[Android] Quadropoly - $0.00 (Free) (Was $0.99) 7 days no ads, Quadropoly Pro - $2.49 (Was $4.99) no ads @ Google Play

1692

Hey folks,
I have just released this app on Play Store. It is free for a limited time, and there are no ads for the first 7 days after installation. Even after this period is over, I made sure the ads would not interfere with the game play and would have no sound. With this particular Ad provider, the developer is not getting paid for ad views only installs (not even clicks), so I see no point in popping the ad every 5 minutes.

Quadropoly is a Classic Monopoly Board Game with Tournament Level Artificial Intelligence.

With over a dozen of Monopolies in Play Store, what makes Quadropoly stand out from the crowd?

πŸš€ The Artificial Intelligence for this project has been trained for 20 months
🎯 This is the first and so far the only successful attempt to build real Artificial Intelligence for Monopoly. Comparing bots in second best Property Trading app with Quadropoly AI is like comparing a speed bump with Mount Everest
πŸ“‡ Quadropoly supports all core Monopoly rules and features, not just the easy to implement ones
🎻 The most extensive game customization options, fully supported by automatically adjusted AI behavior
🌠 Variable animation speed and improved balance βš– makes it possible to complete a game in 10-15 minutes on average, with 95% of games finishing between 4 and 10 rounds
🌏 The game has been built in Melbourne πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί, so Fair Play is encoded in our DNA. Players are never treated unfavorably by AI, AIs never do one-sided trades, the dice 🎲 are completely random and every game event could be inspected, replayed and analysed
πŸ’Ύ The only game which guaranties data integrity (no data is ever being lost and every dice roll is final)
πŸ“² Every user action is made possible with a minimum taps required using the most advanced User Experience techniques
πŸ†• Weekly version updates with new features

Whether you are a seasoned tournament player eager to learn new tricks to use against your opponents during championships, or just a Board Games lover ready for a true challenge, this game is for you!

If you like the game, tell everybody, if you do not - tell me how I can make it better.

The winner's name will or will not be published according to their will.
This offer is available to the first 400 winners, exclusive for Ozbargain (not going to be published anywhere else).

Please do not forget to rate the app in the Play Store, it is not easy to get it off the ground :)
Let the dice roll always in your favour!

Intriguing. Good luck with the release!

  • +10

If this is a paid app, why would there be adverts?

    • Because you have to pay everything :(

    • +15

To make it free I would have to add way more ads and I did not want to do it. This app is not one of those 2 weeks to build games (the AI code alone takes almost 8Mb, that is 8 million characters). So I created Pro version with no ads ($4.99, goes on sale tomorrow for -50% off), and this version which has everything as Pro version does but would have ads outside of the game play after 7 days. I am very new to the whole thing as I am more on a pure science side of the fence, so all this price/ads business might see a few changes.

      • +6

I do like the idea of the Pro version and will probably go for that with the sale price tomorrow. But I don't exactly agree with the $0.99 ad version. I reckon it would be better to have a 7 day trial period for free always. If people are interested in the app, then they can buy the pro version after the 7 day trial. Having said that, I'm no developer so I don't know how trials and stuff work so maybe the $0.99 app with fewer ads is a simpler way to execute it.

        • +1

Its 99cents to have a version that is exactly the same as the Pro and you have to put with ads that aren't instrusive as per description.

The ads don't pay the developer unless they have installed the app.

        • +3

Also calling the 99c version free is confusing. Is it free or does it cost 99c?

        • +1

Yes I am looking at a few options. What you propose means that after a week user would have to upgrade or won't be able to play if I understood you correctly. Problem is, many might see it differently and vote 1 star for the app which kills the ranking. So far I am planning to add a few premium features which would be available in Pro version only to make it more worth while to upgrade, and then consider making this version free after experimenting with a few other ad providers. Those who get it now won't see more ads, I have ways to control this without knowing any personal details(happy to share if anyone is interested in technical stuff). Problem is, once app is free you cannot ever put a price tag on it again. Either way, I would make sure early adopters regardless whether they paid or not would be in a better position than everybody else. Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate your thoughts and will most certainly consider it.

