anyone had any idea how well that key holder works?

    • +1

      <edited> sorry, misread your question.

    • I believe you unscrew it and up the keys in the rod, so they can't be removed.

    • They work like a pocket knife, each end has a screw, you unscrew these and take the top plate off.
you then add your keys and spacers (usually provided) and reassemble.

      • Looks like a pocket knife too, don't be surprised if the police consider it a weapon.

        • nope no chance they think its a weapon. mainly coz regardless of what something looks like it has to actually perform said function.

        • +1

@MickMonk: while this key holder is not going to be an issue, saying "regardless of what something looks like it has to actually perform said function" is not true. You can still be charged with armed robbery while "armed" with a fake gun. It's more about the genuine belief of the victim that they would be harmed, not that the supposed weapon could actually do them any harm.

        • This looks like a knife handle and clipped in your pocket no one will know the difference. Whether it turns out to be a real weapon or not won't matter as the reason to question you is there. Just hope the police aren't sure its a knife and ask first or you might end up with being maced or worst.

Personally, I don't want to attract that sort of attention from the police or the public.

@johnno07: I'm armed with real guns.

97 cents well spent and in orange! Thanks :)

    • What's your avatar meant to be this time?

      • Not an Aussie cultural reference this time. Already been asked if he's my boyfriend lol!!

        • Lol, alright.

PS, are you sure you got the Orange?
All that's coming up for me is the Black…

        • @Kangal: Just a character from a cool Thai show.

I was referring to the ORICO.

        • @Clear:

Yeah, it's coming up as AU$1.27 for me in only Black.
That's with Free Shipping after 60%OFF$1 coupon.

Also noticed, I don't have the option to use any GearBest points.
          Which sucks because I have 186 points = ~AU$4.90

edit: sorry, I was talking about the EDC and you were talking about the ORICO

On a heavy drinking night, you might find your aluminium key holder bent and all the keys are no longer secured in the key holder :)

  • Cable organizer:

The Code you entered is not for this product.

    Any suggestions?

    • Just checked 70%OFF$1 still working for cable organiser

    • 70%OFF$1 for that one

      • Seems the error appears only when choosing the grey color.
Just now, ordered the orange with coupon applied; no problem.

        Thanks guys.

        • Ah yeah, the coupons usually only work for the linked item colour.

        • @bamzero: Thanks; noted.

  • Can the key holder fit Audi keys?

    • +2

Not if that is an $80K investment car… no.

      • +1

I don't think it can fit all the keys of my investment properties either.

  • Appropriate colour for a corkscrew/bottle opener

  • Hi best gearBest

any discount code for usb fan please?

    https://www.gearbest.com/cables-adapter/pp_185398.html

    • Yeah ok, so does this work by permanently holding the normal valve open to test the pressure?

Yeah, not the greatest idea, but the same as other aftermarket tyre pressure monitoring systems unless you get a pro one installed that replaces the stem.

BTW, The maze cube is 40c at Zapals

      • Oh cool thanks for the info, seeing the price of ~genuine ones makes the concept seem a lot more reliable

        • That said, given the price of these you know which one is more likely to leak ;)
Probably OK for a push bike though.

        • @bamzero:
Yeah for sure, never ever on these cheap ones. Thanks for the maze cube tip, you've saved me 60c so you're pretty much my hero now

    • Thanks for letting us know.

    • Those knives you linked are push knives and are a Prohibited Import. You might get a nasty letter from Customs.

      • No knives here I think you have the wrong comment, thanks though

        • Sure did, it was for 2 comments down.

      • They are not push knives in any form. They're karambits and legal to purchase in most if not all states.

  • Last time i got something similar (key holder), the holes in my keys were too small to fit on the bolt.

    • Nothing a drill can't fix…

There was a 1c fee that got added at the Paypal screen for each transaction

You have to do a separate transaction for each coupon code but can definitely group items from each code

    Special mentions for being terrible:
4pcs Car Tires Pressure Monitor Sensor Cap Alarm Indicator - SILVER
Yeah ok, so does this work by permanently holding the normal valve open to test the pressure?
10/10 product complete with dumb unhelpful Q/A and fake reviews. Neato!

    • Those knives you linked are push knives and are a Prohibited Import. You might get a nasty letter from Customs. As well as that throwing star thing.

    • You really shouldn't be relying on the valve stem to keep the air in your tyres, the real protection is a decent valve cap with a seal. In theory these pressure monitor caps are that, but from my experience, they actually aren't sealed well, so they do the opposite of that they should.

      • Thanks! I actually have one of those on the way already :)

  • Cheers mate 👊

  • wouldnt recommend this style of keyholder. screws loosen after just a few days and you'll lose everything. a leather one like this is better and doesnt scratch your phone: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Unisex-Leather-Key-Chain-Wallet-…

    • Loctite

      • Defeats the purpose of buying a cheap one, unless you already have some.

        • loctite thread locker is usually a bit pricey.
a blob of womans nail varnish does the trick, or buy some thread locker from a hobby store for a couple of bucks.

    • Is there one that closes magnetically instead of with buttons? The wear and tear will eventually wreck this.

      • my button one has lasted me almost 2 years now. it was around $1 from ebay. really useful to hold my work keys and keep them in the same pocket as my phone. buttons arent showing any signs of wear.

  • received key holder today. great price but terrible quality. was hoping for something that compacts my keys so that they don't scratch other items in my bag but this key holder turned out to be even "sharper" at the edges than my keys. the workmanship is most awful. worth a dollar though.
