+1 voteSkyFireVII on 10/12/2010 - 11:48 ¶quick warning…it says enter name of patron that uses it so technically they might print your name on the ticket and then ONLY you can use it…i.e. with identification
i was going to buy 4, but 40 tickets in 6months is insane…and the risk of not being able to share with mates is a risk i won't be taking
10 tickets is enoughh for me
just a warning that you may not be able to share these (i myself am unsure)
greenpossum on 10/12/2010 - 12:16 ¶I doubt if it will be a problem even if it has your name printed on it. People go to the movies together so you wouldn't expect your wife's and kids' names printed on the voucher. And I doubt if they will ask if one the people in the group has the name and photo ID, imagine the holdups it will cause. And there is nothing in the T&C saying you can't give away vouchers.

Anyone who is seeing the "website is down" splash page. Try http://mcapplause.com.au then click on Movie vouchers and choose "Village Movie Vouchers - MasterCard special offer - All States"
Hope it helps

I wonder if they're going to cancel any orders, 'coz it says "until allocation is sold out" - and I wonder if their site tracks inventory, or keeps taking orders well after they've run out of tickets.
Note: these AREN'T the offpeak vouchers and can be used on Fridays, Saturdays (but not after 5pm) and Sunday, so the price is incredible.
Another note: you'll still have to pay the "3D tax" if you use these to see 3D movies.
greenpossum on 10/12/2010 - 12:17 ¶It's easy to track inventory, just a counter of the number of books sold so far.
greenpossum on 10/12/2010 - 12:49 ¶Well it's not as if they have to go count widgets remaining in a stock room. And if they have been selling tickets to events, they ought to have a clue. (I hope.)
IsometricBacon on 10/12/2010 - 13:35 ¶Where did you read that?
I can see:
"Valid for use at all Village, Greater Union, Birch Carroll & Coyle and Event Cinemas Australia-wide for any session, any time, seven days a week except for Saturday after 5pm."
Marion is Event Cinemas, so it shouldn't be a problem. I haven't missed anything have I?

Did the site crash coz of a sellout or was it because of the cyber attacks as a result of mastercard withdrawing support for wikileaks?

Add $7.95 for delivery.
Still very cheap.
Waiting till January 2011 is the only problem.