        • @chatman: It is free for the promotion period, normally $0.99. It does have ads, normally after 24 hours after first installation - 7 days for the promotion period. I modified the title of the post, the Play Store listing does not have "FREE" in the title or description. Thanks for pointing this out!

        • +1

@jlogic: Thank you, that's correct. All ads are for freemium apps on play store. Ad provider only pays developer in the event when user clicks on the ad, downloads the app advertised and plays it for some time (not sure exactly how long). So my reasoning is if you did not like the app advertised, you are not more likely to install it if you see it every minute. Many developers also allow the ads to have sound enabled regardless of the user's settings, I made sure that all ads have muted sound by default.
The first ad should be seen no earlier than 7 days after first installation, so for a week this version is an exact copy of Pro

        • +1

@CutMeOwnThroatDibloh: Cool man, looks like you've given the whole thing a fair bit of thought. Good luck :)

        • @jlogic: Yeah I understand that but there are apps out there which have a free version with ads and a pro version without ads. In this case, there isn't a free version (once this promo period ends) but kudos to the developer for minimizing the impact of the ads on the non pro version.

      • Glad to see some actual work on an app. too many people paying $2-5 for shitty (profanity) things that take a couple weeks to make… then they turn around and complain about ads.

Australian monopoly rules: Houses are 5x more expensive, pay no tax if you own a hotel and you only collect $200 if you have less then $500 in assets.

    • +2

Nice one - I think I could build a separate expansion with those rules :)

  • Will there be an iPhone version?

    • +2

Yes, I built it in Python (Kivy) which means it is portable to any platform. Apple App Store takes ages to get approved though (up to 3 months) and every update takes a lot of time to submit too. I am planning to start the process next month.

      • +1

Fellow developer here, Apple isnt as bad as some industry sites make out, unless your on the fringes of some rules the review process these days is < 24 hours most of the time, that's not to say you won't be rejected for no reason, make no changes at all and resubmit to be accepted this time :p

Hope all goes well for you, good luck!

        • That's great to hear! Thanks mate :)

  • +4

Thanks for your efforts. However if you are actually going to be charging for the ad version at some point in time you are likely to start seeing a lot of negative reviews and docked star ratings purely because of this. It's a hard game to be in but wish you all the luck.

  • +1

After just quickly checking out the screenshots, I'm hoping you have covered yourself with regards to components that may be similar to monopoly, I'm not sure but it's possible that Hasbro has specific patents in regards to aspects of their game which may or may not exist in yours as well. The use of a similar product name in conjunction with similar aspects may attract unwanted attention from them. In other words, tread carefully.

    • Thank you, yes I had to consider this. I made every effort not to be confused though and not to use anything copyrighted.

  • +1

Good luck with the app! Thanks for sharing :)

  • +1

Sold. All the best with the future of your app.

  • +1

It's free with ads. Shouldn't the game be free to begin with?

    • It's 99cents normally. Free during the promo period.

  • +1

Why does it need access to my photos?

    • +4

It needs access to the storage to manage saves and logs. It does not access anything outside of the folder it creates for itself "sdcard>quadropoly". Unfortunately, there is no way to request permissions on just one non-existing (at the time of request) folder.

  • +4

Sounds like you've nailed the internals and behind-the-scenes aspects of the app. I would consider consulting with a UI designer or someone with design experience as some of the menus and interface look pretty bad!
Check out the Material Design guidelines as a start, they'll give you a nice foundation for layout, colour contrasts and general aesthetics.
Great start though mate looks like a real labour of love!

EDIT: also I would change that 3D isometric icon as it indicates that it's a 3D game when it isn't. Consider something far less hyper-detailed, maybe something flat and in line with the general colour scheme and design of the app.

