          Looks like it's one per account, so you will need another email address for a second signup, or try the gift option.

          When u redeem it, u actually register to amaysim / create account, n apparently ur sim will be activated on that day. And u just wait till they deliver, no need to activate the sim

          Is this true? I'm having trouble making sense of that. How can they pre-activate the sim for you? What if you are porting your existing number? Do they activate the sim and port your number over (so your current sim is deactivated) and then you have to wait until you get the sim in the mail to get your service back? :S

          Not sure for porting, maybe different arrangement. Mine was a new service, sim arrived already activated, n when i checked the balance online, it said 18 days left (for the first month)

          @moonwalk: I think you still have to activate the sim after receiving it as per the instruction "During the signup process, you'll need to select that you want to keep your current number and will then be able to start the transfer whenever you're ready."

    Can someone confirm whether such offers for "new customers only" require a different account, name, email address, etc. or can they be added as an additional/new service?       Not sure if it works for additional service but can confirm you can use exact same details (name, address etc) and just use a new email address (create a Gmail if you have to).

      Amaysim accounts are uniquely keyed by either phone number or email.

    anyone have any thoughts of the amaysim deal v the vaya 1.5GB one? i'm thinking of the amaysim deal as it's for 6 months but keen to hear ppls thoughts. from a quick look:

    pros for amaysim:
    - 6 months. Don't need to look around for another deal in 3 months time :)
    - more data 2GB v 1.5GB

    pros for vaya:
    - cheaper i.e. 9c per day = $2.70 per 30d v 12.9c per day = $3.86 per 30d

    same:
    Optus 4G

      I was tossing up between them too. Even getting the 3GB plan with Vaya works out alright, for only half a coffee extra per month…
      Has anyone tried both amaysim and Vaya and can compare who would be better to go with? They're both on Optus of course, so id assume coverage would be very similar. But in terms of sign up process/customer service etc.

      Also, my current prepaid plan ends on Tuesday, so I am hoping to activate one of these plans to start using immediately. The only problem would be waiting for the sim to arrive. How long did it take for the SIM cards to arrive in the mail? Site says Vaya will ship 3-7 days, not sure about amaysim.
      But anyway, I was wondering if I could just buy a amaysim/vaya sim and activate with that (to avoid waiting for the one in the mail) or do the sims come pre-activated or something? I wouldn't expect so as I've never heard of it to be this way, but the Vaya redemption instructions has me confused. It states: step 3. Choose if you are bringing your current number or getting a new one. Fill in your current number if you are porting over. So why do we have to put in our number we are wanting to port, when we are signing up to the plan, before we've even received the sim? Is there a reason for this?
      That's the only thing that has me confused, surely they don't port your number and send a pre-activated sim in the mail right? Can anyone who's signed up the Vaya before please fill me in, that would be greatly appreciated! :)
      Main question: I can't wait for the 3-7 days shipping for the sim, can I use a different Vaya sim (if I can buy one from shops?) for the activation? Or do I have to use the one they mail me? And same goes for the amaysim plan too, I'm pretty sure I've seen amaysim sims in shops, so can I just grab one of those and activate with that? Cheers to all! ^^

        Sim arrived very quickly with Amaysim within a day or 2, they use Couriers Please and just leave Sim in the mail box.
