less per cup of coffee (we usually only buy pods for around $3 per 10 pack), so this deal for us is great.

And I have really enjoyed their coffee bags in the past and never really attempted this type of coffee before, so looking forward to something a bit different.

      • The plunger is supposed to be free…..So the $15.59 cost is irrelevant. They could claim its worth $100, your basically still paying $38.59 for 50 bags.

I will take the 2 cups per bag as being more detailed information from PVA below into the equation.

        So 38.5c per cup.

        • The plunger is supposed to be free

It is, but since you need the plunger to use the bags, and I didn't already own one, that is the end cost price for me.

    • Isn't each bag for 2 cups of coffee.?

  • +2

25c a cup from coles at $7 per 28 bag box at present, so the coffee would be worth $12.50, and then $26 for a small plunger? I don't know how much a kmart plunger would be but $26 for the timms logo seems expensive?

    • Each plunger bag produces two cups of coffee, where as the normal RT bags only serves one.

I can't comment on the quality of the plunger as I haven't received it yet, but I assume it will be a tad better than the generics ones sold at Kmart.

      • I think it is Pyrex so should be good. Wondering if it is USA made like other pyrex.

        • I didn't think Kmart sold pyrex, unless you're thinking of Big W.

        • @cdestratis: I mean the free Robert Timms plugger is Pyrex. Have a look at the pic.

        • @cash8: My bad, looks like you're right.

    • The $7 bags(28) your talking about are also available on their site - albeit $18.00, which is far more expensive than Coles/Woolies $7 deals. I am thinking this site is not such a bargain when you see the inflated prices of their other coffee.

  • do you put the coffee and the bag in the plunger?

    • The bags come prepacked with coffee, bag goes into plunger with water, then you percolate the coffee.

      • So you don't really need the plunger if the coffee is in the bag…

        • I guess the bag can be used without a plunger, but I don't think that was it's intended use.

  • Arent their normal coffee bags usually on special at Coles/Woolworths for $7 for 28?

Whoops I see someone has already mentioned this.