    • +1

Thanks mate, you are correct - design would have to be improved, and I am considering hiring a professional to do that. The app was designed in Kivy which is not yet very well polished in terms of design, and it does not look like it is native Android (because it is not!)

    • +1

material.io is like a book on how to be unique. It works but it doesn't.

I find that good design isn't something that can be written down. It can be estimated sure, but it changes so fast and is all just a popularity thing.

  • +4

This line really irks me, and other parts of the description too seem really arrogant and douchey (and unnecessary). Seems like you've got the coding well covered but maybe consider getting a PR person

The effort and the skills (sic) level required to build Quadropoly was higher than the effort required to build all other property trading apps combined.

Down-vote away but I mean well.. sort of. Thanks for the 'deal' and good luck with the product launch unfinished games are all the rage these days.

    • You'd be amazed at how little effort goes into programs and apps these days.

Played a game, AI requests to buy utility company for ~$260 to complete the set and I refuse. I offer $400 to buy their utilty, they refuse. One AI had a negative $39 balance and kept their properties. Players advancing to some square advance one spot at a time sometimes all the way around the board. Dice roll and pieces move too slowly, trades and text happens to fast (default game speed 10). Can't see cost/value of building/mortgaging while in those modes. AI have only offered me shitty low-ball trades and rejected every ~fair trade I've suggested (they counter-offer 5:1 value trades). The only way to acquire any streets was making a deal significantly better for the AI. AI randomly raised and lowered their offer in response to my arbitrary counter-offers. Had terrible luck and was out first by a long shot. Somewhat enjoyable, might play again. AI did not seem any more real than those of the PC Monopoly game I got from a cereal box about a decade ago (sorry).

        • +1

AI always lowball in trades both with human or another AI, those trades should be renegotiated for better outcome for yourself. Second offer is usually much closer to their reserved price. Most of the trades do not go through as they are not beneficial for both trading partners, same as in real life. If AI does not give you good value it means he is not interested in that trade - you are not giving anything valuable in return, or AI has strong bias towards this set and would like to collect it himself. If AI does not need money to build properties, and you are asking for a set finisher for yourself without offering a set finisher in exchange - it is only fair to ask A LOT of money from you, and the deal would be exactly the same between AIs. All other monopolies use preferential trading (different prices for AI to AI trades and AI to human) and cannot find 95% of trades at all. In Quadropoly, AI could offer you or another AI a trade with several cards (up to 4) on each side, plus money.
The values AI "assign" in every particular situation has been tested on tens of thousands of games and are much more accurate than any person could estimate manually.
I have written a trading guide applicable to any ~poly type of game, feel free to check it out and share your thoughts:
          http://quadropoly.com.au/index.php/2017/07/27/property-tradi…

        • @CutMeOwnThroatDibloh:

I think its pointless trying to write a guide. The best way to win monopoly is to essentially have full sets of properties for 12 spaces in a row. That means that every turn for every player they have to land on your property and pay you money, there is literally very few chances to get around this. The best stretch to do this on imo is from The Strand to Bond St. So all the Red, Yellow and Green properties plus Water Works and the 3rd train station. This is the mid to end game scenario you have to aim for, everything adjacent to those are also valuable and not tradable unless you are completing sets. If you happen to string together 12 on the first two cheaper streets, you must also try and get one of the two sets on the fourth street otherwise war of attrition will probably end you.

  • +2

Just tried it. Compared to the official Monopoly game, this one functionally is way superior. The level of customisation especially in game speed makes it way more enjoyable. The AI was quite intelligent and made reasonable trade suggestions. I will be keeping this app for a time I feel like a 15 minute game! Great work OP! Much enjoyed. If the graphics were a little more modern, you'd have an even sweeter app.

    • +1

Thank you - the AI improvement is semi automated now, so all my efforts would go into design/graphics. Performance should also be considered as any additional animations, or turning the whole game into 3d would have performance implications especially on older devices.

  • Great effort mate. Is there a way to change states/cities?

    • Thanks mate.
Not at this moment. This functionality will be added relatively soon, I just need to collect relevant pics and write up new Chest/Chance cards. More languages will be supported in future too, once I sort out the translations.

  • Just a question out of interest.

Have you thought about uploading the game results after each game back to the server.

And use those as further training for the AI?

    • +1

Yes this is exactly how it is done. Full game logs (6Kb-9Kb) are uploaded to the cloud and later used by Machine Learning

      • Yeh, wasn't sure if it was just trained by an internal data set or using player games as well.

Using user games, it means hopefully it'll learn new strategies and constantly improve.

        • +2

It uses both channels. The most valuable are the games where player wins more than 25% of the games on Monopolist level. Unfortunately, there are very few people whose winrate is > 25% at the moment, but I hope it will change later.

  • Shows up as 99 cent for me. Interesting concept, I'd like to give this one a shot.

    • Sorry mate, I tried a few browsers and private sessions and it always comes up free for me (not being logged in). Might have something to do with the proxy/location, or the browser. I will send you a promocode.

      • You could be right. Am traveling in China right now. Got your message, thanks. I might also give it a try once am back in AU next week.

  • +1

OP I was wondering, what are you considering your payback value out of making this app (ie. what amount of money are you trying to make?) Over what period do you think it'll take that long to get to?

I think any game that is ad driven should be free. I get infuriated by games that make me pay then have intrusive ads. I can't complain about have ads in a game if I don't play a cent.

I think a game like Dan The Man did it best. It is free, and you can play the game, but there is a cool down timer between levels. This can be reduced by watching ads, but ultimately the cool down time is so long that you'd need to watch 20-30 ads to play the next level so you end up buying the game (because it is so good).

    • Great tip, I will have to explore this one in more detail. Answering your questions, I need more data (so far ads brought me exactly $0, so any guesswork is pointless at this stage). I am not making apps for living. This started as a weekend project to prove that Data Science, Machine Learning and AI development could be fun. It is very challenging to find good candidates in this field and if it could help persuade a few people to choose Data Science as their profession everyone will be much better off as this is the future.

      • I actually think all that stuff is very interesting, except it is a) specialized and takes a long time to learn and b) the applications of it are also pretty specialized. But I guess once you make a name for yourself applying ML/AI to a certain field, you can probably have a nice career out of it.

  • Hi OP,

Where did you go about learning about AI? Andrew Ng's Coursera course?

    • Hi Tidy,
No, I use it for work quite a lot. My work has nothing to do with Monopoly, mobile apps or games in general though, although it is equally exciting.
Most AI building models are based on one requirement - you have to have data, and a lot of it. I started with nothing, so my Machine Learning cycles had to both produce data and use it for self improvement over thousands of iterations.

  • -3

Very misleading about pricing. This is just an ad-supported version of an otherwise not free app. Good luck selling the adware version for 0.99

    • +2

      Hey mate,
Just to be fair, I went to Android Game section on Ozbargain and did some analysis on the data.

Out of 10 most recent paid games offered for free, here are the stats:
Had no in-app purchases and no ads: 2
      Had in-app purchases only: 3
Had both in-app purchases and ads: 3
      Had ads only: 2

I am not sure if I can mention the apps selected, but those numbers can be easily verified by anyone.

Conclusion: only 2 out of 10 fit the criteria of Pro app offered for free, and 5 out of 10 had ads with no ad-free period.

  • -4

Ok, well done, good job, nice work, …
But you are selling and advertising a 7-day trial version of your paid app as free?

    • +3

Dude, read the description. It's the full version of the app but will display ads after 7 days. There are plenty of non-free apps on the play store that also have ads. The positive is that if you get it now during the promo period, you get it for free. Or you could just buy the pro version and you won't have any ads!

  • +2

Hi. Congrats on the app. Looks like a huge amount of work. I played a game (40 mins on the couch), and my comments are:

    Overall - I liked it

The UI really needs improvement. Poor UI will hamper your take up.

There are some unintuitive parts, like creating a game. I enter my name….now what? I want to build… I click on the buildings at the top, but that doesnt work. Someone wants to trade with me… Am I reading what they are offering or what I am giving? Eventually, I figured this out, but it wasn't simple.

With some UI tweaks it would improve so much.

I wouldn't get too worked up about these ad comments. People are used to ads and will play through for the game benefit.

    Good luck

    • Hi Dozingquinn,
Thank you for the comments - great insights, thanks for pointing this out. Looks like I have got my work cut out for me :)

  • Thank you for the game, I played a few times. Loved the suburb names. Does it pick from phone's geolocation?
Could not win at lowest setting. I am not much into Monopoly, so it may be my skill, but I think it is very unbalanced. Once someone builds hotels, and it happens fast - AIs are adventurous enough to let each other complete sets, - you are done, because just a couple or sometimes just one stay at that hotel will bankrupt you.

    • Thank you for your feedback.
No, the app does not have permissions to use geo locations, Melbourne is the only city available at the moment.
Monopoly is a property trading game, so 80% of the game play is about trading properties (the rest - depends on a dice, chance/chest cards etc). 2 hours+ long games happen only to people who do not know the values of the properties and, therefore, afraid to trade. Unfortunately, there is virtually zero material available which would help in learning. If you watch a tournament game, everything happens very fast, the same way as Quadropoly AI play on highest difficulty. In order to win, the player has to find trades which would be beneficial both to himself and the other player (or AI), preferably trading with several players on the same turn in order to obtain sets and give sets to everybody else. Trick is to make sure you would have more cash after those transactions than your opponents. Normally, every player have to have a monopoly before he finishes his second round around the board. If you do not have a set by the end of third round, your chances to win are very low. This is true for Monopolist level, other AIs are much more relaxed. Great way to learn is to watch games with 4 AIs playing, and toggle the speed when trades start to happen. You can also click on logs and find details of every action/transaction there.
I have written a few blog posts which should help with learning, but it is a lenthy read: www.quadropoly.com.au
I will also be publishing videos of gameplay and strategies soon.

      • +1

One hundred games later I have to admit I'm loving it. Close to unlocking Monopolist. All of the changes I have seen been positive. You have done really well. My request would be to allow for non-Latin characters for the names, and I am happy to volunteer for translation into the language of Dustyesky whenever you feel like translating it.

        • Thank you,

I just need to find a decent font which supports cyrillic alphabet. It should not take long, thanks for the suggestion!
As for the translation, when and if I have time to do it I want to fully localize the game rather than just translate it. The city should be a local city, with all Chance/Chest cards related to that city, and all photos of the suburbs taken there. Doing that for several countries and cities would mean a lot of additional content, and not everyone would want to have all the cities. So I need to figure out how to enable extra downloads for new cities 1 at a time, separate from the app itself.

          Cheers!

  • Good game, played a round with "tradie" level AI. Got Docklands and CBD early on and managed to get a foothold. However, when the last person goes bankrupt, the app crashes on me! Reported it through the android crash dialog, so you gotta fix that.

Also how come if I demolish buildings, I don't get that money back immediately? It adds onto my net worth but doesn't present itself as cash that turn. EG, I land on a yellow and want to buy because another AI has two other yellows. I don't have enough cash, so I demolish a building on Docklands. But I can't use that money to buy the yellow!

Also laughing at the fact that you made Point Cook and Trugs the lowest value. Should've been Sunshine and Footscray.

    • Thanks mate.
Both the crash and the delay in money received definitely should not happen, I will investigate and fix that. So far I could not reproduce neither on 3 devices, so I might need your help (will send pm).
In regards to the suburbs value, I am no expert (have never had property myself), and it is possible those suburbs will be changed :)

      • No worries, let me know and I can send you my save game. It's currently saved at the last remaining AI landing on Docklands with 4 houses. Then it crashes.

I also think us humans should be able to interfere/interrupt AI-AI deals to prevent them from getting sets. The game should also pause once an AI-AI deal is completed so we can see what happened.

        • Preventing AI-AI trades would make it very unfair to AIs as AI cannot interfere and stop your trades. AI do not treat other AIs any different than a human, so everyone is in the same position. Great idea about adding an option to pause the game when deal goes through - I will think about it. The details of the trade (all details, proposals, counter proposals and results) are available in the logs, and the game is paused when the log button is pressed.
AI never try to 'help' another AI, each plays for himself in his own interest only, with their own set of biases, annoyance levels towards other AIs or human alike, and other parameters.

        • Sorry mate, tried to send you a message but it says: "User navman does not accept new conversations."
Could you please pm me or contact me via email [email protected]

  • I agree that the UI should be the first priority, starting a new game is unobvious, the bots flick through trades between each other in seconds yet the pieces move painfully slow.

These problems have likely been fixed in the other monopoly apps, maybe you can "find inspiration" in them.

I'm sure you would have no lack of playtesters in ozbargainers, expecially if you utter the two magic words every ozbargainer loves hearing!

    "Free stuff"

  • +1

This is hella fun, but a lot of the times they dont bargain like normal people or they're trying to spite me:
They offer me $800 for a piece, I negotiate to 900, they offer me $700 lol.

Also is tradie or monolopolist the hardest difficulty? Was assuming it was monopolist but it then it defaults you vsing the hardest difficulty ai

    • Yep there is an annoyance level: more you push for a deal, more annoyed the other party becomes. Some part (about 5%) of the price is random, but you cannot guess the minimum range by trying many times over as every attempt increases annoyance level. It is fine to push the deal around for a couple of times though, and annoyance level decays with time.
By the way, if you push for a trade too many times with the same AI (10+ on the same turn), AI would block trades with you for 3 turns. It will not affect your trades with other AIs though.
Noone, including other AIs know at any point in time what AI is happy to accept. That makes the game more challenging, and AIs are more human-like rather than being predictable bots.

Tradie - easiest, Monopolist - most difficult level. Monopolist is the default, but once you changed it the app remembers your selection for your next game.

  • For those who are interested in data, here are some stats from accounts created after this deal has been posted (i.e. no older than 28 hours):
Total Tradie games: 350, won: 34
Total Entrepreneur games: 78, won: 7
Total Monopolist games: 439, won: 20

I am building my own API for leaderboards, so it is going to be avaliable from within the game too at some point in future.

  • +2

I found a bug. I landed on a Chance card that required me to pay $30 per house. I didn't have enough money, so I went to mortgage two properties. I changed my mind on one of the ones I selected, so I pressed rollback changes so I could select a different property, however it also rolled back the $300 I had to pay due to the Chance card. I then didn't need to mortgage anything.

    • +1

Wow, nice one mate! I will get it fixed, thank you :)

Also in one of my games one of the AI player's icons got stuck on Fitzroy. It still bounced up and down and rotated like it was moving, and the game still continued as normal with that player landing on different spaces, just not visually; the icon never left Fitzroy.

A small thing; it would be nice if the icon we select was saved, rather than having to re-select it every game.

Thanks mate, the non-moving icon bug could happen when player minimises and restores the app later. Problem is, Android might choose to free the memory completely or partially, and sometimes (the chance is very small, 0.1% or so) the chip is getting stuck like this. Going to Menu, Load Game -> tapping on a top save fixes the issue with no data loss, and it takes 1 second. The bug might have something to do with the app not being native for Android, and it has higher chance of appearing when phone has no free RAM available (many running apps or the phone has less than 1Gb of RAM total). I will be looking for solution, but unfortunately cannot promise it this week.
Re icon being saved, good idea - I will do it for the next release.

As an android game dev (who couldn't code anything as complex as this) well done and best of luck to you.

I just did 4 in a row against monopolist level bots. Maybe luck but starting to see the weakness in your AI. It doesnt seem to understand that a trade for a block that they are 7 spots away is statistically likely to result in immediate pay off, and in turn bankrupts themselves.

Edit -Broke the streak in one unlucky break (was down 600 networth and before I passed go for the first time). Won again straight after. The boys are not too bright at the hardest setting.

    • You are correct - current production version of AI does not take into account potential danger after a trade - they would be very unwilling to spend money if they are 2-12 spots away from already built houses/hotels, but they cannot "see" the houses which you might build after a trade (but have not built yet). Next version is testing this particular scenario, and I believe the logs from your games would be of great help :)
Currently, there are only 4 people who managed to have 25% or higher winrate on Monopolist level (having played at least 10 games). So you are playing better than 99.8% of players mate :) I do not know your account of course, but after 4 wins in a row you are most certanly having more than 25%.
There will be a little bonus by the end of the week for best players, more on that tomorrow (well, today actually).
      Cheers mate and congrats!

      • Thanks. :)Glad to know I'm not as much a potato as I thought I was.

Edit. Too bad my stats are going to tank shortly. Letting kids play with it. Extract my stats quick. :O

Edit 2. Don't worry. Found how to make 2nd account.

  • Encountered new bug - made a new account as my first 10 games was testing the AI and obviously tanked my numbers. Trying to go for a >75% win on new account.

First game on new account was a win but it is unable to complete the game and go to debriefing page. Game keeps crashing. I've sent a bug report but not sure if you'll see it or it goes to google.

I can confirm the issue. It affects first game on a second account created on the same device. Sorry for your trouble, it will be fixed in the next version (this weekend).
Do not worry about earlier games on your first account, winrate by itself is not the most important parameter. Score is, and it is impossible to go into negative before you reach 100 (and you cannot ever go below that). All the ranking in future will be done through score, as well as players matching for pvp online matches and tournaments. All time winrate will be available to you only. By the way, all the stats are tracked independently for each difficulty level even on the same account.
Online multiplayer is not available yet and subject to careful tuning and adjustment to ensure best pvp experience.

      • Thanks. I am addicted. Doing riskier and riskier plays but cutting game rounds down significantly.

All right guys, here is a little challenge for you:
For the duration of this deal (5 more days), anyone who can manage 25% or over winrate on Monopolist level with total number of games on that level of 15 or more, gets promocode for Pro version with no ads ever, no in-app purchases for free. Basically, all you need to get is 4 victories before the number of games you started hits 17 (5 after that, until it hits 21, and so on).
To apply, just send me a personal message with your account name, and let me know whether you wish me to publish your user name in this post later.
Currently, there are only 4 accounts eligible.
The winner's name will or will not be published according to their will.
This offer is available to the first 400 winners (cannot get more codes, sorry).

And, of course, I would really appreciate people reviewing and rating the app on the Play Store.
Let the dice roll always in your favour!

    • Oooo free upgrade code.

Btw. Just an interesting fact - there is no way to force a bot to sell their final property, so there is no realistic probability of owning all properties. It is still possible but you'd have to bankrupt 2 bots and have one remaining that has never bought any property.

      • AIs will never sell their last set because it would bring their earning capability down to 0, i.e. their chance to win to 0. Doing that would be 1-sided trade, which they never do. Even if you were to own everything, there is no bonus for that. One of the most highly valued challenges is building hotels on all color sets (+100 score), but the progress is saved from game to game.

        • Ah, I could have done that. I owned every tile except the last blue blocks. Wanted to see if there's a hidden achievement for conquering it all

        • @tshow: Sorry to disappoint :) My reasoning was that in order to achieve that, one has to have a very long game, and long games are quite boring in general. It is possible to extend the game by demolishing everything and letting AI to be forever crippled but alive.
Most of the score bonuses and achievements are not applied to the final score when player's total number of rounds exceeds 20 for that reason, including the progress towards "All hotels on all properties" challenge.

  • +1 for the efforts and posting here. poor me, no android to play with…

    • Thank you, there will be IOS version too in a few months. I will try to do similar deal then.
